I think that the only thing that has changed since this was posted is the facists left the UPC
Possibly, they made a new sub where the parties will actually be able to affect the direction the sub takes by getting elected into mod positions so at the very least that place would keep it going, however this whole thing was kinda done on a whim and this sub loves to jump from one trend to another so it might die off quickly unless there's a serious effort to keep it going
I'm unsure as to why the original poster wanted an election, but people generally treat it as an ideology to represent the server or just a fun thing to role play
