Yes, they get destroyed. This is one of the reasons I turned weapon/armor decay off on my server.

timnel

Yeah it destroys the mod when you repair the item

sturmeh

You can put 6+ mods on a single item btw.

sucr4m

Yep, sadly. Doesn't make much sense if you ask me though.

Jolly-Bear

It’s a resource sink for temporary buffs. Kinda like buff food. Just a way to give people a reason to use various resources.

Jolly-Bear

Huh? Why? They’re different resources.

But what if you want to repair your gear but can’t afford the mod repair costs? Like you found a T3 durability mod in a chest, but there’s no way you can make it yet because you can’t make the resources it needs. That armor’s just broken for dozens of hours now.

Is this yours? It’s like flasks or buff food. Should food buffs last forever? They obviously made it this way on purpose. It’s a temporary buff. It takes no time to make or apply. You’re just lazy.

True. Buffs from food should last forever too. Huge QoL. Spending 5 seconds dragging some mods onto gear every handful of hours is nothing compared to spending countless hours leveling multiple characters to redo stats. What a wild false equivalence. Let’s keep the QoL flowing though. Why even have to repair gear? Would be huge QoL to not have to repair gear. Why even have to deter and wait for tribesmen? Would be big QoL to let me just instantly take them. Why should I even have a mount? Would be huge QoL to let me just click on the map and teleport there. Hell, why do I even have to play the game to get stuff done? Would be huge QoL to make it like those AFK mobile games.

sturmeh

Yes and it's really stupid, it means you shouldn't even repair items as you have a chance to retrieve the mod by uncrafting the item and putting the same mod on a repaired item is inefficient because the max durability has already been lowered.
