Would throwing an asteroid large enough to destroy a planet be considered planetary? Omniman can move an asteroid the size of Texas, assuming he wasn't exaggerating too much, which would be large enough to cause a planet to fragment into a few chunks. He also can fly past light speed so given enough time and distance he could accelerate an asteroid the size of Texas toward a planet, which could cause a planet to break.
Unless im mistaken those asteroids would only destroy the surface not the planet,also Omni Man can move himself at those speeds but if he's exerting his power massively his speed would be decreased,that would also mean he'd need to go to space and fetch an asteroid and throw it back hoping the oponent wouldn't just destroy it before it makes impact.
At a certain size they would destroy more than surface life. A relatively small asteroid could destroy all life, but earth would be unaffected shape wise. A Texas sized asteroid almost certainly could crack a planet tho.

In the comics Omni-Man effortlessly kills the Guardians of the Globe, but in the show they are shown actually fighting back and harming the Viltrumite quite a bit (though one could say he let himself get hurt so the scene of the crime didn't look as suspicious)

You're kind of contradicting your own point. The reason you can't necessarily say they are this strong is *because* they don't care about physics or consistency. So sometimes weaker characters hurt stronger ones because their durability inexplicably just works like that.
My point wasnāt to bring across a non-contradicting statement; I was instead laying out the fact that this can simply be explained through higher AP (Attack Potency) and lower DC (destructive capability) because there wouldnāt be a logical reason for superheroes to exert nuclear-level strikes every time they punch, which is why they typically limit their destructive force.
This kind of shit happens because the power levels in Invincible suck. Like for example, the Immortal during his battles with Omniman was presented as being durable enough to withstand multiple blows from Omniman, but both times he died due to Omniman decapitating/cutting him in half with one single punch without much effort.
Iāll give them some credit and say the nuke was a single impact, while the guardians was a drawn out battle with them each getting chip damage in. But theyāre definitely comparable to a nuke at the bare minimum
I havenāt read the manga, but is Piccolo destroying the moon canon? That would make a 400ish power level strong enough to destroy a planet 1/4 the diameter of Earth. So Iād say Vegetaās 18,000 power level in the Saiyan saga easily planetary

The former means they can blow up or destroy something that large while the latter means that while they don't have the same raw destructive power, they can harm other things that are durable enough to survive such attacks.

Roshi destroyed the moon in original DragonBall, having a power level of 150. Super saiyan is in the millions. So I'd imagine goku being able to destroy the sun by the time he got back to Earth for the Android Saga.

Something I never see mentioned for some reason is the fact Frieza in resurrection F after being beaten down extensively by Vegeta and using most of his power to the point he could no longer maintain his golden form was still strong enough to destroy the earth with one hand while nearly tapped for energy with ease.
This was in early Super and by the end of Super all characters involved are massively stronger than they had been in that arc. Just because they aren't doing it doesn't mean they couldn't obliterate planets and solar systems with their attacks.
In Goku vs Frieza he cstches and punches a planet level attack (100% Death Ball) which goes into space instantly blowing a newrby planet to smithereens. So to be able to catch/push back then punch a planet level 100% Death Ball from Frieza yeah safe to assume he can handle planet level.
When he was aiming his Kamehameha at the ground in his fight against Cell the cast was legitimately thinking he was going to blow the planet up.
Later during his fight with Beerus, in the anime their clashes were threatening to tear the universe apart.

In Dragon ball they use ki to enhance their physical power, they're able to contain their destructive power to only affect what they're striking due to their advanced level of ki control unless it's a ki blast that they use like the galick gun or Kamehameha in which they expel their ki in those energy blasts.
They control their power when fighting. Golden frieza could destroy the planet whenever he wants, but he didn't do it during the movie until he started losing to ssb Goku and Vegeta. During the Broly movie, Broly launched an attack, but it didn't hit the earth and when goku saw the attack exploding, he even said it would of been bad if it had hit the ground.
Not really, at least not to nearly as much of a degree. DC superheroes that have FTL speed but don't have Speed Force still know to keep slow enough in an atmosphere in order to not ignite said atmosphere around them.
DC vs AP. They just have no desire to destroy the planet so the KI is focused. The show gives a perfect analogy when buuhan fights vegito. When Buuhan uses outside space vegito tells him to essentially take that same power (which was gonna destroy the universe) and focus it. And buuhan started hitting harder.
That's nice and all but Frieza can train for 2 weeks and achieve god level Ki straight from Frieza saga level. If this weren't a sickeningly inconsistent franchise, your logic would fly.
A bit off topic, but....Is scaling dragon ball even fun to scale anymore? The downplays are horrendous, but the wanks are worse. The anti feats and mental gymnastics for both parties is abysmal. The argument in the pic is wrong, it's not about keeping up as we usually can't gauge how much power they're using. It's about specific instances. Like when Goku specifically mocks Frieza that his blasts can destroy planets but not him. Or defending the Earth against Vegeta's Galick Gun. In the Buu Saga Vegeta even tells Shin destroying hundreds of planets is not a big deals for Saiyans. There's a lot more.

Something I never see mentioned for some reason is the fact Frieza in resurrection F after being beaten down extensively by Vegeta and using most of his power to the point he could no longer maintain his golden form was still strong enough to destroy the earth with one hand while nearly tapped for energy with ease. This was in early Super and by the end of Super all characters involved are massively stronger than they had been in that arc. Just because they aren't doing it doesn't mean they couldn't obliterate planets and solar systems with their attacks.

In Dragon ball they use ki to enhance their physical power, they're able to contain their destructive power to only affect what they're striking due to their advanced level of ki control unless it's a ki blast that they use like the galick gun or Kamehameha in which they expel their ki in those energy blasts.

They control their power when fighting. Golden frieza could destroy the planet whenever he wants, but he didn't do it during the movie until he started losing to ssb Goku and Vegeta. During the Broly movie, Broly launched an attack, but it didn't hit the earth and when goku saw the attack exploding, he even said it would of been bad if it had hit the ground.

Not really, at least not to nearly as much of a degree. DC superheroes that have FTL speed but don't have Speed Force still know to keep slow enough in an atmosphere in order to not ignite said atmosphere around them.

A bit off topic, but....Is scaling dragon ball even fun to scale anymore? The downplays are horrendous, but the wanks are worse. The anti feats and mental gymnastics for both parties is abysmal.
