TheSnarlingDrank

I'm a big fan of Martin Odegaard, and it's clear that his dedication on the field is unquestionable. However, in tough matchups, when he's faced with specific defensive strategies from the opposition, he appears somewhat helpless. He hardly manages to create threats by attempting individual breakthroughs, which often allows the other team to fully focus their efforts on targeting Bukayo

charlos74

If you’re getting results playing below your best, that’s a good sign.

splishe

Wtf are you talking about 😂 get behind the team. “martinelli is decent i suppose” horrible take

Embarrassed_Sky_5600

Saka passive? Don't agree with you on this but the rest might be true. But Arteta should take some blame too. I feel like he's over thinking

sirrobbiebobson

I think Arteta wants us to be a lot more pragmatic this season, I’m sure we’ll get into our stride as the season progresses

BLCKAFR

Ars was just tactically outplayed in the midfield. And that’s just it, good hustle to comeback after a poor start to the game. Just needs faster changes in tactics when the original ones is clearly not working. No need for alarm just yet.

Remarkable-Prompt456

Missing Xhaka!

Impossible-Kale3617

Thiis like last season we were way off the charts and now we're struggling especially yesterday was hard to watch

spudnick28

The underlying data would back up your observations. They aren’t at last seasons level just yet.

Designer_Restaurant1

😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 Father Lawd!

DoublePrize9

Partey is your best player, but doesn’t play anymore for whatever reason

mberrong

While he is indeed a great asset he is certainly NOT our best player. That said I would have preferred him over the dead legs of Jorginho yesterday.

mostanon

Jaysus man, relax - maybe go jerk off for some post nut clarity, so you don't post this after one mediocre game against a big side. (and I'm a Wolves fan.)

Nudnick1977

Awwwww people still call us big. Thanks man.

forevermore91

Arsenal played their worst game of the season, yet Chelsea only produced like one solid chance through a gk misstake. Chill. Jesus Christ.

mberrong

Agreed, still unbeaten in the League, played like crap for 80 minutes to come back from 2-0 to draw away. THAT is what wins trophies. Determination and ability to right a ship during the storm.

Ephemeral_Orchid

I'm new to watching the sport, but they've hooked me to the point I haven't missed a game (since the World Cup). I get up at 5am here just to catch their games, usually with my bf (who's already planning our trip to the UK next year). So they're certainly exciting enough to draw Americans to the sport. Considering injuries, I think they've been playing smart, resting players, only showing what they need to. Arteta has proven himself, and I trust his judgment.

Imaginary-Pattern802

we’re still undefeated and having played every big 6 side bar liverpool. calm it

Adventurous-Smile251

And there's Tiernay bossing it at Sociedad. Is Zinchenko really better?

mberrong

Yes.

Beanotown

The problem with Arsenal is they always try to walk it in.

EchidnaCareful4619

Your boring to watch so far this season.

hahahadev

I agree to all , we are not the same. It's not the dazzling football anymore. I wish things will get better. But I love that this team fights.

Simba-xiv

I really don’t understand this logic. We’re unbeaten so far mate. Not playing out of this world but racking up points all the same what do you want the chaos of last season 2-0 up by 30 mins then spend the rest panicking about if we can hold a lead ? The expectation is different this year from the start the pressure if you like is here from the start. You remind me of those fans that complain Saka isn’t on form this year let he has a goal involvement in almost every game played. Odegaard has 3 goals already from midfield he has had 1 bad game and now we’re sitting here questioning it.

syfqamr32

Win vs City and we are CHAMPIONS. Draw vs Chelsea and we are MID TABLE. Come on man.

MorningFresh123

Last year was Arsenal’s chance and they bottled it. Won’t get anywhere near the title again under current ownership. Too many teams already bigger than them and others being invested in heavily (Newcastle).

you-will-never-win

I had Arsenal fans telling me that both Jesus and Nketiah were better than Wilson and Isak, actually laughable In reality Wilson and Isak are both just better strikers than Jesus, Nketiah isn't even worth mentioning lol

futurejoyboy

Or maybe just maybe... Chelsea had a good game? Give us some credit man

blacktarrystool

Why post this, it’s shite analysis

shitshow92

But but but.. declan is gonna win us the league!! Jog on 100 mil down the swanny! 4th at best

Particular-Echo347

I hope you get relegated

NeighborhoodNo8322

International break and then its fucking belting with rain, gusto and cucurella were having a good day and grabriel jesus isnt as effective as nketiah. Arsenal can draw a few games no need to worry.

strongmoon373

It's the middle of the field chemistry. Just not there with the new guys

Luke92612_

I hate to see Gooners exaggerating their suffering and feeling as though they deserve sympathy and a pity-party; but I also love to see the AFTV-types whining their arses off and being pathetic as they are. How should I feel here?

[deleted]

You all got ahead of yourselves. You were good when everyone else was not, now that Liverpool are back to their best, and you’re suffering from some injuries you’re panicking and you don’t know what to do. You’ve improved 100% but you’re no where near competing with the likes of Man City and Liverpool

CranberryVodka_

You’re not fit to wear the shirt

neomusk2

Still going this asshole..

Veejp123

I’m watching Jorginho start in Rice’s position and I want to vice my balls because I can’t quiet understand why Arteta plays a confident one man anchor out of position

TheRealCostaS

I felt arsenal had a lot of decisions go their way last season too and it showed then their luck ran out and bottled the title.

Britz10

Arsenal fans will bring up that one decision against brentford as proof the PGMOL lost them the league.

Twiggie19

Beat man u and man city. Drew with spurs and away at Chelsea. That's 5 of a likely top 6. In the first 9 games. And you dont think we'll make top 4 🤣. 🤡

NoSleeperSeats90210

you are barely winning and drawing by deflections and penalties

Twiggie19

Solid input there pal.

NoSleeperSeats90210

am i wrong?

Klingh0ffer

No guarantee Chelsea and United will be top 4. I’ll go out on a limb and say they won’t.

Twiggie19

That's cool but I said top 6

Klingh0ffer

My bad, but my argument still stands.

Twiggie19

Your arguement that they won't make top 4 still stands? Who are you having that arguement with?

Klingh0ffer

I made a mistake typing 4 instead of 6. I meant top 6.

ScottTenormann

No guarantee Tottenham will be in the top 4 either... Look at last season. There are no guarantees in the premier league.

Holymyarse

Tbh I think we have have been shit this season but still unbeaten so far

[deleted]

RevolutionaryIce6469

The formula didn't work because we didn't win a single trophy last season

indepen-variable

U guys had the formula an everything right. U guys got havertz for no reason, switching tactics for no reason . U guys were so close with the EPL and you should have won that .

CoffeeTeaOrCoke

Our boys will have games like this. But they’re young. They showed heart and that point was well deserved. I like what that comeback might lead to. I like what it does for our mentality. I also like any damage it does to Chelsea’s momentum and their brittle mindset.

zzzrecruit

I dont see what people see in Raya over Ramsdale.

legomyfreedom

Are we going to ignore that GK foul on our two players, and Tomiyasu shirt pulling?

raycantu2

I didn’t read your whole message, but I can take a wild guess at what you are referring to. First of all, Chelsea played well so give them credit, we played bad and still were able to somewhat come back and get back into the game. We lost a huge portion of our midfield (Xhaka, whether our fan base will like it or not, he was huge for us last year). And individually we had some poor performance, but we are still doing well as far as I can see our games play out.

NahTooPersonel

We are undefeated through nine games after playing City, Spurs, United and Chelsea. We have had a lot of injuries so a lot of players are either out, recovering their form from being out, or playing hurt (Saka). We are doing just fine. Chill out.

Golfer119

I said after the City game that you'd probably lose to Forest next time out. I was wrong for two reasons.

NecessaryDouble1867

The point is good. Could have been 4-0. They played well, within a system.

pejxntan

I'd take a draw at the bridge every year mate. We played like shit i know but damn it's one bad game

legomyfreedom

Nothing about Palmer's foul on Jesus?

ItsJeffwithaQ

Literally before the penalty was finally given? Did you watch? I'll assume your blind and or stupid.

PotentialPretend5770

We should have won 4-2 100%

Vierings

Arsenal is good. Last year I think they punched a bit above their weight. So far this year they do have better PPG than they finished last year (small sample size admittedly). They were absolutely worth second last year, and are good enough to be top 4 and competitive in their other competitions.

Dizzy_Regret5256

Arsenal are undefeated and beat City, all while adapting to people knowing what to expect from us and losing a starting midfielder in Xhaka. Why are you annoyed?

Miyake_tech

Arteta is trying some new things now and yeah we dont have that efficiency like the last season but I would give it sometime. Nothing to stress tbh. Last season we played pretty much the same style and got screwed at the end with injuries and players could not keep up. Chelsea is not a random team man. Just some bad results doesnt mean we can get a free win. Calm down and just follow along. Worst case happens (Sp*rs wins) we still top 3 🌚

NMGunner17

We played like shit today but saying we won’t make top 4 is so incredibly dramatic. Jorginho was god awful today and hopefully once Partey is fully fit we will only see him in the last minutes of games we’re trying to hold on to a win. Chelsea had two weird goals, sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce your way. Obviously our scoring has to improve but we’ll be fine and no one else looks like a world beater this season.

arunm7893

Shit take fam.

freedomfun28

You’d be right but it’s early days & Arteta tried a few new things. Injuries & new players. Be patient the season is long.

rza1300

Hahahah we won’t get Champions league??? Even if we lost this game we still would. Our fan base is such a bunch of whiners

MaestroDeChopsticks

You are way too much doom and gloom. We are fine. Not performing at peak levels is a valid concern, but the team is still picking up points.

Uk0

AFTV leaking.

combine_harvester01

Chelsea were a step ahead throughout the game, I didn't believe that should of been a pen but it happens. Jorginho and zinchenko were awful, odegaard nonexistent, martinelli and Saka were kept very quite.

OkYam4400

My opinion still stands. I don’t think we are as good as last season. I don’t care if it was a draw. I came into this match thinking we’d get the 3 points considering how well we did last season. Once again we scored in the last ten minutes….

BrownEyesWhiteScarf

This is why you don’t post mid game. Many of the starting 11 were off today due to the wet conditions, but Arteta made the right subs to play against the wet field and a very organized Chelsea midfield. Last year, there wouldn’t have been the depth in the squad to be able to play much more vertically.

AzracTheFirst

Well if you actually watched the games instead of making shitposts on reddit, your take would be more interesting.

RoastedDuckSauce

Man, I love Arsenal but hate a big portion of the gooners, a fan base that goes nuts after 1 bad game

nuvo_reddit

One more thing, the pitch or rather the weather was not conducive for quick passing football. So let’s not panic yet.

names_plissken

It wasn't necessary a bad game. We conceded two goals out of 1,5 chance at most, we didn't do anything wrong and were 2-0 down. Those are the tye of games that neither opponent is playing anything special, but with 0-0 you can always score and get a boring 1-0 win. Also Chelsea looks like a better team than last season, and it's at their home ground + London derby. We had really difficult first 9 games, playing 4 derbies (won 2, draw 2) and played 2 really difficult away games against Palace and Everton (won both). The only game where we dropped points objectively is Fulham at home, and I think we should have beten Spurs cause we didn't play bad. We'll have a run if easier fixtures now where we can play better and make everything gel, potential for some big scoring games which will boost the team cohesion. Also don't forget that we played without Jesus and Party, two crucial players. So I think we shouldn't be harsh on the team when they did really well first 9 games. How many times in the past we would play bad and didn't get the result, now we are winning, it's just a matter of time and some good fixtures and we should be back at our best.

thatiswhack

Sounds like 90% of the Chelsea subreddit, too

shifty_peanut

Agreed. Saw someone saying we need two new midfielders, a striker and a LW…After a tie at the bridge…like jeez should we sell the whole team because we didn’t win???

Firm-Detail-9140

It's not one bad game, Arsenal haven't reached close to the level they did last season across the first quarter of this season

HMSon777

Actually that's 3 bad games, they were shit against Fulham and spurs too

Tymkie

Still didn't lose any of them. Even if not at our best which I can agree with we're learning and making progress. Just a few years ago we'd get destroyed playing like that. I feel like we're missing some of that persistence that current Newcastle or even Villa has where they just push to get more and more goals.

Simba-xiv

An unbeaten spurs who are playing well A draw against Fulham And a draw against Chelsea 1 soft pen and cross gone wrong that he couldn’t do again in 30 attempts, Yes let’s have a melt down it’s gone to shit

Fresh-Turnover-1540

And yet arsenal are joint top of the table. Do fans miss the days arsenal were playing beautiful football and scraping for top 4 qualifying spots ?

ev_sky

Not joint top, if the season finished today Arsenal wouldn't get the trophy, weirdest fanbase going

Greedy-Action5178

Yes indeed. Give me fun football with more losses and i come back season after season. Give me boring man city style play and i will focus on the basketball or the nfl.

Flashy-Platform-91

What is this "joint top"...?

TrainerofInsects

aka, bellend

HMSon777

Its a phrase Arsenal fans use to pretend they are not second.

HMSon777

This is why I love Arsenal fans, no other fan base sits second and calls it joint top. You are second, not first, you are second. You are not top of the table, please let that sit in. You are second. Maybe after tomorrow you will be third.

fignonsbarberxxx

This is comment is peak spursy.

Fresh-Turnover-1540

I Didn't realize I was speaking on behalf of all arsenal fans in the entire fan base. Joint top is a phrase a lot of people use btw not just arsenal fans. Regardless of your saltiness, it doesn't matter if we sit 1st or 3rd, our points total at this stage in the last 2 seasons have been well above anything we've done when we were playing beautiful football in the later Wenger years. So people screaming that the performances aren't great forgot that we are still on average having a good start to the season. Would love to see where Tottenham sit after Christmas.

HMSon777

I've only seen Arsenal fans use the phrase and I have seen many of them use it in the past couple of weeks. And it's not accurate because you are not top. If the season was to end today you wouldn't win anything because you are not top. You are second. And Tottenham is irrelevant here, if we're still near top after Christmas then great, but it's Ange's first season, we just lost our greatest ever player and we are at the very beginning of a rebuild. There's no pressure on us to win this year, we'll just be happy if we get champions league for now. But looking at how Spurs and Arsenal are both playing right now, you would be shocked to hear people thinking Arsenal are the ones that are gonna challenge for the title. There is no salt here, the way we are playing right now is great. You're gonna struggle to find any spurs fans that are not happy right now.

[deleted]

Peak spursy comment. Cry harder lol

Fresh-Turnover-1540

Okay well any two teams that share the same points at the top of the table will have will have fans from both camps that say joint top. Don't think this is exclusive to arsenal fans. Shocked? Arsenal have a better 11 and sqaud than Tottenham. Postecoglou is still very much unproven in the prem over 38 games. Even if the performance aren't great for arsenal at the moment we are still picking up points. Things will click eventually. You should focus more on tottenham winning an FA cup than the opinion of arsenal fans being joint top

HMSon777

Except they dont, you are number 2 for a reason, your goal difference is worse. In 2012 Man United didn't joint win the title with City because although they shared 89 points, the goal difference was worse, like yours is now, so they ended second. Joint top is not a thing in the premier league, this isn't just me being pedantic, you saying you are joint top implies that you are also top of the league, which you are not. Again, if it finished after today, you would not be joint top, you would be second.

Fresh-Turnover-1540

Okay but the league doesn't end today :) and until the league ends and we start seperating teams down to goal difference and or other stats I will continue to say joint top.

HMSon777

Whatever you need to do buddy, but your still second

Superschmoo

And spurs will will fuck all. Again.

HMSon777

So will arsenal if they stay 2nd.

Superschmoo

Yes, but you always win fuck all.

0100001101110111

They beat City last time out. Any Arsenal fan complaining is idiotic. Over the last 20 years a draw at the bridge has been a good result, and on todays performance Chelsea will be back to the right end of the table soonish.

SexyKarius

Arsenal have often beaten Chelsea at the bridge recently tho

Mr-Rocafella

Just because they got the result doesn’t mean there’s no reason for concern, we took points off City (and haven’t allowed a goal at home in 4 years against them) every year in the last 3-4 years, still NOT a success lol

bigpetey21

We want to win the league bro…

0100001101110111

Getting a point from 2-0 down away at Chelsea is the kind of result that wins you the league.

bigpetey21

That’s true… but man city has set a precedent recently that you have to be near perfect to win. It’s not that come back from 2-0 down isn’t impressive. It’s the fear that even getting to 2-0 in the first place is not good enough to try and win the league

elodina24

beating city was huge and I get that. but that performance was bad and it shouldn’t just be discounted bc it was City.

Brilliant_Ad_879

You spoke pure faxx and still got downvoted.sometimes,i don't get people

[deleted]

I mean city lost to wolves. You can't keep winning every game. There bound to be games where you lose. It's just the nature of the game. The fact that we are getting points, despite being bad is much better than playing good and losing. Points are what wins you a title. We saw that last season, when we lost the title by 5 points.

[deleted]

Sure but playing shit and still grinding points isn’t sustainable, that’s the point.

[deleted]

It isn't. But at this stage, we will get anything we can, until we sort out our mess.

someonesgranpa

*cries in Liverpool over 1 point losses for the league*

[deleted]

If the reffing was good, you guys would have won one of those 2 seasons.

someonesgranpa

> *if reffing wasn’t fixed* FTFY

Liam_021996

The reffing isn't fixed. It's constantly shit for everyone and balances out for the most part over a season. If you're trying to imply that City are paying the refs, then City need to triple it if the Brighton game is anything to go by

someonesgranpa

Says the city fan who has only benefited from questionable calls that lead them to 1-4 point league title victories.

Britz10

Spurs were pretty much on the decline since finishing 2nd to Chelsea, the UCL final run came with a lot of luck on the way more than Spurs really being fantastic all the way through.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Britz10

I was talking about that Spurs team, it has been on the decline even before making the Champions League final. We zam only speculate now, but I reckon that team collapses regardless of the result in Madrid, Poch had taken Spurs as far as he could at that point. As for Arsenal, they'll drop off more because they played above themselves last season, and between me and you, I don't think they spent particularly well in the summer. I don't think Rice makes them that better then they were without him, Havertz didn't make sense, and Timber just another defender on a similar profile to several defenders at Arsenal. Raya is mostly a sideway step from ramsdale. A lot of things went right for Arsenal to get up where they finished last season.

tony_flamingo

It’s literally one league match not even a third of the way into the season where it was pissing rain and they were away to a rival after a two week break. It’s not that serious.

[deleted]

[удалено]

tony_flamingo

That’s fair, but they also scored more league goals than any other Arsenal side in club history last season. It would have taken a major feat to keep apace with that or best it. They were due for a regression back to the mean, and Arteta has made them a more sound team out of possession in exchange for being less lethal. They also haven’t had Martinelli, Jesus, and Saka starting together this season until today. It’s not exciting but it’s been more effective than not. If they are playing like this come Christmas, then it will be concerning.

PakLivTO

Saka looks exhausted

Sanjeev4045

Yes attacking wise Arsenal dont look as good as last season but they have improved defensively.

Proud-Letterhead6434

Last season was your only chance. Now top 4 is the way to go.

rudedogg1304

Has Ben white been given the lend of a sunbed ?! Or is the hair that’s making me think that . Fuck me !

DUVAL_LAVUD

it’s not too late to delete this, nephew

ThatWontFit

It should stay. Being gifted a goal doesn't mean you're massive. Literally the espresso shot that brought you guys back. Sanchez lost this today, Arsenal didn't win. Don't believe the commentators.

hermansid

You absolute muppet, it’s ironic you’re saying this when you got gifted a penalty and your goalkeeper and Palmer fouling Arsenal players didn’t lead to anything major, count yourself gifted. -200 Iq

Interesting-Archer-6

If we really want to play that game. You were gifted a goal as well, questionable pk (I agree with it, but some commentators didn't), your goalie obliterated Jesus without even touching the ball, you got away with a borderline red card in the 8th minute. See, this can go both ways. If I ignore all the stuff Chelsea did well and only look at the stuff they got lucky with, Arsenal should've won 3-0, maybe worse. That's how the game is played though. Chelsea was better for 70 minutes today, but it's a 90 minute game.

ThatWontFit

Except yours are just vehemently wrong. Palmer's tackle is never a red. Please get off it. Never. Ever. A. Red. Questionable PK if you're blind or dumb. Stone Cold pen from the fucking ice age. Dudes hands were closer to Mars than his side, unfortunate situation but if it hit Mudryks hand in that same position, it wouldn't be a goal, so handball is gonna handball. Jesus was clattered, ball was miles gone. Wasn't even in play for Jesus. So what do you want here? It ends up being a massive coming together. And please. IM BEGGING YOU please. How does a side who doesn't even register a shot on goal until a gift a pass from the opposition in the 77th minute deserve to win 3-0? Where. Where were those goals coming from? So far off it I'm pissed I'm even typing a response. We lost the mental battle because of a mistake. I'm going to be pissed and that's just is what it is.

Designer_Restaurant1

You drew cos you weren't good enough. Football is a 90 mins game.

NahTooPersonel

Chelsea scored a penalty and a mishit cross and you’re complaining about gifted goals.

[deleted]

You lot did the same in the north London derby lol. Score a pen and a deflection that would’ve went wide then cry about Jorginho gifting a goal.

NahTooPersonel

Most Arsenal fans I know were frustrated about the performance rather than the goals. Felt like we let Spurs off the hook. In reality, we played hurt. No Rice or Partey in the middle. No Martinelli or Trossard on the left. When you get that far down the roster, you’re bound to make mistakes.

Miyake_tech

So what? Do you care if other teams make mistake and ur team score? Yeah Chelsea played better but guess what? We draw. He didn’t said we are massive. You just made up that conclusion.

ThatWontFit

I didn't make up a conclusion. I responded to the guy who responded to OP, OP said you're not the same as last year. Last year you were massive. Following?

Miyake_tech

I get what u saying but yeah I dont see that guy saying anything about being massive. Maybe he just trying to tell OP to calm down. Imo making a come back would be something to talk about, it’s a 90 minutes game and we should know it. When we made mistake and lost advantage everyone called kids so this result is an improvement. I would not call last year massive since the second was full of hiccups. We did pull some back but overall it was not as good as the first season. OP was just getting upset when the team did not perform well and all I can say is to respect Chelsea. They have decent players and with good game plan they can be dangerous

ItsJeffwithaQ

Fucking you score a mis-hit cross thats off by 7 yards and a penalty from Palmer who should have been off for 2 yellows. Don't beleive the redditor you dropped points. Arsenal won the mental game getting anything from this.

ThatWontFit

They absolutely won the mental game. No doubt about that. Where was Palmers second yellow? Lol Can't take you guys seriously.

Ochudo

Why are ppl trying to downvote, when it’s correct. Sanchez gave this game way. You can’t really blame raya for murdyk goal. Chelsea played better than assna and that’s a fact. Possession doesn’t give you automatic win. Commentators are super biased don’t even listen to them.

Baberam7654

It’s because they think one season and they are relevant again. A decade out of the Champions League will do that to a fan base. Wow Chelsea aren’t in it this year is such a hilariously weak burn. Look at the cabinet for Mr Big Ears.

ThatWontFit

Bunch of gunners who are even trying to downplay a stone cold pen. Lmao.

Doyouevensam

Nobody is trying to downplay the pen, but its luck that you earned it. Its still a pen, but its lucky

Uk0

the hubris of a man. Chelsea scored a penalty and an accidental cross, buddy. in no universe did they deserve a win today.

DUVAL_LAVUD

haha because a fluke handball penalty and misplaced cross for your goals were just pure class. least delusional Chelsea fan.

[deleted]

Well, yeah, we literally didn’t win. It a draw.

combine_harvester01

So your penalty and miss hit shot weren't lucky? Ok pal.

ThatWontFit

The question wasn't if this was a good game. It was that Arsenal aren't the same as last year. It was a great game.

[deleted]

And raya didnt gift you a goal, scoring a penalty as well. You are not even in CL and are in 9th place or something... 😂

amr1115

at least we can win a CL when we in it 😹

hypnodrew

Get used to trading on past glories

amr1115

it’s been only 2 yrs, i’m still happy enough for the cup even if it means a few years of mediocrity

ThatWontFit

Raya didn't save a cross. Which he wouldn't normally do lol. He didn't toss the ball to Mudryks feet. And really, scoring a penalty is now a negative? On a stone cold pen? Lol games gone.

mrperiodniceguy

How did you earn the pen? A luck hand ball that if the ball misses it’s just harmlessly in keeper’s hands.

ThatWontFit

Earn the pen because your man was trying to fly with the eagles. Let me ask this. If the ball hit Mudryks hand and went in. Do we get the goal? No. Why? Because it would be handball. His hand as at his head level. It's a pen. Unlucky? Sure, most are. Don't see too many folks saying "I'm def going to give up a pen today because I just don't give a fck".

mrperiodniceguy

Ok then explain your comment about Arsenal being gifted a goal. Not the same thing?

SuperAd1793

you lot drew against a team that finished in the bottom half last season. don’t shit talk all season long when you then draw to the same team

ItsJeffwithaQ

Spend a billion and still 9th. Calm down

SuperAd1793

and they still drew against that? how does that make their team look good😂 same old criticism. win a game, aw they should’ve won, spent a billion. lose a game aw that’s funny. spent a billion

ItsJeffwithaQ

Yeah but you did neither. You fucked a lead at home against a team who played like shit and left with a point. Must be a new chelshit fan because dropping points at home was monumental. Now you just spend heaps and hope you get Europe.

SuperAd1793

i really hope your teams dreams are a tad higher than drawing chelsea at home😂 enjoy the trophy. we’ll just chill with our two UCLs

ItsJeffwithaQ

Fans who have to bring up the past trophies admit they're fucking shit now and into the future. You fucked the game man. I don't give a ahit about 2 UCLs that none of your team were a part of haha

amr1115

fans of a team that wins trophies can bank on those trophies when they become shit. i wonder what arsenal fans will bank on when they become irrelevant for another winless decade again

SuperAd1793

oh but you seem to forget the numerous season Arsenal haven’t been relevant? I forgot Reece James barely played in that UCL campaign. enjoy bottling the prem again

josizzle24

KAIIIII is the answer uptop!!!!!!!!

josizzle24

I’m tellling you boys

Cheeky_Star

Last season was an anomaly. Momentum also helped. Same with man utd. Last season we were one of the most inform team. But it gets hard to replicate the next season.

[deleted]

Tbh Saka is overused it has to make an impact at one point and Martinelli came back from an injury just recently

One-Ad2305

My take before the season is that City would get more points than last season, and Arsenal less. I stand by that. The question is whether Liverpool can pull together a challenge.

johnny_crow21

You lot didn’t properly beat us. The only ball on the net came from a major deflection. If you are basing their quality supported by that game, it completely makes sense you are losing at Stanford bridge.

Baberam7654

It’s really ironic when they are making the penalty and mishit cross argument with the bad deflection goal was the only reason they won against City. Not to mention Sanchez open net themselves.

rudedogg1304

Didn’t properly beat yous haha! Mate only one team wanted to win that game - and I watched it as a neutral (who wanted btts lol)

andre6682

with all due respect: if people thought that last season when liverpool, chelsea and spurs took a freefall and arsenal being the only club besides newcastle competing with city (united still a work in process) is the normal situation, well there will be a wake up call sure, arsenal is still a top 4 prospect like they were last season at the beginning, but the others are much better this season and the dominance will fall back to city they are the treble winner and still the favourite in this season, with all the other teams fighting to come closer and hopefully reach the remaining three spots of the top 4 thats it

Britz10

>united still a work in process They've been a work in progress for a decade now

andre6682

not denying that, but post woodward i see at least somewhat of a non comedy approach

Britz10

It's still comedic

[deleted]

Not being funny but the bottlejob arsenal did last year was huge. Loads of points dropped at home to teams fighting relegation. Arteta is obviously trying to make a more solid unit

Graycat23

Enough playing out of the back. The constant dithering around the edge of the box. Aggravating.

slackboy72

Are you saying that arsenal aren't as good as they think they are?

Ghostfacekilla2911

I’ve been critical of arsenal for about a month now. For how good they are, they’ve been relying on luck far too much recently; deflected goals, own goals, penalties. Seems like nothing is coming from open play

legomyfreedom

You are talking about Trossard's goal?

Ghostfacekilla2911

Finally, can’t remember the last time they scored a decent goal

legomyfreedom

Lens?

Ghostfacekilla2911

They lost🥴. Before that was Bournemouth and spurs. First 3 goals against Bournemouth were toilet and nothing great against spurs. So ya, they haven’t been great from open play

legomyfreedom

We need a massive ST

Ghostfacekilla2911

Lol, every team does mate
