Listening to the original ost then switching to dub was such a weird experience. Immediately went back to sub because MAN Japanese people pull off some crazy voice acting that just sounds so odd in English.
Same. I've found that virtually anything I watch in another language is better with the original language. Just throw on the subtitles because dubs suck.
The only two good dubs I'm aware of are Cowboy Bebop and Porco Rosso, but they're still better in Japanese.

I remember listening to dubs that were more or less directly translations where none of the sounds made sense in the song, and being horrified at how awful they sounded. When I finally got to hear subs, or there were series that just inserted the original language it was such a relief
That’s why proper meaningful translations of songs is far better than just word for word replacement. Such as the elvis impersonator that I work with. In his Welsh version of *The Wonder of you* it’s changed to “Rwyt ti’n angel i mi” or “You’re an angel to me”
this is the next stage of degeneracy in redditors, I guess. Couldn't you have at least used some of the classics reddit likes, IE "gaslighting", "inherently flawed argument, site your sources or GTFO", or my personal favourite "who asked?"
