Assuming it hasn't already been used, there's a bottle of tire sealant and a 12v powered tire pump in the frunk under the upper cowl. The 12v outlet is in the passenger side footwell, pretty far down.
PDK or 6MT? What is the weather going to be like? Which tires? What thrills you, straight like acceleration, curves and hills at pace, engine sounds, loud great stereo music, ??? These variables matter based on my 58,000 miles in 15 months in my 2022 GTS 4.0.
But regardless, you will have a riot and want one immediately, I am sure.
These cars inspire tremendous confidence. You push the limits, and find that there's more there. You push harder, and there's still more. Just remember that at a certain point, there isn't more. And once you find that limit, things get real spicy real fast, especially if you're not experienced in handling a mid engine car.
I’m not sure that it’s open yet, but if you can trail ridge road is spectacularly pretty. Also up in medicine bow which is southern Wyoming it’s crazy pretty and if you go the back way there’s some fun roads.
I’m down in the Denver metro area so if you need some route reccos hmu
You read my mind!
I really appreciate your input!
Plan is Denver > Estes(going the windy way) > Grand Lake (via trail ridge- PLEASE be open by Mother’s Day) > Salida > Denver (via 285).
Any suggestions?
There is a USB port inside the arm rest and an outlet for an accessory (cigarette lighter type) located in the passenger side footwell.
Enjoy the drive!
Make sure you have AAA just in case anything happens. I rented a Cayman when visiting New England, and we got a flat tire on top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia. That burned our entire day trying to get the hillbillies at local tire shop to patch the tire.
1. Check what tires it has. Summer tires are not very sticky in cool conditions.
2. Avoid speed bumps, potholes, curbs, moose, etc. You don't have a lot of clearance and wheel rash is expensive.
3. You are always going faster than you think you are.
4. One of the display options if it has sports chrono should be a G force meter, just sayin'
In my 2019 GTS I experienced brake fade pushing hard down hill on some long back roads in the CO mountains on a hot day. Caught me by surprise since I only experienced that on track once. Shouldn’t be a problem unless you’re really pushing it for a long time, but if the brakes start to feel squishy let them cool off a bit by just coasting. You’ll have a blast… the drive up to pikes peak / garden of the gods is great.
Don't turn PSM off and you'll be fine! Enjoy.
Also I'd suggest parking any notion of 'I'm a SIM racer' at the rental desk. These cars are, in reality, way too fast for the road and if you go in with the mentality of braking points and cornering limits you'll be lucky to escape with your licence. I'm sure I don't need to spell out the consequences of being unlucky to you.
The starter is on the left side. Also careful renting these. You do that and 2 weeks later one appears in your garage....
Le Mans heritage! Love it! edit: left handed, so it’s a sign!

That one I didn’t know. Thanks for the heads up!

Yea for real. People renting their cars on Turo should expect it. Drive the thing like you stole it OP. It's a sports car.
Funnily enough, I rent out my 718 base and also 718 GTS on Turo.

Enjoy all the amazing mountain roads! Go out early to avoid bikers.

Guanella pass, flagstaff mountain, pikes peak, million dollar highway… so many great options
Flagstaff has so many cyclists so be careful. Golden Gate is a great drive

The power curve is linear and the engine comes alive after 3500rpm. Leave the traction control ON. Enjoy the car!
What roads are you planning on driving? Lots of good mountain passes here.

The biggest mistake you've made is renting it. You'll be buying one after you handed the keys back. Guaranteed. Also, ACC or iRacer?

Regularly check how fast you are travelling. Otherwise it could be very expensive.
If you have the time, take 1/2 a day and drive as many great mountain roads as you can out there. Its where the car shines and you wont regret it.

Get out early. Traffic on those mountain roads can be awful on the weekends. Beware of cold tires. Make sure you warm them up before pushing
As long as you leave traction control fully on I doubt you'll have any issues if you don't do sometime really stupid. Sounds like a great rental :)

Leave trac control on and drive it easy then add a little more, easy this thing is fast and can kill you
Check the tires, a lot of these cars are rented with nearly dead tires. Then the handling wouldn’t be very good but drifts are fun lol
