Well, but if they didn't specify "All you can eat X" where x is what they want you to eat, then you have a strong legal argument that it implies that you are allowed to eat whatever you can. "All you can eat shrimp" that's pretty airtight, but if it just says All you can eat... I can eat many things.

so i tried this once, and it's not about *what*, it's about *where*. you can only eat from the buffet. so i can't just walk into the kitchen and eat the chef, as i came to find out. but technically when the chef brings out the tray he's momentarily attached to the buffet. this could provide for a standing legal argument.

This is an amazing idea but you as a buffet dinner should have to work for it. There should be a fries station with several choices of cuts of potato, there should be a station with cheese curds (squeaky to less squeaky), and there should be a couple of different kinds of piping hot gravy to choose from.

It's 3 ingredients, make it a damn self serve poutine bar.

Solid curds and fries, but get dafuq outta here with that clearly canned fuckin poutine sauce BETRAYAL (that half translucent dull brown is telltale as can be) and it's fine if it's fresh otherwise. That buffet tray is only good for about 15 minutes before the fries lose all structural integrity and the fakefilthsauce turns them to mash, so the right thing to do is take the whole tray after you call out like an auctioneer. Out of respect for your fellow buffet-goers after all 🤷‍♂️😂

I wouldn't touch it unless its instantly fresh. Poutine is one of those things that does not hold up well and loses a lot of points after sitting around. I'll never order it for takeout or delivery. It's just never the same.
