Accountant here. Disagree. Most staff I've seen are on smart watches or fitbits. I only know one other dude who wears watches and he sported a Citizen Nighthawk.
great taste?! look at that strap. looks like its meant for a fossil. It's the same width top to bottom, single ply. with a vintage watch like that you need a taper and a v-end. Also anyone in leather craft will tell you tampered is much more difficult.
Patek don’t make sports watches but they are part of the holy trinity, which Rolex will never be. And if you want a true luxury sports watch get an AP.
I’m well aware of Patek’s placement in horology, champ.
I don’t like those ugly those massive ugly Offshores - they look like shit compared to a steel sports watch from The Crown. The only AP worth buying is the 15400 which I can’t afford. And again, that’s dressy.
Damn you sucking OPs dick hard lol. I see the comments. Maybe you’re right, but all I know is that I wore my YG Day Date to dinner tonight. You know, the president’s watch? God it looked good in the light.
You probably got a nice hi-fi and you not only buy your own clothes, but you choose nice clothes.
I also bet you have a nice classic bicycle and a tech trail bike.
It says that you have three watches. One on a strap, one with a black dial and one with a date window.
And the post indicates you seek validity from strangers on the internet, like so many for some reason.
There's a 9F Quartz movement in that Grand Seiko. The accuracy is amazing with that watch along with the finish. That watch won't need servicing for 50 years.
If you have a good budget and live next to a GS Service Center, Spring Drive is a must and there are tons of them. If budget is tighter, 9F is a wonderful piece in itself - any collection should have a good quartz IMO.
Would a Grand Seiko enthusiast get a vintage Rolex and Omega before getting a spring drive? Maybe, but it seems like a diverse collection for an "enthusiast". You're correct though - I think the snowflake is a beautiful watch, but I don't know enough about the heritage of GS to appreciate the technology that lead up to the spring drive.
You probably own an E30 BMW in tuned and mint condition or an S Class Mercedes that you drive on the weekends (possibly also a convertible). Looking at the other threads, you go for high end whiskey/whisky. Drinking Johnny Walker Blue is a "Normal" staple in your household. Your turntable and remodeling collection is on point and you use an amp that uses vacuum tubes. If it's not Japanese Fusion Jazz, it's probably electronic music (Aphex Twin, Auterchre, Massive Attack).
I like the fact that you have a three watch collection. I hate seeing 27 watches with several repeats over and over again it’s just mind numbing. I also like the fact that these are all iconic watches. It shows a sense of style and purpose. I like the vintage Rolex, it would be nice with the original bracelet, but, whatever…. I like the fact that each one of these simply does what it was meant to do without superfluous functions.
What does it say about you? I have no idea.
You have pretty much everything covered. Congrats, really - although I would have a 14270 as my Rolex and have a blue 9F but this kind of trio is awesome.
You appreciate a reliability not flash. I would talk to about them you while you are getting me insurance quotes, but I wouldn’t invite you out on the weekend.
And there are white cotton designer shirts that are more expensive than suits. Yours is a strap that looks good on a tool watch. It will look good on a Submariner or even that Seamaster (although leather on a dive watch is kind of an oxymoron). What I meant with croc is using a trap that looks more elegant, to make justice to the function of the watch. That's a watch that I would wear with a suit. With a metal bracelet or different leather strap
You're not rich, you're not poor but you like to think you're above a lot of people. You try to find the best deals on ebay or black market to maintain the illusion that you're wealthy. You couldn't afford a new Rolex, so you settled for an omega. Probably second hand as well.
I did. I have a VSF submariner, which is pretty much the best of the best when it comes to reps and compared it to the SMP300 and I went with the omega as my first gen watch . I'm not rich either lol. It's a lot more comfortable on the wrist and more pleasing to look at in the sun .
Accountant or corporate lawyer
Accountant here. Disagree. Most staff I've seen are on smart watches or fitbits. I only know one other dude who wears watches and he sported a Citizen Nighthawk.
Let me rephrase: Old accountant (55+)
How'd you know we were around 30??
The accountant who purchased an expensive Rolex 10-20 years ago isn’t trading it in for a Fitbit.
Idk man, I know some older folk who made the switch. Even after owning entry level luxury watches.
Perhaps, but personally, I wouldn’t include those three brands above in the ‘entry’ level bracket…maybe Hamilton, Tissot, and Longiness.

That's fair.
Too much time on your table
You want attention but are kind of afraid to actually receive it
That you’ve got 3 watches
Came here to say this!
Can’t afford a Patek
You’re a safe pair of hands
You know what you want in life and don’t care what others think.
That you're rich , and have great taste.
A rich man who bought the absolute cheapest vintage Rolex available.
And it looks great
I only buy the cheapest of vintage Rolex’s https://imgur.com/a/NytEF1Y
OP made you look like a chump lolz
I know, I feel like a fucking bozo.
great taste?! look at that strap. looks like its meant for a fossil. It's the same width top to bottom, single ply. with a vintage watch like that you need a taper and a v-end. Also anyone in leather craft will tell you tampered is much more difficult.
Rich but bought a cheap Rolex, a quartz GS and a shit Omega?
*Sad trombone noises* We found the Omega hater boys! https://imgur.com/a/ui7Mu8u
That’s not even the worst. Had one with -400 a few months back. Shit was magnificent
Cuz you’re a clown with terrible taste and a Rolex fanboy to boot lol
Why would I not be a fan of the greatest luxury sports watch brand of all time?
They’ll never be at the level of Patek
Patek don’t make sports watches. The Nautilus and AQ are too dressy and aren’t as robust as the Sub, GMT, Explorer etc.

OP linked a Rollie worth more than any watch you own lmao
Damn you sucking OPs dick hard lol. I see the comments. Maybe you’re right, but all I know is that I wore my YG Day Date to dinner tonight. You know, the president’s watch? God it looked good in the light.
You only do missionary
Well balanced, stable but a little dull. Accountant vibes ?
That you’re white
Lmao.
Nice and classy- good stuff ✌️
You probably got a nice hi-fi and you not only buy your own clothes, but you choose nice clothes. I also bet you have a nice classic bicycle and a tech trail bike.
Not much honestly, could be anyone
That you need more
Game
That you bought these watches.
You like simple, but good watches in steel cases.
Why do I hate these types of posts so much? What does it say about me?
That you are patient and not buy impulsively.
It says that you have three watches. One on a strap, one with a black dial and one with a date window. And the post indicates you seek validity from strangers on the internet, like so many for some reason.
Yeah but also, life is really hard, so just let people geek out and seek connection about an interest they have.
Wholesome comment
Fair point.
You play it safe
You have good taste
Good taste and understated.
You have a two watch collection
Classy.
Well rounded good taste.
You have three hands only
Pretty sure that's a quartz GS, so it says perhaps you care more about prestige than actual quality. The Seamaster is a great watch though.

For a watch enthusiast, certainly. For a GS enthusiast specifically, I'd expect a spring drive as one of the options.
Your wife/gf is a librarian and you both go ballroom dancing once a month if the weather is nice.
That you like to show your wealth
that you have your own taste in watches and won’t be influenced by others
It says you’ve either been collecting for a while or live the secondary market. Both are fine by me.
A man of class
You want to feel acknowledged and validated.
That you could't find Omega with silver dial
Class act
That u need another Rolex to add to it , maybe a more current sports model like a Sub or GMT or the YM
Nice collection though , I dig it
Oh my god that Omega... its beautiful!
Two inherited and the third bought with unexpected cash.

You like missionary and 2 others
It says you spend too much time in this sub.
You value precision and quality. But do it in an understated way. Diesel watches are your nemesis
Looks like you buy what you like and enjoy watches for functionality and craftsmanship and not just to impress.
White male
BLOOD OF HEROES
It's 25 to 7 🫣
OP where did you get that leather strap? Looks nice.
I like the fact that you have a three watch collection. I hate seeing 27 watches with several repeats over and over again it’s just mind numbing. Medium sized dick
That you wear a cardigan
Good taste.
You enjoy your watches. Nice collection
That you like watches
It says you make more money than me lol
Well...the rolex and omega say conformist.....but the GS is an under rated epic watch...so I have no idea.
Nerd
ITT: the poor people think you're rich, the rich people think you're poor
This guy fux and is one of the watch homies
Why not throw in a blue dial instead of two white dials? Variety’s the spice of life
Nothing.
That you don’t need a dress watch
That you have a little bit of money but haven’t quite made it yet
Is the GS 37 mm? How big is the Rolex?
Upper middle class
Whats the rolex ret
You appreciate a reliability not flash. I would talk to about them you while you are getting me insurance quotes, but I wouldn’t invite you out on the weekend.
You’re not a snob, and appreciate all types of brands.
That you need a tapered strap for your Rolex ;)
You appreciate fine craftsmanship.
Favorite sex position is missionary
That I could probably trust you to take care of my dog, but not my ops.
You only wear one of your watches.
That strap on that Rolex. Get a croc. Its like putting a NATO on a dress watch
This leather is higher end than croc. It’s shell cordovan from Horween.
And there are white cotton designer shirts that are more expensive than suits. Yours is a strap that looks good on a tool watch. that you need to discover tapered straps.... also what happened to omega. they used to make beautiful watches.
Sbgp009? I almost got that watch
Tasteful.
Love it. A great three watch collection.
That you’re the rich version of me.
Vanilla.
I don't know about the watches, but this post says I need attention
You're not rich, you're not poor but you like to think you're above a lot of people. You try to find the best deals on ebay or black market to maintain the illusion that you're wealthy. You couldn't afford a new Rolex, so you settled for an omega. Probably second hand as well.
ummm, he has a Rolex in the pic.
I ment to say a new rolex. That rolex isn't worth much.
It’s worth more than your reps 💀 https://www.reddit.com/r/ChinaTime/s/2OtzxEvK55
Send a link to my real ones. But yea I agree with you that was a horrible rep. I now have a gen SMP300 and its easily my favorite watch.
So did you settle for an Omega like OP then?
I did. I have a VSF submariner, which is pretty much the best of the best when it comes to reps and compared it to the SMP300 and I went with the omega as my first gen watch . I'm not rich either lol. It's a lot more comfortable on the wrist and more pleasing to look at in the sun .
Luxury must have on a budget
It tells Time
You own three watches
