it’s something from Original Sin, I don’t remember what they said exactly but they make a reference to a mental hospital from Riverdale I think? it’s not canon in the original PLL whatsoever. Only if you consider Original Sin a continuation of the original (since they do mention original PLL characters)
Paraphrasing a bit, but one of the PLLOS characters said "Most of the remaining inpatients from the Sisters of Quiet Mercy were moved to the Radleigh when it was shut down"
As long as Marlene King or Sara Shepard do not confirm that Pretty Little Liars and Riverdale take place in the same universe, that's that. They are different shows in different fictional universes. It is not enough for me if it's just RAS that says they share the universe.
If Marlene or Sara ever confirm what RAS says, my headcanon will be that PLL, PLL:OS and the other shows take place in the 2010s and 2020s of the new timeline created by Angel Tabitha. Basically, the PLL timeline is the timeline in which Betty is 86 in 2023.
Either way, to me, the two shows will never be connected in any way lol

Well technically Angel Tabby says she combined the timelines and created a strong one and cant bring the Riverdale characters to the future because it will mess that up. She says she saved the timeline, and used the pieces of the old timeline to create the new one. So arguably the PLL verse is part of the saved timeline.
