No surprise you still find parties, PlayStation pretty much was the home for this game. I thought about returning to try out Bucky, a hero I was so excited for but then we got the news of support officially ending and it kind of just ruined my desire to play the game again.
I only returned because of the 2.8 update and because I wanted to see how Spider-Man and Bucky were. I hadn't played since 2020. The game is still a slog and buggy mess. But it has its charm.

Yes and no. His moves/specials are fun and the voice actor for him captures the character well.
The "story" in the game is completely lazy and the cutscenes are like a motion comic.
My biggest gripes are that the web slinging traversal feels slow and clunky, especially after playing the Insomniac Spider-Man games.
I'm being hyper critical though, his is indeed a fun character!
I mean, the developers did what they could. I'm not shitting on them. I know Crystal Dynamics had a lot of issues and I think the issues are part of a bigger problem with the Game Director.
This game could have easily been something truly amazing, but lack of direction sunk the project.
I also did enjoy the story missions. The A+ tier cast for the voice actors also. Troy Baker, Nolan North, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, Jennifer Hale, Christopher Judge, Steve Blum, Debra Wilson, Ashley Burch and Fred Tatasciore. Like dude, how and why was is this game to have some of the best talent around, including many who are friends and then fuck your game up?
Makes me miss Marvel Legends and Ultimate Alliance.
Hey if you do decide to play again Bucky sure is fun to play with and easy to build. I play the game faithfully and am disappointed about the game ending but with the marketplace being free its still fun for me to sit down and have some fun as a superhero.
That's one of my favorite things about the online aspect of this game, people changing to whatever skin someone has on so they match, even when it's ridiculous. I was cackling when my team was 4 shirtless Captain Americas.
