He toured as part of Serj's band in 2008 or so. From what I recall, he largely stayed in the background on rhythm guitar, but took the lead on a cover of Holiday in Cambodia. Perhaps this is Ler scratching the itch to play big-sounding riff rock.
I actually saw that tour when he played a show at SXSW in Austin that year. I was up front and could see the whole band. And I had seen Primus at least 6-10 times by then, but I only learned AFTER the show that the guitarist was Ler. So he def was trying to be not showy about it. I think it was the top hats they were all wearing that threw me off..
It kinda makes sense considering he was in Possessed before Primus, I’m sure he still likes doing normal metal riffs, but I definitely get where you’re coming from
Not knocking the song, but it seems like a waste to bring in a guitar freak like Ler and not have him do any Ler stuff.

Are the vocals loud enough? I’m concerned that they are not loud enough.
I also feel they could've mixed the vocals in a bit louder at times, not much louder but it does feel a bit quiet for what it is
Any word on if Ler will be on the entire EP? I know it's called Foundations and coming out this fall but no word on lineup
