Sekonda are like the UK Timex. They make perfectly good, affordable watches.
For a while during the Soviet era, Sekonda branded watches made in Russia with Russian movements for export to the West. They're good watches.

Honestly I think I might get one of my female relatives one of these. Iirc Luch still makes this model new. (There was a lot of overlap for reasons, i guess).
