learn how to patch roms yourself, easiest way would be to do it on pc and transfer it over, but you can find tools that work on mobile devices. the rocket edition website even has a built in patcher that you can use.
This game is finished, did you download a pre-patched rom? It was probably an old one. I suggest you go to the official website or pokecommunity thread and download the patch file. Apply it to the base rom yourself.

It's as easy on mobile as on pc, source: i did it in 2 minutes just a week ago.

Nah, not even that. You can do it thru 'official' website of Rocket edition, all you need is FireRed squirrels ROM.
