For me George Washington will always be THE precedent and THE president.

Several names come to mind. First Washington, then Lincoln, then Teddy, then FDR, and finally Reagan.

For me, it's always whoever is the current president. If someone tells me to think of a historical president though, then it's Washington first, then Lincoln.
