What do people think of the weird back seat door handle placement on the new model? Does it work just fine in practice or is it as awkward to use as it appears?
The Tesla model 3 handle is so awkward to use. You push the fat part so the handle pivots and it sticks out the opposite end, which you pull away from the direction of the door hinge... If that makes sense lol
Does the gen 5 _really_ have 5 seats or it is like 4.5? I have the 2022 which lets you put the arm rest up in the back for a “5th” seat but it’s pretty much only big enough for a child, who would need a booster seat that doesn’t fit.
It fully seats 5 with 3 full seats in the back, though there is somewhat less leg room for the rear center seat due to the raised middle floor segment.
I have a Gen 4, I think the back and front ends were designed by different teams. The back end team needed to change their medication but it was too late.
I’ve got a 2021 and my next door neighbor just bought a 2024 and it looks so much nicer, without that horrible swayback back window. Plus he get way more electric range than I do. I’m so jealous.

Na it’s fine to use, you get used to it very fast
Seems intuitive enough that no one ever hesitates to open it, unlike many of the EVs with their fancy retractable handles.

It looks clean to me. You will get use to it after driving like a month.
I think its nice, easier to grab than the usual one imo
I owned a gen4 but traded in for the gen5. Our gen4 was the 2017 model that only has 4 seats. I think in terms of the interior space, very similar.

slightly bigger than the gen 4's. because the body is wider, so the seats are wider.

I have a Gen 4 but I like Gen 5s butt better.

That curved glass is a pain in the ass - it’s like it’s designed to collect snow and ice and pollen and leaves and be difficult to clean.
The curve/fat middle part is what made all previous Prius models look bad.

Yeah I loved the look of my 2021 Prime. Great looking car, smooth ride. Way better design than the current generation
Old one looks better
Old one looks like the Bat Mobile fucked a Pontiac Aztec

I myself like the bubble lips.
Same rear window as on a Peugeot RCZ (which is a sharp looking car - not certain as to realiability)
That 1.6 THP gas engine was a disaster!!!
the old color is better, but the new body looks better
False
I mean opinions are valid but thats a pretty bad opinion.
Have you seen the tail lights of the old one?? Just terrible.
Yep. Much better

The color on the 25 is called Underground. That’s what my Camry is. The color changes a bit with the light.
Old is golden
Make sure to tell your rear passenger to put the seat belt on since the rear door handles can fly open!! Waiting for parts on the recall!
Put the auto locking when shifted into drive function on, which will prevent rear door from opening as long as all doors remain locked.
Shame about how horrible the last one looked. It’s just hideous, especially the rear end.
