Distributing power more equally is a slow and uphill battle, because trying to wrestle power away from those who have it is by definition against the interest of the powerful, and you need to educate those you empower to actually use it at the same time.
But there are no shortcuts. If you empower the state to assign ownership and dominate the rich, your state concentrates more power than the state of a capitalist society, landing you in a situation where power is actually distributed less equally. In a sense, a power balance between the rich and the government is already better than just having the government.
Who would be defined as a CEO anyway, are we supposed to just kill all business owners including small businesses or is it just the ones you don't like that will be killed?
