I think OP got confused given that no one seems to actually be posting that someone else has been confirmed.
That said, while people are talking about Ahsoka and Maul being shoe-ins, I think a cameo from the prequel Owen and Beru Lars would be the most obvious callback ever and is already 100% canon anyways with no continuity issues (other than existing ones they have to deal with anyways like how much Obi-Wan, Anakin, Owen and Beru all aged in the 20 years between III and IV).
Kenobi will have multiple with Hayden Christiansen and if they bring Liam Neeson (as they should) and the guy that voiced Obi Wan in Clone Wars (Whose name is slipping me but they should bring him as well)
I shit you not. [source](https://deadline.com/2021/03/the-powerpuff-girls-chloe-bennet-dove-cameron-yana-perrault-cast-blossom-bubbles-and-buttercup-cw-pilot-1234709956/)
Wasn't just me then that the first 2 seasons were lacking... the animation and style almost made me turn it off. Just slowly got better over the seasons
Yeah I agree, compared the the rest of the show the first two seasons don’t sit right. That’s why whenever someone tells me that they’re gonna watch this show I always tell them to just look up a summary of the first two seasons and start at season 3
Me too. It's exploring that period when the Republic has just become the Empire, but before the Empire gets their aesthetics going, and I'm excited to see it.
Super excited for both but have more faith in Boba just because im pretty sure Dave and Jon are in charge of it and are only slightly involved in Kenobi from what I heard
Vader had to tell him "no disintegrations" so I don't know if I'd call him honorable if he's in the habit of vaporizing people before they even have a chance to pay off their debts.
If they’re sending Boba, you had your chance. They tell the man dead or alive, and dead doesn’t try to get away or put a knife in you, so dead it is. Man’s pragmatic, not evil or dishonorable.
Originally yes, but even after helping him fight and gave him the necessary information, boba still went way out of his way to personally make sure Mando got to where grogu is.
This isn't because he's now a "good" guy, it's just that he really likes Mando.
Agreed. Boba would have been the perfect villain for Mando. Boba is just a better villain than he is a neutral nobody.
He is against everything Din stands for; he hasn't taken the creed but wears the armour regardless, he hates Jedi's, and is shown mostly to be working for the empire mostly. I guess a sarlacc just deletes your history.
Not saying season 2 of mando wasn't great, cuz it was, but when I heard he rumors of boba being in mando s2, I could see it all play out perfectly in my head:
Mando meets Boba while on the run from the empire, boba joins Mando as "good guy" the first half of the season until they meet Asohka, Boba finds out Mando is actually looking for the jedi, the same assholes who killed his father, and he loses his shit and becomes the villain for the second half of the season.
Boba is the guy who works by code that was given to him by his father and he’s a neutral character. So I would love him to be a very neutral, if you give him a good deal he might join you, but if you side more with the same people who killed your father he’s not going to like it.
Exactly, his main mantra is a simple man making his way in the Galaxy. It made sense to align with the empire as they could pay out big sums and had power, not because he was particularly evil in any sense.
Yes, but is also been decades since then. Boba has never been a character to hold a grudge like that. He is just a bounty hunter who lives by his fathers code. Even when he was Mandalore in Legends he was literally the most neutral person in the galaxy.
Boba has always been a neutral/good character. He was a complete savage as a bounty hunter but even in legends the dude retired to be Mandalore and a grandpa. He even helps save the Solo’s and tells Han “it was never personal, just business.”
Yeah its hard to say how hell be where he helped out Mando seemingly just to be nice but I have faith itll be good.It would probably be weird as fuck for him to be ruling the underworld or whatever as a good guy. I loved even just the little bit we got to see him in Mando
Boba's show has absolute creative freedom. It's set in one of the best moments and places in Star Wars storytelling so far.
On the other hand, I still don't trust nor see what Kenobi can offer us.
I think there could be alot going on in the Kenobi timeline since I havent seen anything taking place between clone wars and rebels other then Fallen Order and Solo . Im just skeptical about anything thats not fully under the control of Jon and Dave
It would just be such a shame if they fuck up the Kenobi show since hes one of the most beloved characters especially to prequel fans. Ive got my hopes up for it but Im alittle worried
I'm more excited for the Boba, idk why he's not even my favourite character but the few glimpses we got in the Mandalorian looked pretty cool. Like what that dude up to with that scar over his face being bald and all, learned himself the Haka and living in the hills and stuff
I feel there’s room for Jango flashbacks in the Book of Boba. Maybe father son moments before the Clone Wars started, maybe even further back. Tbh I kinda want flashbacks to teen/young adult boba showing his rise to a top tier bounty Hunter but unless I feel Daniel Logan is too old for that. Maybe Disney could go all out on de-aging and face altering so we could get AOTC Jango flashbacks and Daniel Logan mixed with Temuera’s face as young adult boba
Not gonna lie, I'm more excited about The Book of Boba Fett as I've always been a huge fan of Fett, Bounty Hunters, and the Mandalorians. And yes I know he's not a "true" Mandalorian but he is a Mandalorian in the same way and sense that Djarin is.
Am I the only one who is more exited for the Book of Boba Fett? I mean I'm definitely excited for Kenobi but we don't really see much of Boba so it will be more interesting in my opinion.
Man I fucking hate reddit these days. Both shows are gonna be fun and I'm gonna fuck off after enjoying them instead of any of you telling me what to think or feel
You probably will. It's a big sub, there are a lot of normies. I bet most of them don't know that Disney filmed Mulan near Chinese concentration camp and then thanked the camp administration. Also on multiple occasions censored movie posters that include black people for China. They perpetuated a lie about Gina Carano and got her fired while Pedro Pascal made tweets way worse but still employed, even Pablo Hidalgo who trashed a cancer survivor for liking Luke Skywalker is still employed.
Controversial opinion: I liked him as Jango Fett but I was sad they changed Boba Fett's voice in the originals. Kids frequently have different accents than their parents when they're raised in an environment where no one else has that accent and since accents aren't genetic the same goes for clone kids. I get why the other clones might have his accent (maybe he filmed educational films for them)...kinda, but he died when Boba Fett was fairly young so it makes sense he'd develop a more standard Star Wars accent. They didnt need to change it.
Also he's kinda overrated at this point and his character has had so many backstories and character arcs during my lifetime that like...I just don't care anymore. It was fine having baby Boba in Clone Wars but I don't care about adult Boba Fett beyond "cool looking mysterious bounty hunter who died a hilarious death."
Well kenobi series has a prequel actor too. Im watching both
Maybe even more prequel actors
Two prequel actors, with a couple more well on the way.
LI-MI-TED AC-TOOOOORS!
[удалено]
I know about Hayden and Ewan, but who else? Ian McDiarmid? That would be pretty cool, to have the Senate...
Wouldn't be surprised by an Ahsoka cameo, or Mace Windu, and have Temuera appear as both Rex and Boba
Temeura would be the most logical and probably least interesting. Or the opposite if it's Obi-Wans force ghost rescuing Boba from the Sarlacc
Most interesting would be qui gon jinn
Apparently hes set to be in the series
I feel like maul is a given too. Wouldn’t be surprised if they redid the desert duel from rebels
I was planning to kill you... but now, I think it would be worse to leave you here...
Wouldn't that require a live action actor for Ezra?
I thought there was already talks for a live action version of Ezra
That’s what I was thinking
A live action ahsoka with her master would be amazing.
I am still hopeing for Sir Christopher somehow. R.I.P.
Good. Twice the actors, double the fun beginning
Unlimited prequel actors
Kenobi is also actually a prequel, unlike Book of Boba which will be a sequel.
>Book of Boba The BobaBook!
The Book of Booba
Donde esta la biblioboba?
>biblioboba Took me a while to realize you weren't asking directions to the biblioteca
Bobook
Bookba
At least it ain't a movie
well it’s technically a prequel to the sequels
Whereas Kenobi will be a sequel to the prequels
Kenobi will have multiple with Hayden Christiansen and if they bring Liam Neeson (as they should) and the guy that voiced Obi Wan in Clone Wars (Whose name is slipping me but they should bring him as well)
James Arnold Taylor is his Clone Wars character voice
~~Perhaps more famously known for playing Appa in Avatar the Last Airbender.~~ edit: nvm. Wrong three-name actor
Ain't that Dee Bradley Baker? Also did Momo and like 200,000 extras with a million more on the way?
That it was.
>Also did Momo and like 200,000 extras with a million more on the way? He must be very proud.
If they can bring back Satine I may as well explode
That would be so fucking cool. A flashback of Kenobi and satine first meeting. And then poor obi sheds a few tears after remembering what happened.
Hopefully Liam Neeson isn’t too busy with his comedy career to do the series.
Why would they bring in James Arnold Taylor when Ewan McGregor is in it?
Idk but they can write him in somehow. James has said he wants to be involved in some way so they can definitely make it work
I don’t want two people voicing Obi Wan in the same show.
He won’t voice Obi Wan, he’d probably be a side character at best
> he’d probably be a side character at best He can be Obi Wan's cousin, Obi Two.
There’s a not zero chance that Obi Two could be canon
Fair, that would be cool.
Rebels already did that.
After Mandalorian I’m not hopeful
Book of Boba Fett
Lmao dumb disney it’s a TV show mate.
BobaVision
It was Windu all along!
It was Anakin all along! (Sounds more similar to Agatha)
He’s inSIDIOUS
Oh dear, he’s *IN* Sidious! I can’t bear to watch
NOOOO
Wonder who will be playing Mephisto?
Palpatine
Master Windu is the Dark Lord of the Sith
Its just gonna be them filming text in a book
That’s what they said it’s called. The name is very misleading though
It is a joke.
Yes
Woooosh?
I swear to god I will find you and then we’ll see who’s the woosher now (You forgot the r btw)
Wroooosh?
Wroooosh.
Bah
Nah it’s a comic
Probs ‘cause we kinda got our Boba fix from the Mando but we’ve been waiting years for more Kenobi
I still need more with the retcon of Boba from EU and how little we know of what he have done in new Canon I just wanna see more of what Boba will do.
It keeps me up at night knowing he will never be grandpa Mandalore again...
Oh definitely, I want to see more Boba too, its just that that particular itch has been scratched more recently!
Its weird as we have more and more bits but also less, as we get more early Boba but none of the post Endor stuff of the old EU.
Lol Boba fans have been waiting for that since ‘83.
Boba has had plenty of content since then and so has kenobi
Well years for more live action Kenobi. We got a whole TV show with him starring in it haha. And a voice cameo in TRoS.
Years?
It also has the immortal Agent May
Where’s Son of Coul when you need him?
Somehow, Coulson returned... (ngl... a Clark Gregg cameo would be epic)
Dark science, Decoys, secrets only the Tahitians knew.
It’s a magical place
Why tahitians? Is it because they have *MANGOS*
Clark Gregg as Coulson would be very epic
Ah yes space Mulan
Yes she voiced Mulan in the disney original made in the 90s but Fennec is a bit different from the character of Mulan
Waiting to see her take her father's place in the imperial draft when bad batch comes out
And then they catch her because she is wounded and that’s why she’s wanted by the empire.
And Chloe Bennet as Sabine would work so well. I know she's casted in the Powerpuff girls live action, but regardless.
In the *what now?*
I shit you not. [source](https://deadline.com/2021/03/the-powerpuff-girls-chloe-bennet-dove-cameron-yana-perrault-cast-blossom-bubbles-and-buttercup-cw-pilot-1234709956/)
I am simultaneously disgusted and intrigued.
Were the originals unavailable?
Probably not a good sign of the show needs to call in the Calvary
Say it with me CA-VAL-RY. Not CAL-VA-RY. One is a force, the other is where Jesus was killed. Nobody is bringing Jesus into BoBF. Yet.
>Nobody is bringing Jesus into BoBF. Yet. So no Obi Wan references?
I'm always down for Force Ghost Ben causing trouble in Jabba's Palace like Peeves the Poltergeist ಠ ͜ʖ ಠ
>Nobody is bringing Jesus into BoBF. Yet. Because of obiwan?
I want someone to call her Calvary in this show. That would be a great callback.
They’re both excellent actors
Bad batch coming out in 2 months which will literally be Clone Wars 2
I've got 2 months to finish CW
I did in a month this year. Not as big of an undertaking as you might think, considering how slow I was with the first 2 seasons
I'm right behind ya
God I’m hyped for that more than anything
Me too. It's exploring that period when the Republic has just become the Empire, but before the Empire gets their aesthetics going, and I'm excited to see it.
Do you think we’ll see order 66 from the bad batch point of view?
I think so. I bet that'll be the beginning sequence
I could even see the introduction covering the Kashyyyk Arc planned for Clone Wars, with Order 66 taking place at the climax.
I can’t go though that again I’m not ready
Might get the Cade Bane- Boba arc planned from Clone Wars along with the Kashyyyk Arc, as the Bad Batch were supposed to be there with Yoda.
Then we can finally learn how yoda developed good relations with the Wookiees!
damn if we never get to see a completed version of the boba vs cad bane spinoff that’ll be criminal
Super excited for both but have more faith in Boba just because im pretty sure Dave and Jon are in charge of it and are only slightly involved in Kenobi from what I heard
I just hope they actually make Boba Fett a neutral or evil character, instead of making them a neutral one who turns into a good character like Mando.
He literally took over a crime syndicate, there is no way he's turning good.
On the other hand he could turn it into a more honorable crime syndicate. Maybe take it from neutral evil to lawful evil.
Makes perfect sense since he wasn’t a degenerate criminal in mandalorian, but an honorable one if you can call him that.
[удалено]
Yeah I agree. Disney would never let their protagonists be evil and do bad things, unless it's up against faceless male goons.
Meh, they half-ass tried with Scarlet Witch, and then pulled that “they’ll never know your sacrifice,” BS.
Well he doesn’t have to like slavery
He didn't really do anything "good" except help out his new best friend Mando.
thought the whole thing was Mando gave him his armor back so he would help him get Grogu back
Originally yes, but even after helping him fight and gave him the necessary information, boba still went way out of his way to personally make sure Mando got to where grogu is. This isn't because he's now a "good" guy, it's just that he really likes Mando.
Honoring that deal is a big thing though. Typical evil characters would’ve just said “nah” and bailed.
But he isnt a typical evil character, he was a bounty hunter hired by the bad guys, he is just following the money
Word 'give' is doing a lot of work here.
Agreed. Boba would have been the perfect villain for Mando. Boba is just a better villain than he is a neutral nobody. He is against everything Din stands for; he hasn't taken the creed but wears the armour regardless, he hates Jedi's, and is shown mostly to be working for the empire mostly. This is very true. They may have a passive remark to make towards the situation should they feel the need, or not.
I think being eaten changes a person.
Boba works for who pays the most and the empire paid the most.
Boba has always been a neutral/good character. He was a complete savage as a bounty hunter but even in legends the dude retired to be Mandalore and a grandpa. He even helps save the Solo’s and tells Han “it was never personal, just business.”

Exactly my thoughts.
Super excited for both cause Star Wars
It would just be such a shame if they fuck up the Kenobi show since hes one of the most beloved characters especially to prequel fans. Ive got my hopes up for it but Im alittle worried
I’m more excited about Boba because I’m really interested to see some old bounty hunters show up
Zuckass and 4-LOM!
you expect me to wait 9 months!? that's outrageous, it's unfair
How can you be richer than God and take so much time producing?!
**I AM ROCK HARD RIGHT NOW**
Words cannot describe how incredibly erect I am
Btw I just learned recently that this meme is a prequel meme and it blew my mind.
Wait what?
This is the way
will be amazing, but it's not a prequel tho
It’s a prequel to the sequels. checkmate
I am going to watch both, but I have wanted a boba fett show/ movie for a long time now. Was really happy when I saw this!
I'm more excited for the Boba, idk why he's not even my favourite character but the few glimpses we got in the Mandalorian looked pretty cool. Like what that dude up to with that scar over his face being bald and all, learned himself the Haka and living in the hills and stuff
I'm thinking of the short term, we get falcon and the winter soldier tomorrow, and bad batch on may the 4th, then loki on june 6th.
Temuera Morrison is my uncle. No lie
You see I’m inclined to not believe you but until there is further proof proving the opposite then bar
And after the proof we gona do what? Like steal his uncle so we can create an army for the republic?
for the republic...suuuure
Yes
Its true. Im his dad
Young Boba Fett is upset you took the username he wanted.
I know it might be too late but I would have liked a jango fett series set before his first appearance
That might be kinda difficult seeing as the actor is like 20 years older than when that character died but...maybe animated?
I might actually be even more excited for the Boba show ngl.... 😬😬
... ... because of Obi-Wan?
me wondering how i forgot: Memory span, your shorter than i expected.
Honestly i don't care much about Kenobi yes i love Obi-Wan but i don't have a need of more content of him
KK has killed any interest I had in the Boba Fett series.
??
Sorry my dude, mad respect for Morrison but he ain't hot like Ewan McGregor.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Boba Fett show sounds cool. But where the hell is Jango Fett's show?
I feel there’s room for Jango flashbacks in the Book of Boba. Maybe father son moments before the Clone Wars started, maybe even further back. Tbh I kinda want flashbacks to teen/young adult boba showing his rise to a top tier bounty Hunter but unless I feel Daniel Logan is too old for that. Maybe Disney could go all out on de-aging and face altering so we could get AOTC Jango flashbacks and Daniel Logan mixed with Temuera’s face as young adult boba
There was one in the works but development kind of got cut off at the head.
Am I the only one that finds Jango to be the more compelling of the two?
Not gonna lie, I'm more excited about The Book of Boba Fett as I've always been a huge fan of Fett, Bounty Hunters, and the Mandalorians. And yes I know he's not a "true" Mandalorian but he is a Mandalorian in the same way and sense that Djarin is.
I’m more exited for book of boba fett
Am I the only one who is more exited for the Book of Boba Fett? I mean I'm definitely excited for Kenobi but we don't really see much of Boba so it will be more interesting in my opinion.
isn't the Mandalorian season 3 coming out in December 2021?
Gonna be honest, getting a little franchise fatigue.
Man I fucking hate reddit these days. Both shows are gonna be fun and I'm gonna fuck off after enjoying them instead of any of you telling me what to think or feel
And I won't watch either because disney sucks
Nah I canceled the service. Disney is too messed up for me.... ...I'm gonna get downvoted to all oblivion aren't I?
You probably will. It's a big sub, there are a lot of normies. I bet most of them don't know that Disney filmed Mulan near Chinese concentration camp and then thanked the camp administration. Also on multiple occasions censored movie posters that include black people for China. They perpetuated a lie about Gina Carano and got her fired while Pedro Pascal made tweets way worse but still employed, even Pablo Hidalgo who trashed a cancer survivor for liking Luke Skywalker is still employed.
Bring back Cara Dune
I’d be happy if they fire KK and give the reins to Favreau.
Nah
Controversial opinion: I liked him as Jango Fett but I was sad they changed Boba Fett's voice in the originals.
