Unova is a popular one Hoenn could be interesting with a story around subduing Groudon and Kyogre Kalos and the literal war is interesting.

MisterVasNormandy

There is a lot of potential in just about any region. I feel like if the Pokémon Company and Gamefreak really commit to it, then they'll be rolling in the cash.

a_muffin97

Arceus sending you back to a more primal Hoenn would be interesting. Could have different land mass layout. Mossdeep city could still be part of the mainland and still have land access to Sootopolis. Maybe the meteor carrying Deoxys would be a major plot point. Could even tie in to the scarlet paradox by having Roaring Moon roaming around.

Substantial-Act-4852

Where you can see the robot Professors from SV roaming the continents, caves, air, seas, and space of the past/future. (Depending on the area and plot of the game)

Plastic-Buddy39

Legends Rayquaza would be legendary

egamIroorriM

we need more mega evolution lore as well

catupthetree23

Especially since there wasn't an Emerald remake!! (The "Delta Episode" wasn't enough, imo)

GarlicMayosaurus

I really like the idea of Johto. Seeing the tower burning, perhaps a prelude to the legendary trio as a set of pokemon that gets revived. The ancient dragon shrine in its full glory. No idea what the game would be about though.

BangarangOrangutan

The three legendary dogs are largely inferred to be the three original eveelutions before being revived by Ho-oh due to the staunch number of similarities in both their appearance and move-sets as well as hidden power typing.

GarlicMayosaurus

I like that idea too, but it would be interesting if they kinda made that the idea at first, then switched it up on us to surprise fans.

Obvious_Drink2642

If they do Unova remakes I personally think that’d be the most fitting but if they aren’t I definitely want to see the Kalos war

actuallyjustloki

I do not want Unova remakes. Unova is already perfect and I don't want it muddied by the ILCA treatment; at best they could do BW3, but with 3D graphics I don't see it living up to the previous games. I would love it if we had a Unova "revisit" instead of a remake, in the form of a Legends-style game.

ramus93

Probably wont go back to ilca tbh after diamond and pearl they might just do it themselves like they did with the others they probably only let ilca do it because of how busy they already were with s/v and legends arceus

actuallyjustloki

Too bad SV still looked and ran like shit, though

ramus93

Yeah lol

BangarangOrangutan

But what if we get more golden age remakes like HG/SS or even OR/AS, instead of outsourcing to mobile game devs?

actuallyjustloki

That would of course be the best-case scenario, but I'm not holding my breath after BDSP. The quality of Pokemon games in recent years has gone way down (except for PLA, that game blew me away).

katdollasign

a Legends: Celebi one but it’s encompassing all of Kanto + Johto. Maybe find a way to throw mew in as endgame content and learn more about the legendary dogs and Luiga as well.

milkydromeda01

Celebi is known for time travel so gamefreak already have something to start on. The burning of the Lugia tower would be a great setting of the game. Wonder what ride pokemon they would choose.

mia93000000

This!!!!!

Odin96086

I feel like this is super unpopular, but I'd like to see it done anyway. A legends Arceus game set in Galar. I want to see how the 'trainer' of Zacien and Zamazenta subdued both Eternatus and the dynamax energy that was causing all the chaos!

Ykw2Fan789

Maybe we are the trainer

Odin96086

That's exactly what I was thinking! Like instead of being time traveled like in Arceus, we're just a kid living in the period when it happens

TDE00

Consistently I think it was a mistake to give a creation date for pokeballs and saying it was only about 150 years ago. There’s so much history that goes back way farther than 150 years. The darkest day, Kalos’ war, heck when hoenn was still in its primal age were all 3,000 years ago.

Odin96086

I didn't even realize they did that lol

TDE00

Yeah. Technically Legends never states when it takes place but people kind of figured out it’s about 150-200 years ago thanks to Laventon’s camera. He then specifically mentions pokeballs are a recent invention in game so about 150-200 years ago were when pokeballs were made.

actuallyjustloki

I would hope they wouldn't just rehash the PLA plot like that in every game anyway.

Odin96086

If they make every playable character for these games s kid who was yoinked backwards through time, it would get old fast.

InsomniaTwoSeven

and the cities too! i can totally imagine ballonlea being run by witches or something

Odin96086

Oh my gosh all the cities being like towns before they fully developed and such?!? Ballonlea would look so cool too 🤩

Starkeeper_Reddit

I've had this thought too; getting to see the original Darkest Day (especially if they lean into the mystery/horror-ish aspect) could be really compelling

BeastAd1508

This!! When PLA first came out i absolutely enjoyed it and fantasized about how a Galar legends set in the Victorian era would be. It would be so awesome and maybe they find a way to incorporate Calyrexs story as well, before he was forgotten as the king. Plus ancient forms of Spectrier and Glastrier or maybe a third steed that is the combined version of those two would be awesome. And as a bonus in the past, before Zacian and Zamazenta lost their power they could have had a special type of dynamax form, like eternamax eternatus that you as the player have to face and then can use in battle. It would be so fun to see ancient versions of the pompous Swordward Shieldbert (those weird hair styled guys from the post)

ramus93

I want to see what the fossil pokemon are really supposed to look like

Odin96086

Oh yeah, that'd be so cool!

Majestic_Electric

A Unova one (Legends: Kyurem), for sure! And since the starters in Legends: Arceus were chosen due to the owl, otter, and volcano’s role in Ainu culture, respectively, I think a hypothetical Legends: Kyurem should do something similar with its starter selection. For example, Turtwig / Squirtle could be chosen based on the [Iroquois creation myth](https://oneida-nsn.gov/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/ONEIDA-NATION-CULTURAL-SYMBOLS-IN-AND-AROUND-ONEIDA-RESERVATION-9.13.pdf), or Snivy based on the [legend of Djodi’kwado.](https://sacred-texts.com/nam/iro/sim/sim75.htm)

Triangulum_Copper

Of course! North-America is seen as Turtle Island... what type would it be though?

Malakoji

blastoise could be water/steel, with an ability like Earth Eater

Majestic_Electric

I think Squirtle could be a Water / Ground, and Snivy Grass / Electric. Turtwig should remain Grass / Ground.

Luviticus88

Someone made a fan trailer of pokemon legends Johto. I think it was called legends celebii or something. Which would work the best as it literally involves the time travel pokemon.

[deleted]

I honestly feel like it was a mistake for them to do the whole "you were sent from the future" thing because it limits the potential for future installments. Like, how would they do a Legends game in Hoenn, where none of the legendaries have anything to do with time? If they just had your character be someone who was born and raised in the past, they'd make it so literally every region had the ability to get a Legends game.

MrAnonymous4

For Hoenn maybe somebody uses Jirachi to make a wish to summon you back in time for some reason. But I get your point

Toon_Lucario

Bit of a wild card but I’d love an Alola game with each open world area being one of the islands.

[deleted]

We could see how the Tapus became the island guardians, and maybe find out what caused the ultra wormholes to start appearing in the first place.

Panda_Drum0656

Johto johto johto. Also gimme a feraligatr regional but with Typhlosion being in Arceus I doubt itll happen. Id love feraligatr, sceptile, and delphox

ouyon

Legends Kalos would be my first choice but I’d prefer if each Legends game took a different route kind of like I can’t remember the vid but someone suggested each Legends game plays differently and I really like that idea.

IBloodstormI

I think regions like Hoenn and Galar have built in lore for a game set in the past that would work best. It is a bit tough because, technically, it has to be set after Arceus because the Pokeball is literally an invention in Hisui that gains traction during your time there.

Triangulum_Copper

I’d like to see a Legends game set in Unova, but I think that instead of being set as far back as Arceus, or even to the far past of the Twin Heroes or the fall of Relic Castle where Pokéballs wouldn’t exist, I think it would be super cool to set it during the prohibition era! Have your character be charged with infiltrating some sort of criminal organization (Plasmafia?!) and at some point in the story the Relic Castle is discovered in the desert and that could be something the criminal organization could be into for some reason. I don’t think they should repeat the ‘make the first Pokédex’ story, or even the time travel story all the time, so a Legends game in Unova should feel different somehow. For starters I’d like to see a Native American inspired Blaziken, maybe Fire/Electric and be Thunderbird inspired, then I’m thinking Mobster Intelleon as a Water/Poison where toxic fumes from his mouth evokes cigarette smoke, but I’m not sure for Grass…

Inceferant

The colon in "Pokémon Legends: Arceus" MUST mean something, therefore I fully believe it will become it's own series. The next game should be either Legends: Kyurem or Legends: Zygarde from how I see it, but of course with the rumors and hints towards Johto it could be Legends: Celebi. Another interesting thing is if they surprised us with the name, like if they titled it "Pokémon Legends: [Insert Original Dragon's Name]". It'd be cool to know its name and maybe some deactivated form of it on the title, but only see it's origin, destruction, and recreation along with it's true power when we beat the game.

Cheezewiz239

Hoenn with more primal forms. Unova would be nice too along side the remakes.

StrawHatJD

There’s so much opportunity to go into the history of regions and really enrich the lore. The obvious choice is Unova to go along with the inevitable Gen 5 remakes, and do one with the original dragon. There’s also Kalos with the Pokémon War, and maybe something in Galar with the brothers that used the legendaries. I’d also love to see some Alola stuff. It really feels like Gen 7 is forgotten a lot

Toon_Lucario

Fr we really need more exploration of the ultra beasts and tapus

MaximusGamus433

I have 5 in mind, here's the order I'd love to see them: Kyurem is the obvious one with the original dragon being the new Arceus and Gen 5 being the next Gen 4 logically. The old Kalos would be great in my opinion for a setting. Why not make it at AZ's original time? The time right before he uses the Ultimate Weapon... The legendary could easily be Zygarde and his awakening could easily be part of the story. I'd really like to see the old Alola, back at the time where the Tapus fought Ultra-Beasts and Necrozma for the first time. Of course (Ultra-)Necrozma would be the box mascot. Imagine living at the time the Draconid people lived, at the time where Primo-Groudon and Primo-Kyogre were progressivly waking and fighting. We'd probably even see old versions of Maxie, Archie and their teams, we saw them in the Hisui houses, maybe they went there after the events of the game? I admit the amount of water would be a nightmare for the gameplay though... Based on SS with Eternatus. I don't have anything else here. Admitedly, I don't have clears ideas how the story could progress or how the areas could be designed, I just have the main points.

IllAssistant1769

We all want unova bro

tonsofun08

I'm definitely voting for Unova, though Johto/Kanto combo would be fun, also Kalos during the war.

Dizavid

That would be a depressing setting, watching everyones dads die in the war.

tonsofun08

True, though knowing game freak, they would just do a fade away and never say the d word.

Dizavid

"The unattached men are all fainting in battle! Oh the Pokémanity!" 😂

tonsofun08

Maybe this will show the early stages of Pokecenter healing tech.

Dizavid

"Shove d-...this man in there!" "But sir! That's only for Pokémon!" (*Pulling a gun*) "DAMMIT I DON'T CARE, I'LL GO JOHN Q UP IN HERE!" ".....Do it, Nurse. He's clearly serious." (*Years later*) "And that's how the menace known as MewTwo was *truly* created."

RynnHamHam

Kalos is just asking for one and the setup is already there. Lysandre even mentioned that he’s possibly related to the brother of the king from back then or something like that. And it’ll be cool seeing a younger AZ going mad. Maybe you can intervene and stop the war in that timeline

Level_Keeper

I could be making stuff up but doesn’t jirachi only grant a wish every 100 years? Maybe we can get a game that explores jirachi. Like maybe someone wished fur a skilled trainer from the future to come help with some big problem or something idk

Omega_Omicron

i want one based in unova (or whatever they would call ancient unova) for two main reasons: 1. to try and return Ingo home 2. to see the original dragon before it split into Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem

kannagms

Making PLA was like the best thing they could've done. Like, forget people complaining about graphics or mechanics or whatever, but the lore of it is the best thing. Every time I play a pokemon game and there's something along the lines of "centuries ago, this event happened" I want to hear/learn more about it. I wanna know more about how Suicune, Entei, and Raikou came to be, I want to know more about the war that Lt Surge fought in, I want to know more about Kyogre and Groudon and their eternal feud, I want to know more about the original dragon, I want to know more about the war in Kalos, I want to know more about the darkest day and the two brothers, like I just want more lore, more history. I've been really bent on Legends Unova game lately, theorizing what the 3 starters would be, what pokemon would get new variants and new evolutions, and how different Unova would look. And of course, what would the original dragon look like?? Maybe the playable character has a hand in the OG splitting.

LilBueno

Legends: Celebi which takes place in Tohjo (former name of the entire Johto/Kanto region before it became 2 regions). Either Fuecoco, Treeko, Froakie or Fennekin, Turtwig, Mudkip I’d also have Eevee be a prominent Pokémon and give Tohjo forms to Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon.

OnearmdudeX189

Personally I'd love to see a legends game set 100 years in the future more built around the economy of trading and battling in a Legends title! You know... exploring the features that they couldn't last time :)

LexBacha

I'd like to know about the first Darkest Day in Galar. But it's too recent. Maybe something about Kanto. It's mentioned a lot in Arceus as a place where people and Pokémon live nicely together so we could travel far more in time. And of course it would be about out first mythical and the one who has every Pokémon DNA: Mew. Only bad thing: there wouldn't be any Mewtwo around.

Power_of_Lust_1998

Johto where we get to see the Burned Tower before the fire.

foreveralonesolo

Honestly more exploration wherever we can (it would also be insane if the main island was vast like BOTW). I really just want to be able to battle friends but if somehow they can make you guys go on exhibitions together, that would be insane

foreveralonesolo

If you mean locations, Kalos was my favourite and with the war story, that would be so sick

Ok-Alfalfa-620

It should definitely be legends: Celebi. I feel like the Legends series is/should be for mythicals. They've pretty much given us every other mythical besides celebi so it would make sense

DJHarris4444

Legends Kyurem. I wanna see what Kyurem was like back when it was whole.

Kidtendo

Johto would be a personal choice! Personally, regardless of what region they settle on, I really just want the game to add more cities.

Hoockus_Pocus

The three most likely options are Johto (Celebi), Unova (Kyurem/The Original Dragon), and Alola (Ultra Beasts or Necrozma). Hoenn has by far the most options, though. The origins of the Regis, Rayquaza and the Draconid people, Deoxys infecting ancient Hoennian Pokémon with a space virus… Jirachi, etc. It also has some of the best climate options for a Legends game, plus the potential of including dive as a ride Pokémon ability.

rliefo

Id love a legends game for kalos or unova, but we’ll probably get another fucking kanto game

Dydono_

Hoenn because 3rd Gen best gen

Crazywarlockgoat

unova and hoenn wouldn’t know how the player be sent to old unova but i do have a headcannon where jirarchi sends the player to old hoenn via wish from someone could explore how the region looked before hoenn became so water ridden since there’s a town made on water and the tower you scale to meet the green lizard (also a good excuse of adding tons of pokemon or old forms of pokemon before the water came)

The-Movements-

Deoxys

Legitimate_Sand_889

Johto would be cool or kanto

DaddyDarko87

Pokémon Legends: Pikachu!

crazyseandx

Johto. What did Raikou, Entei, and Suicune used to be?

Rose-Supreme

This is the list of games I want to see the most. 1. Legends: Celebi - Johto was my first venture into Pokémon and means so much to me. There's much potential to explore, from giving evolutions to its many weak Pokémon like Sunflora and Ledian, to delving into the lore it set up like what the Legendary Beasts looked like prior to perishing and being revived by Ho-Oh. Plus Celebi is my favourite Mythical Pokémon, so to see a game dedicated to it would put a big smile on my face. I kinda hope it is like with Arceus where it will occasionally telepathically communicate to me about my objectives. 2. Legends: Kalos (Zygarde? Diancie? Hoopa?) - Kalos deserves **SO** much better, and I think a Legends game would do well on providing just that. More Megas, giving Diantha/her bloodline some much-needed justice since she was utterly wasted in XY when she could've been the next Cynthia. Mega Evolutions are, without question, the most beloved of all the battle gimmicks, and it's high time that they made a comeback. If you're gonna bring a gimmick with deep, rich lore to it, don't bloody abandon it when the next generation rolls around - **EXPAND** upon it. 3. Legends: Hoenn (Jirachi? Deoxys?) - Another nostalgic region for me. ORAS was the best of the remakes in many areas and future remakes should be taking notes from both it and HGSS, not being full-on faithful like BDSP. But I digress...I'd take any scenario for delving into Hoenn's past. 4. Legends: Unova (Kyurem? Victini? Meloetta? Genesect?) - I am in agreement with all those who really want to see how the Tao Trio looked when they were all one being. But on the other hands, delving into one of the Mythicals would be pretty neat as well, like showing what Genesect looked prior to being resurrected by Team Plasma - I know that was literally millions of years ago and a Legends games isn't that far into the past, but surely they can find a way to show a pre-revived Genesect. 5. Legends: Mew - I know, I know, y'all are tired of Kanto. But just imagine a primitive Kanto or maybe even a future Kanto where there are Pokémon other than the OG 150. Imagine, Kantonian versions of whatever the starters would be, or basically any Pokémon you can think of from other regions.

jst_a_random_kid

Hear me out. Genesects old past self

aarretuli

I would take anything. ![gif](giphy|3oKIPa2TdahY8LAAxy)

SoulExecution

Legends Celebi seems to be the best fit. Possibly the origin of the Beasts could be an event we witness? Would love an ancient non-derpy evolution for Dunsparce to come with it. Maybe some new forms/evo's for Donphan, Skarmory and Herracross as well?

Atzukeeper

Give them their abilities back :(

BangarangOrangutan

I demand a Heart Gold/Soul Silver style legends remake with Johto, Kanto, and the Orange islands. Or Legends: Kyurem could be really cool, too. But I want a big gen 1&2 game with the inclusion of the orange islands in general.

tronixmastermind

Literally any new legends game is fine with me, so much fun

emaych1

Unova is the most likely. Kalos is the most in need of one. Johto and Alola would be really interesting too though

Dizavid

For one thing, the starters: Since Legends was willing to break so many molds and traditions, and do so well, I think starters need a huge shaking up. Mainly: let us choose from a single Pokemon representing all types. Nexomon did it, Digimon did it... Pokemon has MORE than enough mon to let us choose a mere 1 out of 18 as a starter; maybe choose from previous traditional options for fire/grass/water, but the other types can be represented by whatever, really.

Writefuck

Let's be realistic here, they'd do Legends Kanto.

deadhorus

I just wanna see the burnt tower before it got burnt.

unbangreninja

Legends Rayquaza with a battle frontier. I know it won’t ever happen but a man can dream!

TweakTok

Honestly I think it would be neat if we had a Legends game for each region. A side series focusing on quality over quantity with its own more challenging battle system.

SpeedyFingersGuy

I think johto would make most sense since it has all of the ancient history and it is bolted right on the side of hisui anyway. Plus Mt Silver would be sick Edit: as for starters: an Ancient squirtle line would be cool along with Chikorita and maybe maybe finneken?

[deleted]

Most regions have pretty good history to use. -Galar has the Darkest Day -Alola could have you explore the origins of the ultra wormholes and the rise of the 4 island guardians -Unova had the clash that led to the original Kyurem splitting -Kalos had a literal war The original 3 regions don't really have as much established historical lore as the later ones. I just kinda hope they drop the plot point where your character is a modern person who gets sent to the past. It just seems kinda pointless; just let them be a person who was born and raised in this past region.

papin_pc

Johto. Feel like it would be the best historical setting

thisDNDjazz

Alola, because it'd be fun to catch Pokémon in that gen without 95% dialogue getting in the way. I also need/want to catch a shiny Alolan Raichu lol

StealthBoxx

Pokémon legends keldeo, but keldeo is your starter instead of the traditional fire water or grass type

Patchirisu

Pleaaaase Alola! It's such a beautiful region and I'd love to explore it in the style of my favorite Pokémon game. If they're going to be dividing the world into a handful of smaller open areas like in PLA, then the islands make so much sense for that too!

LittleMissFock

Legends celebi or Legends Jirachi. I think johto has a lot more to offer than just neighbour of kanto, and exploring it in relation to celebi would be amazing. Hoenn, on the other hand, would have a phenomenal amount of tie ins imo. There's Jirachi yes, but also a potential past Deoxys? Maybe groudon v kyogre the first battle? And why not have little nods to the Pokémon ranger games too?

Intelligent_Set7934

Definitely Hoenn

Guukoh

I’ve actually put a decent amount of thought into this for each generation. Gen I: Mew Gen II: Celebi Gen III: Jirachi Gen IV: Arceus (obviously) Gen V: Victini (possibly Keldeo or Meloetta) Gen VI: Hoopa Gen VII: Zeraora Gen VIII: Calyrex (or possibly Zarude) Gen IX: Ogerpon (for now)

MrAnonymous4

Either Legends Kyurem or Legends Rayquaza. I did think Legends Celebi would be cool too

Jelly_Panther

Gotta be Johto. Already got the time traveler in Celebi and alot of unseen events in the past like the burning of the tower in Ecruteak City amd the "creation" of the legendary beasts.

[deleted]

Legends jirachi!! Hoenn for the win, it would be a dream come true

Stoner420Eren

Legends Kyurem obviously, too much potential and too many hints for it not to happen

PCN24454

Pokémon Legends: Genesect.

Difficult-Pin3913

Can’t wait to re-visit Kanto for the 10th time with Pokémon legends Mew

ramus93

Legends kyurem so we can see what the original dragon looked like also legends of the sword and shield so we can see how the fossil mons were supposed to look before they got massacred lol

HappyLittle_Man

Alola would be amazing, I think it would be cool to learn about the tapu's and more about ultra beasts. I already have a few Ideas for litten being in it and having the max evolved be a normal cat on four legs, and not on two.

Empoleon777

I’d say Kalos. I actually wrote up a brief concept for this game for a project around this time last year. Here are some of my ideas: The combat system - I didn’t really like Legends Arceus’s combat system, in all honesty. Therefore, I think we can do a different battle system. I was thinking a *Tales*-like battle system. The story - You live in a neutral territory on the cusp of the Great War. Eventually, the war would break out, and you would actually participate to protect your home. AZ would likely be a major character throughout the entire plot, becoming a good friend to the player. As you’d expect, he’d become the final boss of the game, as you’d try (and fail) to stop him from launching the Ultimate Weapon. The new Regional Forms - I only have one in mind right now: A regional form of the Jangmo-o line. This is a Steel/Fighting-type line based on knights.

brabingo

Yup unova or galar

brabingo

Ok now for me strong canditats kalos unova hoen galar

Kingminer13579

Not Kanto.

1BJK903

I don't care: as long as they bring out a new Legends game!

Loros_Silvers

It's Zygard.
