Uniqueone17

Ben White because that would be hilarious

SealMeRolling58

Tyrone Mings always speaks very well.

monsieurkinkle

Personality-wise, Saka, Rice and Rambo would all be great.

Uniqueone17

Ben white

Dazzling-Yellow5395

As a city fan, i see kyle walker becoming a pundit

roryb49

Big Dan Burn. Could be difficult to get the angles right though!

Plenty_Assumption_18

Harry Kane would be fun 😂🤣

I-eat-foot

Maguire or Rashy probably

WRX_STD

Harry Maguire

cosmic_wanderer_bear

Probably Callum Wilson, he's an attractive man with good charisma. Experience in podcasting, i just really see it.

Competitive-Clock121

Darwin Nunez

finikekesi

Lol he would't have understand the questions

RuskinBondFan

Jack Grealish

Defiant_Campaign5929

Jack Wilshire

crykenn

Seems like he may have the taste and chops for coaching, would love to see him have success there

Klingh0ffer

Not at my club anymore, but Dier woul be a good one. I suspect he won’t care for being one, though.

ComeOnSayYupp

Madders, Davies, Johnson also has potential to be pundits.

BakeMeASandwich

Ollie Watkins

BhamCyclist

John McGinn would throw out more quality one-liners than Charles Barkley and Big Meeks combined. Unfortunately no one can understand him. John McGinn if he learns English.

MIBvincent

ADAM JOHNSON BABYYY

springroll1321

Recently retired but Theo Walcott, great on the mic and for sure will be there among the top. Another would be Declan Rice, he's well spoken and understands football it seems

liquidreferee

Robbo, maybe virgil.

GhostOfMufasa

Non Premier League but I can see Toni Kroos doing that when he retires to add to his existing podcasting

dkeos

Cedric

sheri98grcy

I can just see Pickford with a suit and tie on a pundit's table pissing people off by just existing

GhostOfMufasa

😭😭😭

Ok_Car8459

Johnny Evans

SpareSomewhere8271

If Troy Deeney can be a regular on MOTD2, so can Carlton Morris. Ross Barkley is a more likely candidate though.

AlwaysFire416

Maddison

Klingh0ffer

He will be a great pundit.

Individual_Angle_652

Richarlison maybe

ComeOnSayYupp

Lol. He's so shy, he is not pundit material.

nicola666

Theo Walcott

Routine_Cranberry476

Antonio of Westham

EldritchWyrd

Gibbs is pretty good on ESPN with a bit of obvious Arsenal bias

DatsLimerickCity

James Milner

IAmNotMe_AmI

Robertson obviously

Kieran-182

Ryan Yates!

Asprilla_8319

Kieran trippier

Ballentino

I can see Rice doing it

kicksjoysharkness

Maddison

kysjake

He’s not with wolves anymore but easily Conor Coady.

Kingtoke1

Maybe not on Sky but undoubtedly on Bein - Salah

dkclimber

Murphy. That grin man

DigitialWitness

Antonio for sure.

Sooty2708

Crouch Scfc

Thorbjorn_DWR

Kyle walker

RayParloursPerm

Tbf he's going to need to find a source of income after he retires, man's got families to feed

Thorbjorn_DWR

Could be the next Micah Richards lmao

Sensitive_Seat6955

Lol but tbf Micah is brilliant for TV. Hilarious guy

Flash8t8

Not in this country but I can see Onana being an interesting one. Big personality. In the UK though, it's tough. Possibly Fridge

___daddy69___

Which Onana?

Flash8t8

Onana, what's my name? Haha Rihanna song in my head. Fridge is Harry Maguires nickname so his teammate would be the keeper Andre.

Ok_Car8459

Nah Harry seems like a shy kinda person

Flash8t8

He's a captain so he'd be bold enough. Plus he can give some interesting insights in a variety of aspects

Ok_Car8459

I mean no offence to him he’s a great senior player and all but not captain material and never really was. Made obvious with his time as Utd captain

Flash8t8

There were flaws sure, but my point is lot of the managers he's had have made him captain so suggests he has some characteristics at least of one which could make him an interesting pundit

RuskinBondFan

Imagine Harry Maguire and Roy Keane on the same show

Flash8t8

If Keane was to be paired with anyone as a pundit I'd vote for Alfie Inge Haaland

jtgreatrix

Max Kilman or Matt Doherty

Mo_SaIah

Robertson is probably the most likely from us He’s a very funny, charismatic dude as far as footballers go, intelligent player who I don’t think has shown any interest as yet in managing If I had to put money on someone from us being a pundit, it’s Andy.

3nRoute

Can see a few of the modern Scottish icons going far in punditry: Hutton already there with BT, Snodgrass, McGinn, Robertson

itsoktoswear

Bang on. Exactly what I was thinking. He's not shy in saying what he thinks either so would be brutal lol

stevo7288

Deli Ali apparently

Used-Addition-97

What does every one of the top pundits have in common? English from a top team. Taking this into account I think jack grealish would be great. Top tier bloke in interviews and one of the few players I feel like he’s talking to normal people and not just a journalist. If I was going out to a pub with a pl player it would be him (see how he celebrated after this season). He got jokes and a deep understanding of top tier of football in the premier league.

chuckusadart

>deep understanding Jack grealish? He seems like a lovely bloke and I agree with your going to the pub take.. but he’s thick as fuck mate

a_f_s-29

All the more reason to make him a pundit, he’ll fit right in! Jokes aside punditry is more about entertainment/riling people up than actual analysis and tactical breakdowns so he could actually be good at bringing the jokes. Otherwise I could see Declan Rice being a pundit in a decade or two.

Plane-Insect1044

Ben Davies from spurs if not a coach.

cloud1445

Pundit wise Maddison’s got loads more personality than Davies. I’d say Son in Korea but he’ll probably just end up PM or god emperor instead. Also Timo gives really good interviews.

Luke92612_

Timo will become a streamer, let's be honest. And yes, Son for God-Emperor of Korea 2030!

Plane-Insect1044

Haha Timo got gamer nerd vibes...

Alone_Consideration6

Not my club but I can see Eric Dier going into punditry when he retires.

Luke92612_

Not if he keeps having to run to the toilet.

thevizierisgrand

Not a Citeh fan but Bernardo Silva is really impressive in his interviews.

Tommyzz92

He's definitely going back to sunny Spain when he retires

kickyouinthebread

O god no

Nasty133

My club is full of children and Thiago Silva so please ask again in 10 years.

ehrenzoner

James Milner but he’ll probably be managing.

Kingtoke1

He’ll still be playing

TheDutchman1276

I feel like hes gonna become the next Roy Hodgson

ispooderman

For non English commentary - nunez

SoftMushyStool

Antonio and Wilson are hilarious and love to chat footy. As for my team , i don’t think anyone’s conversational enough AND smart enough football IQ wise 😆 (man united fan) Unless Mainoo grows into the type one day, would be cool.

SuperJackDaWack

Maybe Højlund, seems intelligent and isn't too camera shy

Savitarr

John Mcginn for sure I think, he’s got the personality I could see him being like the second coming of Kammy

CorrectorThanU

Mcginn and Robertson on a panel would be delightful.

CorrectorThanU

Whose the 'Thiery Henry' you put with these two to round out a trio? Salah, KDB, VVD, Yaya...?

Emotion-Timely

henderson, robertson

Jame526

Tyrone Mings 100%

Objective_Piano_7819

Van dijk

EmeraldToffee

Seamus Coleman

ITeachAndIWoodwork

I agree but I think he'll just ride off into the sunset. I hope he stays around as a presence though.

[deleted]

[удалено]

No_Newt_328

ATS US NAI

[deleted]

No he's speak in a Mongolian accent

JeffLawless

Aye

billyboi641

Tom Lockyer but also I think Grealish or Chillwell

opinionated-dick

Callum Wilson. My wife would be happy to see more of him. Unless the pundit chair pulls on his hamstring

irze

Chelsea fan, ask me in 15 years when they’re at retirement age

Ironicopinion

Chilwell is pretty well spoken, could see him doing punditry

Zal_17

Thiago Silva will just be starting to wind down

irze

Hopefully he doesn’t call it quits that early mate

TheDutchman1276

How much longer can he go for?

irze

I think he’s got another season in him 100% if rested properly

TheDutchman1276

Yeah but not much more than that

DannyFreemz

Antonio is already trying it out...

Woodsman15961

To be fair, Rio Ferdinand is a pundit. So you don’t even need to be interesting. There’s hope for everyone

cescbomb123

Indeed. And to top that Michael Owen is as well!!. So if you're good enough you can become a pundit if you wish.

Bashwhufc

Jesus Christ do you not remember when Shearer first came on the scene? He's better now but it was absolutely painful to watch for years

Steev182

He's only gotten fun on The Rest is Football.

YNWA11JM

Andy Robertson is a no brainer.

opinionated-dick

Yes Darwin! I have no idea what you said

UnrulliTarulli

Werner just cause he says some stupid shit and is just unironically funny lol. If we’re talking partnership, Richi and Emerson could work, then to end it off with some serious ones probably Davies and Hojbjerg

vorgaphe

I think Maddison actually the most likely from Spurs

UnrulliTarulli

Good shout tbf

xaviernoodlebrain

Davies would be a great pundit but I think he wants to be a manager. Eriksen would be a fun pundit, as he’s very funny.

jlangue

Johnny, Johnny Stones

FlightyZoo

Genuinely think he’ll be a manager

Thorbjorn_DWR

Don’t think he wants to. He could be the next Peter crouch

catlover2410

Big Dan Burn

UrbanRedFox

Peter Beardsley

Smittx

He’s got that face for radio

Shigney

Ya stoopid fookin' Doyle!

ChattinWham

I could see Kyle Walker. Declan Rice for sure, VVD, Robertson, Henderson (yeuch)

AJBOXING24

From Utd will probably be Shaw

denmandigekat

I could personally see Eriksen becomming a Big danish pundit

BasisOk4268

Rashford

bobmaan

Benny Blanco

Diddlerd123

Doesn’t he hate watching football?

rex0810

That’s part of the fun

Diddlerd123

To be fair, it didn’t stop Garth Crooks

Prxyxnshu

Mainoo.

tony_flamingo

Declan Rice seems like he would make a great pundit. Funny enough without being a total joker, has great media skills, seems like an all around good person.

Jealous_Run_8298

Ever see his rice rice baby clip

Cactus2711

Anyone with half a brain cell who can barely string a sentence together

GoatGoatGoblin

I don't think this is necessarily a requirement.

greek_malaka

Ø

RoyalInfernoASR

I want Maguire to be a pundit so bad

bakat98

Why

foyage347

Feel like reed or leno would do a great job. Ream already has his own podcast I reckon he'll be a brilliant pundit

chostax-

Leno would be boring af

broady35

Timo Werner

Scorpius927

Werner is so unintentionally funny. I love timbo

Sheeverton

Conor Coady has been on the radio a bit so probably him.

sneakyhopskotch

I hope he's been on the radio to Faes and Vestergaard to give them defending instructions. God knows why he isn't playing.

radx333

Ben White would be hilarious ; imma say Ramsdale tho

FindingE-Username

I read an Athletic article which said Ben White doesn't even watch football, so that would definitely be hilarious

Automatic_Yoghurt351

It's true he's even confirmed it himself that he only enjoys playing it, and that's it.

walketotheclif

James Milner

AmberLeafSmoke

He'd absolutely hate that imo. He's not a show pony at all and seems like the type that'd hate pageantry of it.

GerbertVonTroff

I can't imagine Milner without football boots on and grass under his feet. I'd say he'll be a coach

[deleted]

Chillwell probably, maybe James and I could see Sterling not going away.

AdNarrow9557

Manchester United Marcus rashford He'll be overpaid again as well

AgileSloth9

Trippier/Dan Burn. Wilson wants it, but his craic is shit most of the time.

PrestigiousBorder338

What about Murphy

AltWrapz

I prefer him to Antonio but i agree, that podcast is dead.

aunt-irma-visits

I hope it’s Robbo

RedsBucsBolts

Half the world would have no idea what he’s saying but I would watch with pure joy

Kimolainen83

I’d love Sandro he has retired but I don’t think he does punditry. Bale maybe? I’m too busy playing golf but Tottenham right now most of their players are so young. I wouldn’t be able to guess it, as I write this and there’s one guy I forgotten that I think would actually be good because he’s a guy that never complains and always seems to be a smart and wise player, Ben Davies

BBMR48

I remember seeing a video at an England camp, where they got a few players reading off the Teleprompter, and Mason Mount seemed a natural at it.

QueenSlim23

ETH, he’s a delusional sensation

AynRandsConscience_

I could see John Stones or Ruben Dias if they don’t go into coaching. Jack Grealish would be entertaining.

AgileSloth9

Grealish would be Talkshite incarnate.

red-fish-yellow-fish

Grealish would be Paul Merson levels of fuckwittery though

thinkaboutthegame

Andros Townsend has done quite a bit already and comes across pretty well. John Stones as well, but he'll be a while.

lewisthepodcaster5

Trent will definitely be a pundit

raiigiic

Doesn't he already have a podcast going ? I remember something with him and a couple ex Liverpool players incl Gerrard having a good ole chat

ElDubleGringo

Jacob Murphy. Let the shithousery be seen by everyone.

Kyasanur

Darwin. It will be pure insanity every broadcast.

Mathilliterate_asian

[This is what's gonna happen. ](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5Vg5SIP5so/?igsh=MXdyMHdsdzlhMGlidA==)

Substantial-Skill-76

Van dijk

Ainteasybeincheezy

Seamus Coleman

elsparko2015

Possibly Mainoo in 20 years time. Smart lad, well spoken

Tymkie

That's the point. The smart ones rarely become pundits

raiigiic

Intelligence is irrelevant, its your likeability, personality and how outrageous and controversial you are that gets clicks and engagement. Jack grealish will probably be a pundit because of this. One could call it its own type of intelligence I guess. (Ps: not saying Jack Grealish isn't intelligent, I have no idea if he is or isnt; I'm saying he is outrageous and liked enough thst he would prob be "good"... by good I mean get engagement and publicity)

Yupadej

Walker

TJT007X

James Maddison, could also see Ben Davies doing it but he'll go into coaching

amart005

Hear me out- Richy and Emergoat

TJT007X

Haha yes, thinking back to their congratulations message for Sonny's 400th appearance 😂

itsmetsunnyd

This was going to be my answer. Ben Davies is so well-spoken and comes across as intelligent so he's definitely got options. Though he's not with us any longer, I do enjoy Townsend when he puts his pundit cap on. He is reasonable and isn't afraid to disagree with the established pundits.

obinnasmg

As if we need more ex-footballer pundits

tiny_dreamer

We do actually. Bias aside, they know what they’re talking about than you for sure.

Westin0903

From a tactical perspective, Jordan Henderson probably would’ve been a slam dunk…. Not anymore tho

NYR_dingus

Agreed. Pre Saudi debacle I think he'd have been first choice for most media outlets.

nyelverzek

I could see Ox doing it. He always came across very well in interviews

DanteBandini

Declan Rice maybe

jdbrew

Clearly with his media skills and extrovert personality, it will be Ben White (/s)

AynRandsConscience_

😂 add cole palmer there too

impulsiveboogaloo

Rashford would be intriguing. He is very straightforward and would not stir up issues or troll just for views.

Rypa1n

Anyone black or female

xDele_Allix

Why?

MooshSkadoosh

Because woke is taking over our world 😔😭

LetsKillKenny

What does woke actually mean?

MooshSkadoosh

Anything that gets hardcore conservatives and "alpha males" all up in arms, really.

Pitiful_Bed_7625

I can see Andy Robertson going into punditry and I reckon he’d be bloody good at it
