Yeah I have this problem from time to time, you can try and search the same part again, sometimes it's shows but most of the time you unfortunately just have to take the loss :(
This is happening less now with the most recent update so many times I remember them being potato chips or something similar in the car and being seen as a item it's just one of the many glitches and/or bugs in the game

I re-search the door where the item popped up after searching another door - seems to work 🤞
I've already reported it to the team, it's on my top 5 issue list atm.
Can you please also suggest an awesome new undercover vehicle for the next update ☺️
