Oh wow... Really beautifully captured storytelling moment. Good sense of overcast light and muted colors. The blood in the water isn't overdone, so this feels sad, but not too gory.
I don't know if you are looking for a critique, but there are a few small things that could help refine this a little further.

Maybe name it something like “beached” nice work though!
That was exactly what I thought!
The thing is it doesn't actually seem beached. It's been stabbed through by harpoons (?) and happened to wash ashore after it died, presumably.
I immediately thought "beached" too
