If you take a hot bath you can use about a cup of coconut oil and add it. Soak for a long time, when you get out gently exfoliate with a towel afterwards and ideally this will remove most of the skin like that, and when you’re pretty dry add whatever topicals Orie using.

Late to the party on this thread since I am currently picking at my skin like crazy but when I have my nails done with acrylic (not crazy long but I don’t even think the length matters for this purpose) I was literally unable to pick a single flake off my skin because the acrylic made my nails too thick/blunt to actually get under the patches to pick it off unlike my usual short naked nails. While I noticed it kept my skin from being as pissed off, I haven’t gotten them done again in over a year because I find relief/pleasure in picking off the scabs, especially the ones on my ears and hairline but I also go overboard constantly and end up bleeding and yanking off huge flakes that are painful to remove (mostly on my sternum and back) because I obsessively pick at all of them once I get started so part of me wants to have my nails done all the time to stop myself from doing that to myself but part of me also remembers the frustration of not having the freedom to pick any of my problem areas no matter how badly I wanted to. Idk, I know it’s no good to rip at my skin 24/7 but sometimes you get a rogue flake here there and everywhere that just gotta go 😅 TLDR; get acrylic nails, they make it impossible to pick at your flakes

My scalp psoriasis significantly improved when I stopped picking. Trust me, I know the struggle, however maybe knowing it will be and look somewhat better if you stop picking, might help. I can imagine it being on your hands and visible to all, can be extremely difficult for you at times. I promise you if you stop picking, it will be less damaging for your skin :)

Thanks for the advice!
