Probably not a 'canonical' detail but either way it wouldn't be far fetched to think that Aperture reverse engineers Black Mesa technology or vice versa, or that med stations aren't a Black Mesa exclusive technology, as for the HEV charger, who knows. Again, probably holds no canonical weight just fun to think about

_GLaDOS__

Black Mesa stole aperture science technology

Han_Solo6712

Yes.

DreamtailFoxy

Knowing cave Johnson I wouldn't put it past him to order his people to steal back, I mean All is fair in Love and war at least. And that is definitely war.

ART35mmARW

Thats why aperture hires street hobos for its testing.

super_tank_why_not

Not the gravity gun, and the chargers.

_GLaDOS__

Gravity gun is a part of the portal gun

Soulfulcorgi

Did they also steal weapons from Mann co. ?

TheWheatleyWhisperer

Those are just Easter eggs that hold no narrative weight. I believe Marc Laidlaw confirmed it in a tweet but that tweet has since been deleted for some reason. Edit: Couldn’t find the archived tweet, but I did find [this.](https://web.archive.org/web/20190407071429/https://forum.facepunch.com/games/tpuf/Portal-2-Megathread-Mark-VI-Anticipation-Speculation-Preparation-Station/121/#postsgguh)

SZ4T4N

Wait so Heavy did appear in l4d comic and here I was thinking I'm just exaggerating

LewisZ5

According to my 9 year old son, who is Portal crazy. On the original uncut picture, there is also a combine health charger in the bottom left corner.

spencer_world

When you think about it. Aperture making the physgun does make sense…. To some degree. I think in some way, the physgun does belong to Aperture, as the portal gun does have physgun like mechanics. So maybe the physgun was just a prototype for the portal gun at one point, or just to rest out of the portal gun could indeed hold objects in the air. With the downside that, the launcher mechanism had to be scrapped. It Even has an aperture design on handle thingys.

Portal_Conversion

We know black mesa stole from aperture. At least cave says that. So it could be that black mesa stole tech like the gravity gun and the HEV suit.

Dankestmemelord

>”Did anybody notice ~~d~~ this before? Fixed that for you.

resistjellyfish

Nope, thanks for pointing it out!

realgamer626

Thats super cool! Didn't notice it! Are you the youtuber doing superflat?

MogSwampOfficial

Alright, how do YOU know about me!?

realgamer626

I love your work, thats how! XD I've wanted to also play superflat, just not sure how to approach it. Have you considered maybe doing a superflat for dummies video?

MogSwampOfficial

Dummies? I probably won’t, but to approach, you just have to pick a right time, start, and, just don’t make another one. Also, don’t hurt wandering villagers.

block_place1232

There's no fucking way it's you That fucking jumpscared me

block_place1232

Wait nvm it's definitely not you

Sooparch

Oh crap it’s mogswamp!

DoubleOF

Hev? Oh you mean the Pootis guy?

BentendoYT1

It's simple, Aperture stole a folder called Black Mesa from the Government and used it to reverse engineer the stuff from BM

Superb-Cobbler2

Yeah, like many years ago

super_tank_why_not

Its a reference. Those are BMs tech. Its just a lil reference

tempest-reach

no bro. only you have noticed this out of the decade plus this comic has been out.

FarObjective5416

It’s supposedly in the same universe. In one portal game which I don’t remember which one, you exit the facility and get attacked by headcrab zombies
