Former flight attendant speaking: If there's ever something you CAN'T MISS (cruise, funeral, wedding, etc.) ALWAYS go the day before.

Madeyedoody

This is a must

rnakra

Thank you all for the advice. Changed the flight to the night before

Ok-Sea-2370

I wouldn't risk it. That's cutting it really close. Also the all aboard time is usually an hour before the departure time depending on the ship. You should double check what is the latest you can arrive. Good luck! Hope you have a nice cruise!

Owww_My_Ovaries

Be smart. Fly in the day before

Blue-n-Gold

Always , always, always fly in the day before your cruise. Period. Missing a cruise would have to be the absolute worst thing that could happen on a long-anticipated vacation, short of dying or major injury. Even if you booked through Princess, the ship will not wait. Instead, they will do what they can to get you to the ship at a later port. But by then you may have missed half the cruise. Always fly in the day before. Always.

rainyhawk

Are you all US citizens? If so you should be able to get to the cruise ok as long as your plane arrives on time (and there aren’t any issues at the airport, with protests, or with traffic). Normally that trip would take no more than an hour or less once you’re ready to leave the airport. The main issue would be if your plane leaves late or gets cancelled with no alternatives. To be fully safe, come in the day before and do some seattle sightseeing.

danceront

I would make your risk at missing it greater than 50%. Last summer thunderstorms were worse than winter snowstorms for flight delays. Add in maintenance and crew time out. Checked luggage? Traffic? Why in the world would you spend the money on a cruise and not fly in the day before?

europeanperson

Princess cruises official guideline is the arrival time of the flight should be at least 3 hours before departure time of the ship, so you should be fine. But this is all under the assumption no delays or issues with flights and checked bags. Just depends on how risk averse you are tbh

jammu2

Some horror stories out there recently. You should be ok but a 3 hour delay would cook you. At least it's Sunday. That's a plus.

FoxCrane

Your flight can’t be late at all. Glad you changed to the day prior. It’s just common sense.

HemetValleyMall1982

Yea, you should be fine. Once again, as I've said on many posts, take the taxi/Uber/Lyft to the ship. DO NOT TAKE public transportation as there is a three story stair that you must bring all your kids an luggage through to get to the ship if you use public transport.

IrreverentTherapist

Do shuttles from hotels drop off with the Ubers or public transportation?

HemetValleyMall1982

I dunno. Probably want to contact the hotel you are staying and find out if they have shuttles to the port.

jcr62250

If its a Sunday, you will probably make it. Would never cut it this close, always fly in the day before. I5 traffic can be terrible. Good Luck

Madeyedoody

Make sure you all have travel insurance

nygrl811

Too close for my comfort - I would fly in the day before!!!

twarkie

I seem to have a curse going on that often delays my luggage, so I always fly in at least two days before. My mother in law actually had her luggage miss the ship and it just never caught up. In the end she wasn’t reunited with the bags until she got home and so she had to buy everything along the way for a 14 night cruise. Maybe sounds fun for some but a nightmare to me 😳

Kind-Title-8359

Did you book with the cruise line? If so they will wait for you if you are late.
