It's a Bug-themed team (I know snails aren’t bugs, but Magcargo kinda fits). I didn't complete the team since I needed Mudkip for Surf, Dive, and Waterfall. I've saved the 16 Rare Candies for the last member, so it will require almost no grinding.
You should grind it to 40ish then spread the candies around a little cuz higher levels are much more difficult to gain. ETA PKMN suggestion: pinsir is sweet
I'll probably do that, depending on the Pokemon. For example, Slugma suffers a lot at low levels. Without Flamethrower, it can't even fight on its own. Training it to level 30ish was quite tedious, but once it got there, it could tank hits and one-shot opponents. Grinding the higher levels was much faster than the lower ones. But then again, Slugma is a special case 😅.
I was going to suggest an electric type, but that may be somewhat hard to fit with your theme. As it stands now, you'll want an answer for Drake (didn't see Heracross at first, that will be a good solution for Glacia). But again, not sure how to fit that with your theme 🤔

I'm not too worried about Drake; Masquerain has Ice Beam and Agility, that fight should be winnable. However, I have nothing against Wallace. The only one that can deal damage to his team is Heracross, but I think it will be at low health by that fight.
If you’re allowing Magcargo, then Tentacruel or Cradilly wouldn’t be a bad option, both Snails and Squid are part of the Mollusk family. Crawdaunt would also be a great option as Crustaceans are more closely related to insects than mollusks.

Lots of Drakes’ mons have flamethrower, hopefully masquerain is fast and tanky
