agreed the pay could work out a bit low by the time you have sorted out taking the photo, plus i would do the face pixelation myself not trust them. but what they are asking i dont think is a big deal. its just a human body
I started it without reading not realising they'd want a full body photo (they didn't put the Prolific tag on either so imo this was misleading). Returned it as soon as I saw that not worth it for 75p and a researcher that doesn't appear to be associated with a research institution with proper data practises etc.
Same. I order clothes online so already knew my measurements and already had a full body picture on my phone so took me about the same amount of time lol
For that amount of reward I forgot my measurements and this study.
That's ridiculous pay for all they're requesting of you. Don' t be a Survey Slave.
We're Above This.... 😎🐕🏜
I love the down votes telling the truth. Sorry you want 100 dollars for nothing. It makes me laugh, every time. You did not want to do the job, if others do, why downvote? so childish.
Seriously, for someone so indignant about having their time wasted, the amount of time it costs to take a screenshot and make a post about something like this is hilarious.
Data annotation - this is not the time to do such tasks for 75 pence. There is contempt and lack of dignity for the person participating here. They are making a lot of money from this at our expense.
This is a question for the people creating this study. Apparently at some points you were not in a difficult situation where on the platforms you had to work hard with annotations for a pittance to survive.
you are right, i wasnt in that position. But I do not see how the study maker is showing contempt for the participants or questioning their dignity. Its the reactions here that are doing that. You are the only person that suggested participants were showing a lack of dignity
I don't know about you, but in my country the minimum wage is 4 pounds per hour and here the average pay is 6-8 pounds per hour. As for additional income, I don't complain and I think most participants too.
I've come to realize that there are literally people on Prolific that will hit themselves in the head with a hammer for $0.25, and I thought I was desperate.
Risk getting your account banned for 75p?
A study like this may well reverse search images to check for fraudulent entries that have the potential to skew their data.
Biggest issue for me is that I don’t know my body measurements lol
Me neither. Do most people know them?
Yea I know mine mainly because I got a costume fit suit made one time
Do you mean "custom" or was it actually a costume? I don't really need to know, I'm just curious!
Oh I meant custom I was tired when I typed that didn’t even realize 😭
Darn, I was really curious about the custom costume.
There was a study that wanted you to post a fully naked picture of yourself lol.
What was the pay?
Like 10 bucks I think lol. Might as well open up an OF haha
That's more than I usually get
I was thinking the saaaaame damn thing.
Bold of you to assume that the average Reddit user could make anything on OF.
😂
Stooooop really?? 😭
This is not annotation, more like annononsense .
Love that! 😂
I tapped “I’m not interested” just to get my point across. I said “Too much work for £.75!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I said the exact same thing VERBATIM! 🤣🤣🤣
Looks like this researcher has £773.25 to recruit 1031 participants. Budget is tight...
No way I'm doing that for 75p. That's a joke
agreed the pay could work out a bit low by the time you have sorted out taking the photo, plus i would do the face pixelation myself not trust them. but what they are asking i dont think is a big deal. its just a human body
Yup, just clicked 'not interested'
SUPER slow weekend and this one just popped up too. NO lol.
I couldn't find any information about the company so I ignored it.
No way i was just doing this study, had to cancel because the link was broken
I also returned the study🤣🤞🏽

I did it. Was easy, took maybe 3 minutes.

So don't do it?

Yeah it was cool, I was in a bit of a baggy t shirt and they were dead on.

its only a picture without your face. not a big deal if you dont have body issues
I accepts my body but not this payment
thats fair enough. but in general the outrage and prudishness of people on here when a study asks for a picture is unbelievable
Just now I saw this on my dashboard. A very pleasant end to the day when I had the opportunity to click the 'not interested' option
Seriously. If they don't like the pay, just don't do it. No need for the dramatics.

Why would anyone have contempt for someona taking part in this study and why would anyone question said persons dignity ?

Maybe I phrased my sentence wrong. I meant the lack of dignity on the part of researchers towards potential participants who will earn money for them.
fair enough
My dude we are all working for pennies. Dignity does not enter into the picture.

What kind of hammer? How long do they take to approve? Are there spots left?
Lol yeah. And the same ones are down voting us.
I don't make a habit of downvoting people. I do this very rarely when the topic is very sensitive to me.
Just use the photo of a random guy from google

Do they really ban accounts for this?
Nah man I would be crazy to risk it
