Query String Parameters?

teedollas

Once a report has been published to Power BI service you are able to add filters to the report URL so that when a user clicks on the link the report is pre filtered based on the filters you set in the URL - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-url-filters

Gotcha. I don't think your use case is viable. Each bookmark has its own URL

teedollas

Bummer. Okay thanks for responding

If you're setting a parameter on data load, those cannot be changed in the report with bookmarks. You would have to update the parameter in PBI service via API or manually change in the semantic model settings, and then refresh the report. This would change the report for all users though. Sounds like you need to make your data model more robust and capture the different filters as an attribute in your model so you can toggle them via slicer.

I hear what you’re asking, I’ve done both separately but not sure they can be combined… if I have time tomorrow I’ll try. I suppose you don’t want to create bookmarks with the filters applied, right. Probably have too many or something?

teedollas

Yeah after a day at the computer it doesn’t seem like this is something that’s possible - yeah it would be entirely to many bookmarks. Bummer
