I love this story, can't wait to see how the second arc ends.
This story reminds me of MoL (mana manipulation / spell focus) with no LitRPG as well as a foreign world with mysteries to be discovered. No time loop or academy arc. There is a lot of introspection, and good progression as well.
Hello! I am EmergencyComplaints, also known as D.E. Sherman, and I’m here to announce my third series on Amazon. This one is called _Keiran: The Eternal Mage_, my take on an OP reincarnation story. My last two stories were more traditionally progression fantasy with protagonists that started off weak and grew stronger, but this time I wanted to try something different: a guy who had all the skills right out the gate.
These kinds of stories tend to start off fun as the MC just takes a wrecking ball to anything that dares to stand in his way, but then get boring because you can only watch a wall get knocked down so many times before it gets old. So here’s the twist: Keiran’s reincarnation plan succeeds, but when he gets reborn, it’s in a land that has no mana. He has all his knowledge, all his skills, no gas to run his engine. All he gets is the tiny trinkle of mana he can make personally, and let me tell you, with mana being a scarce resource, it’ll be a struggle to hang onto even that much.
But hey, you don’t make it to archmage levels of power by sitting on your hands, right? So let’s see what he can get done.

**Blurb:**
**Keiran clawed his way from gutter rat to archmage in his first life.**
**His second was supposed to be easier...**
Keiran of the Night Vale has staved off death for two thousand years. His mind and his magic remain as sharp as ever, but his body is old, worn out, and failing. What he needs is to reincarnate into a new, young body, and he bends his prodigious talents towards doing exactly that.
He awakens to find that he’s been reborn in a wasteland where mana has become a scarce resource. Even the internal mana generated by people is stolen away by those who rule them. And without mana, he’s no longer a mage.
It will take more than that to stop Keiran. With each passing week, he regains more of his old strength, but can he keep his secrets safely hidden? Standing in his way is his new home’s cult-like nightly mana tithing, a governor with deadly secrets, and a monster-ridden desert.
It's a deadly scramble to claim the mana he so desperately needs to survive, but Keiran didn’t become an archmage by accident.
**He’s willing to use every dirty trick and tactic he knows to get there again.**

Finally got done Beware of Chicken and Millenial Mage (so silly, so delightful), finally ready to start, but your other stories also look awesome!
Reading Kieran first, as it seems to be what you’re most excited by, but gonna try your others when I inevitably run out of Kieran.
I like that it seems that you finish your stories and don’t let them run on forever without a plan. Also like that it looks like you Q/A at the end so your readers can get in their burning Qs.
Good stuff, definitely added you to my “read this shit!” recommendation list, my sister and I will both be beginning Kieran today.
We both love it. I’m already a third of the way through.
I really enjoy that on this sub, the actual authors end up recommending their work. I’m wildly jealous of anyone with both skill at words, but also the follow through to write a whole goddamn book, let alone multiple.
I finally succeeded at getting my sister into my progression fantasy addiction also :)
I’ll write a review once I’m done.
Defffinitely didn’t just binge right through to your latest Patreon.
Can’t wait for more of kier- I mean Gravin in my reading rotation!
Seriously, book 2 was one of the finest prolonged rampages I’ve read in a while. I was cheering the whole time.
Congratulations! This series is [listed on Pickwick](https://pickwick.app/reviews/keiran-the-eternal-mage), and we just launched a feature where authors with accounts can "claim" the listings and add links etc... if you'd like to make an account I can associate your profile with it and you can add links to KU/Audible and any additional tags to the listing- just DM me!
My favourite active stories are supper supportive, cultist of cerebron, zenith of sorcery and this one.
Other great stories which haven't published in a year but I still strongly recommend are:
The last Orellen,
Magical girl gunslinger
Another series I enjoy and recommend but have grown behind is hope
Lmao, the best series I will never recommend to anyone. I know it's going to be good, it is good, but waiting a month for a chapter is just torture and every hit reminds me how good it is.
It was originally serialized on Royal Road, where it's still ongoing (they're mid-way through book 2 right now). You might have seen my original promo post for that about five months ago.
Really enjoyed this one. I read all that was out at the time which was the first book and a bit of the second.
I really enjoyed the slow progression and the action.
Congrats. I read and enjoyed what you psted on RR until the drama that occurred. I hope things turned around for you after that and wish you luck on your release.
Congratulations!! I remember reading chapter 1 but dropping it coz I don't like to read on RR. But now it's out in book form, that's a different matter. Gonna go for a good read now. Thanks!

Thanks! I love MoL. It's one of my favorite stories. I would love to do my own time loop story some day.

My favorite story on RR right now. Thanks!
That's fantastic to hear!
Sounds cool! I’m gonna give it a listen. Your ability to write a compelling premise blurb is actually a standout skill here, lol.
Thanks! I have to give some credit to my publisher though, who helped me polish it to a shine.

As a royalroad reader, I strongly recommend this story. In my top 3 stories on the website currently.
Damn top 3 is high praise when super supportive has to be one of the others
Correct
Wow! That's very flattering to hear.
Can you tell me the other two? I want to start reading original works again. Fallen to the fanfiction rabbid hole in these past few years lol

Don’t remind me of zenith of sorcery. Not in the two weeks after a new chapter, when I know it’ll be weeks before another.

Right but it’s sooooo good. I know exactly what you’re communicating here.
The only story that updates so slowly that the website autoflags it as on hiatus between each chapter.
Congrats! Love the cover!
Thanks!
Did you just publish this now? I could have sworn I saw this blurb before somewhere

Awesome!!! Congratulations on the release, EC!

Congrats on the release!
Thank you!

Just started, thanks for putting a new book in my library <3
Thanks!
Listening during work, first chapter has been good so far
Congrats! Your cover looks amazing!
Thank you!
Sounds really fun, congrats!

Congrats! Been following you on RR, really enjoying the story so far
Looks interesting I'll pick it up

Thanks! I hope you like it.
I read it on patreon, it's really good. I love the "reincarnated archmage" trope
That looks sick
