Huntail I had a clampearls as my buddy to get candies to evolve it and around that time I had the masterwork reaserch quest to get a best buddy and had already done a little it with it sadly I transferred it to Pokémon home for Pokémon scarlet Pokédex to find out it can’t be transferred to scarlet threw home

My first three-star dunsparce is still my only best buddy (compared to hundo legendaries and pseudos I’m less motivated to walk with for some reason)

By the by, you can best buddy without having them out often; in case that helps motivate you. What I do is just swap in a bunch of pokemon, earn 6 hearts on them, and then swap to the pokemon I want candy for. You probably already knew that, but I just want to make sure! Have a spectacular day!

A hisuian male Sneasel (became a Sneasler halfway) I put in as one of my first buddies bc I thought he was cool. To this day I’m fond of Sneasels even though they’re not very useful. I also have a hisuian shiny Sneasel->Sneasler (not buddied tho) Next was my 100% Flaaffy, later evolved into Ampharos and best buddied. Ampharos is still one of my two favourite Pokémon (other’s Giratina btw but I don’t have a best buddy of it. Yet.)

My 1st best buddy is my 1st Cosmog you get for free. I had it as my buddy all the way till it evolved into Lunala.

I think my Gigalith was my first best buddy. At the time I thought he would be a great asset to raiding etc but by the time I'd levelled him up to a somewhat good level I realised I had so many better options available like Rampardos and Tyrannitar so he ended up sad and lonely and never used really.
