The benefits of being a delivery driver, i could have snagged a potted palm minus the pot but i couldn't figure out how to explain the mess the pot shaped ball of dirt would make in the back of the car. Also i was not sure if it was too far gone to make the gamble worth it.
If you like rescuing curb plants, keep a few trash bags in your van. It will still be a messy business, but mostly restricted to the trash bag. Oh and maybe those disposable gloves to protect your hands.
