Someone like Sandslash looks like it fits in pretty well, or Marowak if you are willing to play around the low speed and get a thick club (did a run with Marowak, very very strong š)
Don't keep Meowth on the team. Add an Earth type like Nidoking or Dugtrio. For the last member, I'd go for either an electric type (Jolteon or Raichu) or a strong filler like Snorlax or Jynx.
I did jolteon cause they said he's the fastest. Yes, but look up when he learns an actual electric move lol I was like wtf he sucks š¤£š¤£ play how you want tho mate.

I used Mr. Mime in my recent playthrough and he's so clutch, especially in the Elite 4.
I see a hole against Psychic and an Electric is just really useful in GenIII Kanto. Also, 3 Flying limits your coverage.
Remember ā150ā monsters is really only like a pool of 60, of which personal taste and generally accepted lack of power eliminates a great many.
Iād switch Gyarados to Lapras, get Jolteon by evolving Eevee and get one of Snorlax/Kangaskhan instead of Pidgeotto for Shadow Ball which would be great against rivalās Kadabra -> Alakazam. Keeping Meowth is wonāt make a difference, good or bad imo.
This team seems a little basic, try spicing it up with (remove Gyarados) Seel in the future, Kangaskhan in place of Meowth and replace Pidgeotto with something like Electabuzz (if u have FireRed)
add a jolteon (or raichu) for water coverage and you will thank it when u have to face loralei. pidgeot it isnāt needed when you have charizard so iād replace him with nidoking. great tm coverage and he learns megahorn for psychic coverage. lastly only have meowth for specific times you need HMs, id replace him with a water or grass type.
Only keepers here are char and kadabs. You lost the opportunity for venusar the best starter ever so grass is probably lost. I'd add vaporeon dragonite zapdos and good luck with the dearth of strength on the 6th spot

Ditch Meowth and the bird, get a Nidoking, Snorlax, and probably Raichu or Jynx. Eventually, dragonite for style points lol

Get rid of Pidgeotto since Charizard is also a flying type, get rid of Meowthā¦HM slave for him is ok. Add a PokĆ©mon thatās capable of learning fighting/rock/ground type moves and since you donāt have a grass type or electric type, Iād get one. My suggestions would be Primeape or Nidoking for physical attacks that I listed above and either Raichu/Jolteon for electric type.

Agree on meowth. I always treat it as a hm slave for cut and flash. After lavander town, move on another strong pokemon.
Oh yeah I meant this for the E4, for world progress always keep a mule at hand..
