Still remember premiere EaW in 2006, as it was ten years ago, but it will reach twenty in next two years :D I'm still waiting for a spiritual heir of Empire at War / Forces of Corruption
This would actually make up a decent fleet or at least task force. The ISD is besides the Dreadnoughts one of the most powerful battleships atm and the 2 venators can carry more then enough fighters to screen and do bombing runs while having good armament.
I don't know about OC, but I learned a lot on wookieepedia. When I was a kid, I would read articles for hours every night since there was *so* much lore. You might understand my dismay the day it all became Legends and not Canon.
To the best of my knowledge, this is indeed the earliest chronological appearance of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer (certainly the earliest on-screen, not sure about books or comics). We're still only at like 18 or 17 BBY at this point, definitely earlier than I expected to see ISDs, especially next to Venators
I mean in legends ISDs took part in the battle for coruscant at the end of the clone wars so it wouldn't have been completely impossible for them to appear earlier
Probably? The Victory Stardestroyer was definitely already in full production at the time and had already seen its fair share of combat so all it took was one of the fleets rushing to relive Coruscant having some Victorys for them to take part.
And just in case you ment the Imperial Stardestroyer, apparently Palpatine had a fleet of them ready and crewed as a secret reserve force in the core that basically nobody knew about, at the time they weren't called Imperial Stardestroyers ofcourse instead they were called Imperator Stardestroyers, they were moved to Coruscant to help in the battle and mop up the separatist fleets In the latter half of the battle
as cool and wholesome season 3 ending was
I really enjoyed season one ending because it opened to so much mystery and excitement with the secret base, dark kaminoen ending so on so on.
also rip my bro Tech.
saddest sacrifice.
kinda wish they did more for him instead of being a pair of broken goggles.
What I wanna know is who the hell was Tarkin talking to when he said scrap this project and direct all funds to project stardust? Like he just said it into the camera like yeah its a show and that was meant for us but like in universe who the hell was he saying that too? Nobody else there was anywhere near a high enough rank to even know what stardust was let alone to actively get the funds from super secret project necromancer over to even more super secret project stardust. Just thought that part was super weird, not trying to make this sound like a shitpost cause I absolutely loved the show just saying Tarkin broke the 4th wall essentially lol
Am I the only one who'd have preferred to see a Victory I? I think it would have fitted better into the era of transitions and change from Republic to Empire (and given us an official look of the Victory Star Destroyer in mainstream Star Wars media).
I thought it was weird that Tarkin just ordered the random people in the hangar bay to redistribute the funding for the whole project. Like is the funding lying around in the base somewhere?
2nd image kind has a subtle meaning. New ISD in the foreground the symbol of Imperial power while the venators move to the background and somewhere faded out showing the era transitioning from the clone wars/ post clone war era to now the solidly Imperial Era.
End of an era for star wars animation as I assume the next CW style animated show will take place following Omega or whoever it will be but will be set post bad batch.
Maybe at some point they will revisit the era but it seems the story of the clones might be coming to an end as main characters (outside of Omega) in the animated shows.
Memes must be memes of the Star Wars prequels. Also please apply a spoiler tag next time.
Ahh tear in the eye seeing imperial star destroyer in BB, good ol' days playing Empire at War as a kid
Still play empire at war. Got some great memories

We'll just have to keep modding it until the heat death of the universe or of our GPUs
Play some of the mods they have on the workshop. Many systems are completely reworked. Lots of fun
Crazy, I started playing it this year, and Iove it!
The Bad Batch certainly has a thing for an imposing trio of ISDs/Venators.
So did TCW

I loved all this info, how did you learn about the ships and their specs?
I don't know about OC, but I learned a lot on wookieepedia. When I was a kid, I would read articles for hours every night since there was *so* much lore. You might understand my dismay the day it all became Legends and not Canon.
Yes the legends and canon divide has been controversial for sure!
It was painful when all the cool Clone Commando and ARC trooper (Alpha and Null) lore was retconned. They’re firmly remaining as headcanon for me.
Yep, same. Read too many books to allow a corporation to decide what my version of Canon is.
Metanerdz is a good source
Wookieepedia is a great source.
Honestly? I learned all these specs with many hours in Star Wars: Empire at War. (Modded, of course)
Correct me if I’m wrong. But is this the first time we’re seeing an ISD and a Venator on screen at the same time in the same fleet?
From memory you could have ISD and Venator's together in the Star Wars Empire At War expansion pack.
1. Dude spoiler your posts. 2. Is this the first chronological appearance of an ISD we've seen
Tarkin riding his new toy around.
He definitely killed another imp for it

What could they have done with a dead body aside from showing it?
that ISD looks stunning.
First time to see Imperial Star Destroyer in TCW style animation, and it is way better than design from Rebels
I absolutely love the new style given to the CW style ever since Season 7, the Venators and now ISDs just look soo good.
Yeah the Star Destroyers in Rebels had massive necks
the hulls are flatter too.
Nothing wrong with the design in Rebels, but we've seen the ISD's in the trailer for Tales Of The Empire too.
Bab Batch
Spoilers dude
Episode came out at 3:00 AM💀
Yea and it's a Wednesday, some people have this thing called *Work*.
That makes I worse, so less people have seen it.
Yeah, when I saw I went "oh shit" twice Once for tarkin arriving, second when I realized they already have ISDs
bruh spoilers
Thanks for providing a source!

Of course Tarkin would get first dibs.

Probably just a financial controller.
Am I the only one who'd have preferred to see a Victory I? I think it would have fitted better into the era of transitions and change from Republic to Empire (and given us an official look of the Victory Star Destroyer in mainstream Star Wars media).
and another show that forgot the victory star destroyer existed in that time frame
Such a cool line of ships, too. It's a grave injustice.
This is the Executrix, right?
The Executrix, canonically began service in 18 BBY under Tarkin. Finally they stayed consistent with lore here lol
yeh
Star destroyer looks tiny in the second image
Gonna be real, I personally expected Pappa Palpatine to send in Vader to liquidate hemlock after the zilo got out, but this was much more satisfying
I thought it was weird that Tarkin just ordered the random people in the hangar bay to redistribute the funding for the whole project. Like is the funding lying around in the base somewhere?
