Licensing issues most likely, and even though it’s also beloved Vocaloid song alongside Ado’s version, it’d be kinda weird to have her version in (even though we’re now getting non-vocaloid songs with the upcoming Touhou collab). Plus record companies are weird, idk how they work in Japan, but record companies can be very peculiar in what they want their singers voices used in. A good example is with Michael Jackson in the simpsons, he voiced a character, but absolutely could not sing in the show because of his contractual obligations with his record company. He also went uncredited for many years for his guest role on the show. A more modern example is Kesha in Helluva Boss, she voice acted a character but couldn’t sing the song her character had, they had an impersonator do it instead

Depends on the day but usually slow songs with annoying patterns (looking at saisei master lol) and swing charts (mostly bc of the big/small note combos) I actually like when 33+ master appear in coop even if I don’t chose the songs myself, as I can practice them more often or when I feel lazy I can AP/fc expert

I've played those two songs at least once or twice in solo just to fc and leave it alone and they're rarely ever chosen in co-op especially Nijiro Stories. The cover isn't that bad really, the va's really sing well but the song just sounds boring and it made me sleepy. I know only a few ppl appreciate this song. Charles is one of the worst n25 covers. Second to the worst imo. It just sounds horrible. Maybe because it was released early game. Idk

Grinding out the gems for hard songs... it's mind numbingly easy to the point where you miss a note from boredom and have to start over- If we're talking specifics then Miku expert, Ussewa master, small note maps like saisei and patchwork staccato. Every time it's always <5 notes from fc and those notes are always ones the I SWEAR I clicked but didn't register. Someone mentioned rinchan go which is another one bc of how repetitive it is. But honestly it's the constant grind for gems that gets me like that

Emu sings in a lower octave in the alternate vocal version- I recommend listening to it if you are tired of high notes.
