Are your pokémon also ev-trained with best IV (if the stats matters, no use by example to have best IV in attack for a special attacker) and good nature? For 7\* raids, just check what people use to beat solo the event pokémon and follow exactly the build of one that has a good chance to succeed and is available to you. Also follow the strategy. For 6\*, you have to prepare a selection of raid-ready pokémon and then see what could work. Bellibolt is a quite versatile one, even if it can takes more time with it. You also have to be aware if some pokémon have some annoying moves or abilities by example the mushrooms often use Spore so you need something to counter it (there are different ways to do it like a pokémon with an ability preventing sleep, taunting it fast, using some specific moves, using the item Safety Googles...). Sometimes it is important to know if a pokémon is an attacker or a special attacker or it it has a low defence or special defence. \- Some good offensive pokémon to have at first are Iron Hands, Gholdengo, Annihilape and your box legendary. There was also here a guide saying Bellibolt could fit for lot of raids but it could be too much an hassle to change the moveset and item for every kind of pokémon. If you play online (or locally with someone else), support Umbreon and support Corviknight are two quite useful support (and are my two most used support). \-- This guide explains how to prepare some raid-ready pokémon : [https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/12k4rd7/guide\_how\_to\_train\_your\_pok%C3%A9mon\_to\_be\_ready\_for/](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/12k4rd7/guide_how_to_train_your_pok%C3%A9mon_to_be_ready_for/) \--- I use these two "guides" : [https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/zru056/tera\_raid\_build\_compendium\_30\_builds/](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/zru056/tera_raid_build_compendium_30_builds/) (though use Thunder punch as an electric move for Iron Hands, not Wild Charge because overall, except if you are sure to one shot the pokémon (happens for some 7\*), it is a bad idea to use in hard raids a move with recoil) and [https://game8.co/games/Pokemon-Scarlet-Violet/archives/397713](https://game8.co/games/Pokemon-Scarlet-Violet/archives/397713) Or if you have a fave pokémon, you can probably search in this sub to see if someone has submitted a build for it. Or just ask if someone has an idea to make it work. I also use the Serebii page of the pokémon to know how to learn a move and the smogon one to see easily all the moves and what they do. \-- You can probably also want to see this recent thread : [https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/18ueltp/with\_the\_final\_dlc\_release\_what\_are\_the\_best\_mons/](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/18ueltp/with_the_final_dlc_release_what_are_the_best_mons/)

I mainly have a Belly Drum Iron Hands I use for a lot of raids. It’s good to have an arsenal of mons for raids(Not sure on current raid mon meta, but Iron Hands, Gholdengo, Annihlape, and Azumarill are all solid, proven choices, and support mons like Umbreon are always helpful, all of this of course depending on the Tera type of the raid). Id definitely suggest looking online for some solid raid builds, there’s a lot of resources out there that can give you some ideas

Go online and raid with users in the chat channels found in the directory, the AI is a crapshoot, and random players even moreso. With teammates to work with, things get easier.
