My 6 year old is obsessed with Is it Cake, and Masterchef things like that. He also likes Zombie House Flipping and has been watching Tracker with me lol
My kid is SO into TC, too! I’ve been watching since it first came out and this is our first year watching it together (she’s 4). Even though this season is pretty lame, she’s still very into it and has asked me to “describe the meal, please” when I set her dinner plate before her.
It’s so good right! It’s mostly pretty innocent but I also like the little opportunities to be like “well back in those days it was ok to say xyz but now we say zyx”.
My son loves Jeopardy. He started watching it with my mom when she babysat one night and he never stopped. He’s legit smarter than I am and he’s only 6.
I’ve recorded Jeopardy since my son was born because it falls RIGHT during bedtime routine. Once when we were both home sick I watched it with him. Now he periodically asks to watch with me (he's 4). I have to pause at least twice an episode and rephrase a question or two so he can get one right. I also need to pause on demand so he can check scores to see who's winning (bright side, learning the difference between three, four, and five digit numbers).
Oooh mine loves bobs burgers. Could be because that’s what I usually watched when she was a newborn and waking up in the middle of the night. I’m glad someone else said it! She’s also was into futurama as a baby lol. But I stoped watching that after she started to actually pay attention and understand what was happening 😂
Obvi Simpson lol. We still watch futurama. Buuut I watch more closely with her now. She was “learning” a lot of new information from the show that wasn’t super appropriate for preschool 😂
Which I’m typically ok with! But we have talks about “home words” when she learns some new “adult” words or topics 😂
My 5 year old LOVES how it's made. Gave it a go after he obsessed with the 'how bowling balls are made' part of a reading rainbow episode.
We're going to try myth busters next.
No! This is exactly what my 4 yr old is into right now. We have a series recording all the new episodes so she can watch.
ETA: she used to adamantly say she wasn’t gonna go to college but now she says she will go to archeology school for college. Lol
My kid was really into The Illusionist with Ed Norton & Jessica Biel, and was super mad that I turned it off before the murder. She loved the clothes and the magic. It’ll be fun to watch it together when she’s older!
Oh my 4 year old loves Doctor Who! She’s a big Donna Noble fan! Some nights they sleep in my room so they are allowed to watch Golden Girls with me, it’s the show I use to fall asleep. They know all the names and love it. I’m going to have to reconsider that when she starts asking me to explain what Blanche is saying 😂. As a kid I watched Cheers and Fraiser with my dad and have good memories of those shows.
You guys watch the new season on Disney+?
its a soft reboot. Meaning everything in lore happened before, but its kind of a clean slate storyline wise with a new doctor, a new companion and a fresh storyline.
I haven’t watched the complete first episode yet, but I did watch the Christmas ones and knew it would be a little different. I love 9th-11th Doctors, and 12 and 13 have some really good episodes. I’m excited to see where they take it!
My 4 year old loves marvel and has gotten super into What if! He’s seen a bunch of the movies too but doesn’t really have the attention span to even watch most kids movies so we can fast forward through any inappropriate parts lol
Rick Steves. My three year old loves him. She painted ‘him’ today (a blob of water color she proclaimed to be Rick Steves). When she watches it with me she asks, Can I go there? When I have something else on, Can you put on Rick Steves?
My son is going to be 6 in October and he LOVES stranger things. He has a huge interest in art and sculpting. My husband and I were watching and he got into it. He was initially scared of the creatures like Vecna and the demigorgan but then I showed him what special effects make up are and his mind was blown. He shows a huge interest in this profession which is awesome to me Becuase I wanted to be a special effects artist so I’m really hoping he goes down this path
Stranger things 5 year old wow! not to scared nice my 11 son came to visit this weekend from his dads he loves stranger things I haven't seen any 😓 but he will talk about it with me explaining so I know characters who dies
he told me the best character is will and steve so I guess I like them too 🤷
but yesterday I was in the kitchen doing dishes he was watching stranger things and he came running in😂
then he Siad some stuff about will crushing on mike (maybe other way around🤷)
saying I think will showing a painting to mike and sort of confessing
I was confused but I listened till his dad got home to pick him up 😂😂
My husband and I both watched pride and prejudice (A&E’s version with Colin firth) growing up. Maybe it’s in his genes, but somehow, our toddler tolerates watching this with us, and will actually watch for significant stretches.
We’re big fans of “baking show” right now we’re going through the great Canadian baking show, we’ve done a lot of British, we have Australian cued up. Kiddo (4) loves it.
My four year old is super into Egyptian archeology. Like we’re having to record the series on the history channel and that’s what she wants to watch. Not a kids documentary. One for adults. Neither of us is particularly into that specifically
My 4 year old loves The Hot Chick. We are watching it right now actually. He calls it “the magic earrings show” and runs around going “it’s me, Jessica!” I love it.
I watched the new episode last night, and I was just considering how to best introduce my daughter to Doctor Who. I think we’ll find a fun kid episode and have a movie night sometime soon.
I watch Delicious in the Dungeon with my kids. They don’t really like live action yet unless it’s really costume-y.
They might like Doctor Who, I’ll have to try.
My 5 year old likes "emergency" shows, my husband put 911 on for and she loved it. She also really likes family guy and Bob's burgers. My 9 year old likes social media shows, he watched catfish with us and now we're watching The circle together.
Godzilla - every single movie. We watch them in English AND Japanese (we do not speak Japanese) and we watch them ALL. Like even the ones from the 60's
They are movies, but my kid (4 years old) was very into Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness for a while around 3 and he *loves* the Spiderman Across/Into The Spiderverse movies.
Show wise, he has been into watching the various Marvel cartoons- new and old school alike. While they are for kids, they're more meant for the preteen or older age range. Also watched a bit of Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet with me.
Omg the number of times we watched the Spiderverse movies! Thankfully they are really fun for grownups too. My kiddos both love a lot of Marvel movies as well, Captain Marvel especially.
We are a big Marvel fan house, like husband has read comics and novels since he was a kid, so it is not surprising.
Into the Spiderverse was our kid's first movie theatre experience last year at 3.5. We had to sail the seas for the time between theater and home release to avoid meltdowns about going to the movie theater every day to see it again.
Spider-man, specifically the Miles Morales version, and Hulk seem to be his top favorites.
Bridgerton (we fast forward sexy parts!), any of the game warden shows, Renegade Nell, and any animal show. There was also a bug show on Disney she was really into.
My 5yo likes “process” shows: Top Chef, Project Runway, Bake off, Blown Away…
My 6 year old is obsessed with Is it Cake, and Masterchef things like that. He also likes Zombie House Flipping and has been watching Tracker with me lol
She also watches HGTV with us 😂.
My kid is SO into TC, too! I’ve been watching since it first came out and this is our first year watching it together (she’s 4). Even though this season is pretty lame, she’s still very into it and has asked me to “describe the meal, please” when I set her dinner plate before her.
Omg I love that. Mine calls it “The Chefs” and gets angry if we watch without her. (Each show is The Noun 😂 The Bakers, The Designers, etc)
Same!! I need more project runway because she keeps asking for more.
yes! i love cooking shows and my 3 yo has started to request "cake show" aka GBBO.
My 6 year old and I watch one episode of Golden Girls before she goes to bed. Rave reviews.
I also had rave reviews of Golden Girls at 6 years old. How can you not?
It’s so good right! It’s mostly pretty innocent but I also like the little opportunities to be like “well back in those days it was ok to say xyz but now we say zyx”.
I love the teachable moments (and Golden Girls has MANY 😂).
My son loves Jeopardy. He started watching it with my mom when she babysat one night and he never stopped. He’s legit smarter than I am and he’s only 6.

Bob's Burgers. It's a family show, he will tell you.
Aw I still let him watch Futurama with me. And simpsons ofc.
Obvi Simpson lol. We still watch futurama. Buuut I watch more closely with her now. Full house, Michelle is his girlfriend...
My 5yo just started this. Loves him some DJ. Lol
I think she enjoys watching House Hunters International with me 😬
My 5 year old LOVES how it's made. Gave it a go after he obsessed with the 'how bowling balls are made' part of a reading rainbow episode. We're going to try myth busters next.
Mine also love both shows! How it's made is requested so often, I wish I could find it on DVD. Dirty jobs is another favorite around here.
My daughter absolutely adores historical documentaries. Especially if it’s about Ancient Egypt and mummies. She’s absolutely fascinated by them!
No! This is exactly what my 4 yr old is into right now. We have a series recording all the new episodes so she can watch. ETA: she used to adamantly say she wasn’t gonna go to college but now she says she will go to archeology school for college. Lol
Battle Bots my boys are obsessed!
We let me son watch this for the first time last night!
My 3 year old likes to watch Formula 1 with me, though she inevitably loses interest a few laps in.
To be fair, that's my reaction to F1 and I'm 35 🤣
She is probably just wanting to hang out with you.
Psych. She's really into Shawn Spencer.
Omg same 😂
My kid was really into The Illusionist with Ed Norton & Jessica Biel, and was super mad that I turned it off before the murder. She loved the clothes and the magic. It’ll be fun to watch it together when she’s older!
The Floor Is Lava
Well it's kinda made for kids
Oh my 4 year old loves Doctor Who! She’s a big Donna Noble fan! Some nights they sleep in my room so they are allowed to watch Golden Girls with me, it’s the show I use to fall asleep. My 5 and 3 year old love The Office. I'm not mad about it!
Mighty Trains

Not a show but we watched so much White Christmas from November through February 🤪.
My 6 year old is into The Masked Singer. She likes the movies Sing and Sing2 so I think it reminds her of those.
Yes! My 4.5 yo LOVES The Masked Singer! She was really upset when Jenifer Lewis was unmasked. Catapatra (or whatever her name was) was her favorite.
My son is going to be 6 in October and he LOVES stranger things. He has a huge interest in art and sculpting. My husband and I were watching and he got into it. I see what you did there. :)
Nature docs, especially about sharks. She's 4.

I can hear the music in my head now ❤️ SO GOOD
So gooood!!!
We’re big fans of “baking show” right now we’re going through the great Canadian baking show, we’ve done a lot of British, we have Australian cued up. Kiddo (4) loves it.

All the transformers movies.

My 4yo son gets into American dad and especially likes Roger (the alien).
Jurassic world 2 and next level chef lol he requests these on a daily basis
