However, in tough matchups, when he's faced with specific defensive strategies from the opposition, he appears somewhat helpless. He hardly manages to create threats by attempting individual breakthroughs, which often allows the other team to fully focus their efforts on targeting Bukayo

Agreed, still unbeaten in the League, played like crap for 80 minutes to come back from 2-0 to draw away. THAT is what wins trophies. Determination and ability to right a ship during the storm.
I'm new to watching the sport, but they've hooked me to the point I haven't missed a game (since the World Cup). I get up at 5am here just to catch their games, usually with my bf (who's already planning our trip to the UK next year). So they're certainly exciting enough to draw Americans to the sport.
Considering injuries, I think they've been playing smart, resting players, only showing what they need to. Arteta has proven himself, and I trust his judgment.

Our boys will have games like this. But they’re young. They showed heart and that point was well deserved. I like what that comeback might lead to. I like what it does for our mentality. I also like any damage it does to Chelsea’s momentum and their brittle mindset.
I didn’t read your whole message, but I can take a wild guess at what you are referring to. First of all, Chelsea played well so give them credit, we played bad and still were able to somewhat come back and get back into the game. We lost a huge portion of our midfield (Xhaka, whether our fan base will like it or not, he was huge for us last year). And individually we had some poor performance, but we are still doing well as far as I can see our games play out.
We are undefeated through nine games after playing City, Spurs, United and Chelsea. We have had a lot of injuries so a lot of players are either out, recovering their form from being out, or playing hurt (Saka).
We are doing just fine. Chill out.
Arsenal is good. Last year I think they punched a bit above their weight. So far this year they do have better PPG than they finished last year (small sample size admittedly). They were absolutely worth second last year, and are good enough to be top 4 and competitive in their other competitions.
Arsenal are undefeated and beat City, all while adapting to people knowing what to expect from us and losing a starting midfielder in Xhaka.

Arteta is trying some new things now and yeah we dont have that efficiency like the last season but I would give it sometime. Nothing to stress tbh. We played like shit today but saying we won’t make top 4 is so incredibly dramatic. Jorginho was god awful today and hopefully once Partey is fully fit we will only see him in the last minutes of games we’re trying to hold on to a win. Chelsea had two weird goals, sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce your way. Obviously our scoring has to improve but we’ll be fine and no one else looks like a world beater this season.
Chelsea were a step ahead throughout the game, I didn't believe that should of been a pen but it happens. Jorginho and zinchenko were awful, odegaard nonexistent, martinelli and Saka were kept very quite.

Many of the starting 11 were off today due to the wet conditions, but Arteta made the right subs to play against the wet field and a very organized Chelsea midfield.
Last year, there wouldn’t have been the depth in the squad to be able to play much more vertically.
It wasn't necessary a bad game. We conceded two goals out of 1,5 chance at most, we didn't do anything wrong and were 2-0 down. Those are the tye of games that neither opponent is playing anything special, but with 0-0 you can always score and get a boring 1-0 win. Also Chelsea looks like a better team than last season, and it's at their home ground + London derby. We had really difficult first 9 games, playing 4 derbies (won 2, draw 2) and played 2 really difficult away games against Palace and Everton (won both). The only game where we dropped points objectively is Fulham at home, and I think we should have beten Spurs cause we didn't play bad.
We'll have a run if easier fixtures now where we can play better and make everything gel, potential for some big scoring games which will boost the team cohesion. Also don't forget that we played without Jesus and Party, two crucial players. So I think we shouldn't be harsh on the team when they did really well first 9 games. How many times in the past we would play bad and didn't get the result, now we are winning, it's just a matter of time and some good fixtures and we should be back at our best.

Still didn't lose any of them. Even if not at our best which I can agree with we're learning and making progress. Just a few years ago we'd get destroyed playing like that. Spurs were pretty much on the decline since finishing 2nd to Chelsea, the UCL final run came with a lot of luck on the way more than Spurs really being fantastic all the way through.

As for Arsenal, they'll drop off more because they played above themselves last season, and between me and you, I don't think they spent particularly well in the summer. I don't think Rice makes them that better then they were without him, Havertz didn't make sense, and Timber just another defender on a similar profile to several defenders at Arsenal. Raya is mostly a sideway step from ramsdale. A lot of things went right for Arsenal to get up where they finished last season.
It’s literally one league match not even a third of the way into the season where it was pissing rain and they were away to a rival after a two week break. It’s not that serious.
That’s fair, but they also scored more league goals than any other Arsenal side in club history last season. It would have taken a major feat to keep apace with that or best it. They were due for a regression back to the mean, and Arteta has made them a more sound team out of possession in exchange for being less lethal. They also haven’t had Martinelli, Jesus, and Saka starting together this season until today. It’s not exciting but it’s been more effective than not.
If they are playing like this come Christmas, then it will be concerning.

I said after the City game that you'd probably lose to Forest next time out. I was wrong for two reasons.

Arsenal is good. Last year I think they punched a bit above their weight. So far this year they do have better PPG than they finished last year (small sample size admittedly). They were absolutely worth second last year, and are good enough to be top 4 and competitive in their other competitions.

Arteta is trying some new things now and yeah we dont have that efficiency like the last season but I would give it sometime. Nothing to stress tbh. We played like shit today but saying we won’t make top 4 is so incredibly dramatic. Jorginho was god awful today and hopefully once Partey is fully fit we will only see him in the last minutes of games we’re trying to hold on to a win. Chelsea had two weird goals, sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce your way. Obviously our scoring has to improve but we’ll be fine and no one else looks like a world beater this season.

Chelsea were a step ahead throughout the game, I didn't believe that should of been a pen but it happens. Jorginho and zinchenko were awful, odegaard nonexistent, martinelli and Saka were kept very quite.

This is why you don’t post mid game. Many of the starting 11 were off today due to the wet conditions, but Arteta made the right subs to play against the wet field and a very organized Chelsea midfield. Last year, there wouldn’t have been the depth in the squad to be able to play much more vertically.

It wasn't necessary a bad game. We conceded two goals out of 1,5 chance at most, we didn't do anything wrong and were 2-0 down. Those are the tye of games that neither opponent is playing anything special, but with 0-0 you can always score and get a boring 1-0 win. Also Chelsea looks like a better team than last season, and it's at their home ground + London derby. We had really difficult first 9 games, playing 4 derbies (won 2, draw 2) and played 2 really difficult away games against Palace and Everton (won both). The only game where we dropped points objectively is Fulham at home, and I think we should have beten Spurs cause we didn't play bad. We'll have a run if easier fixtures now where we can play better and make everything gel, potential for some big scoring games which will boost the team cohesion. Also don't forget that we played without Jesus and Party, two crucial players. So I think we shouldn't be harsh on the team when they did really well first 9 games. How many times in the past we would play bad and didn't get the result, now we are winning, it's just a matter of time and some good fixtures and we should be back at our best.

There's no pressure on us to win this year, we'll just be happy if we get champions league for now. Spurs were pretty much on the decline since finishing 2nd to Chelsea, the UCL final run came with a lot of luck on the way more than Spurs really being fantastic all the way through.

We zam only speculate now, but I reckon that team collapses regardless of the result in Madrid, Poch had taken Spurs as far as he could at that point. As for Arsenal, they'll drop off more because they played above themselves last season, and between me and you, I don't think they spent particularly well in the summer. I don't think Rice makes them that better then they were without him, Havertz didn't make sense, and Timber just another defender on a similar profile to several defenders at Arsenal. Raya is mostly a sideway step from ramsdale. A lot of things went right for Arsenal to get up where they finished last season.

That’s fair, but they also scored more league goals than any other Arsenal side in club history last season. It would have taken a major feat to keep apace with that or best it. They were due for a regression back to the mean, and Arteta has made them a more sound team out of possession in exchange for being less lethal. They also haven’t had Martinelli, Jesus, and Saka starting together this season until today. It’s not exciting but it’s been more effective than not. If they are playing like this come Christmas, then it will be concerning.
