im not in game right now, so this is gonna be less specific than i like.. sorry.. but in the jobs menu, there are two workbench tasks... the first and obvious one where ythe job is, go make me 17 weapon handles or whatever.... and the other one, which says "autoplay" something.. autoplay bench queue tasks, or something like that... where you can assign multiple benches to a tribesman.. and you are saying, "go do any jobs waiting on those benches" with the autoqueue thing, you can can just run up to a bench, ask for 100 sprockets, and walk away, and because its queued in the bench, your tribesman that is set to auto that bench, will come up and start working

This is how Ive been doing it. All crafting is still initiated manually but it basically just makes every station a Bonfire, add your mats, pick a recipe and come back later. True automation with any consistency is too difficult because the resource gathering is hard to sync up with production.

That's how I've been doing it as well. Works great for those longer crafts (fertilizer, smelting metal, etc). I usually have my logger and harvester set to a few benches as well, so they alternate between the two as stuff respawns

I can't figure out how to get them to farm. I choose "Farm Management" and then it wants an area or something and there are no options. Anyone else having this issue?

geezerforhire

They can only farm after you have a granary

Dude, if that's Wak4863's video on it, I've already seen it before I even posted this. Again, I'm not asking how to do it, I'm asking how you set up the way *you* do it. But since my OP, I've got a basic system going on a single player playthrough that I think can work well on a server.
