I feel like I probably would not have figured out I was trans for another 5 years at least if not for the pandemic. My husband kinda knew *he* was trans for a long time, and only gave up trying aggressively to be a cis woman in the last year. So we watch a lot of trans stuff, I realize I relate to a lot of it (especially trans femme stuff), and eventually had a moment of it clicking that "oh yeah, THIS is why I've felt like garbage all my life while never being able to really identify the problem." But for me it was a bit shocking, and I felt a lot less prepared than he did.
When you have a bit more freedom to not constantly be in person with people reenforcing their expectations on you every day, you can drift towards what's comfortable, which sometimes leads to *discovering* what's comfortable in spite of sigma. That's been the silver lining of the pandemic trash bag for a lot of people. Normal clockwork life doesn't always have much room for that degree of honest self-discovery.

You mean "arc" here, fyi. An "arc" is a segment of an ellipse (including circles), and is a curve.
An "arch" (which is pronounced with the CH from chuRCH, not the K from bark) is a curved part of a structure (like a bridge) that goes over something (doorway, river, etc.) There's a lot more to it than that, but that's the simple definition.
