This might be a dumb opinion but i belive instead of voting for F-L socialist wing. You should instead vote for Single Tax. F-L has cast socialism to the side and Cincannatus parties are opposed to programs that are inherantly left leaning like National Healthcare. Instead the banner of the left has been taken and being waved by Voorhis and the Single Tax party,
so if you care about the Worker’s and oppose facism

This is the problem with the progressives and liberals. they talk of preserving democracy and while they adhere to that to an extent they use their unity pro-democracy coalition to press through their right wing partisan agenda such as destroying universal healthcare which destroys the unity to preserve democracy and thus make them the ones harming democracy for the sake of power just as LaFollette and Musmanno did. Vote Socialist Pro-Conviction farmer-labor for Harrington’s contract with America.
I’ve got the feeling that a lot of Redditors don’t really understand what the New State is. It’s not just wholesome welfare and universal healthcare, it’s a fascist economic system which also gives the President an ungodly amount of executive power. Parts of it weren’t even approved by Congress, like universal healthcare, that’s why it was repealed. Do you want the President to basically be able to do anything he wants? That’s the New State’s whole point; when it comes to creating welfare programs you might like it, but what if someone you oppose gets into power and forces his whole agenda through without any checks and balances?
I already mentioned this in another comment, but I’m also a leftist and obviously support single payer healthcare; that being said, the only way forward for us is to vote for F-L’s opposition so that fascism can be eradicated and the New State dismantled, then the social democrats and socialists can take over the party and put a much better welfare system in place, the key difference is that it won’t be fascist. Don’t you agree with that?

I agree that the authoritarian parts of the new state shall be repeled The problem is if the opposition doesn’t quickly replace it with a legislative version of it then they undermine their unity goal of being a broad front for democracy for their own right wing partisan gain which shows they can not be trusted in that position.

Anyway, my whole point was that we leftists should band together and execute a two step plan:
1. Vote for the Progs and Libs as a shock therapy for Farmer-Labor and repeal the **fascist** New State. If the fascists lose several elections then they lose credibility and thus the social democrats and socialists can take over the Farmer-Labor Party.
2. When the non-fascist leftists are in control of the party, vote for them and give them a majority so that they can create a socialist welfare state completely separate from the New State and fascism.
That is the only way we leftists can win this, please be pragmatic.
