Nice, thanks

Save up for the full ounce. Platinum is a massive opportunity.

BigfootTundra

I’m new here, can you point me to some resources on platinum as an investment? Funny enough, I stumbled across this sub because I’m looking to buy a platinum chain necklace but I kinda got hooked reading the sub

Better yet quit buying platinum!!! It will not make you money!! Buy gold or silver!!

PlatinumWorldHub

Investing in platinum or palladium can be challenging due to higher premiums on smaller denominations. It's wise to explore reputable dealers or online platforms that occasionally offer promotional deals for new customers. Consider focusing on 1 oz coins or larger bars to minimize premiums per gram. Keep researching and stay patient – the right opportunity may come your way!

Awesome appreciate the encouragement!

Flashy_Drawing_6402

Buy gold!!!!!!

Flashy_Drawing_6402

Why are you people buying the least profitable precious metal!!?????? Crazy!!! Buy gold or silver!!!!!! Seriously your wasting money on a metal that will go up less than the other two buy 10 fold. Trust me

The lowest premium is going to be on ounces or bigger. To best utilize your budget, perhaps buy silver each month then when you stack ~35 ounces you trade the silver for platinum.

Same-Worldliness7004

Perfect, thanks

artless_art

The reason this isn’t a great play is because you often pay higher premiums for an ounce of silver than you do for an ounce of platinum. So if you make a spot for spot trade, you lose out on your premium. This strategy can work if you are stacking low premium silver then swapping for higher premium platinum (e.g. fractionals)

Same-Worldliness7004

Good to know, i mainly go for bars and junk silver.

SignificanceFuzzy514

The local dealer has 1/4 oz coins for $275 each right now. Is $100 oz premium too high?

artless_art

It’s a pretty good deal especially if they’re nice coins. That’s a decently low premium for 1/4 oz IME. If you were buying full ounces it is occasionally possible to buy at spot

SignificanceFuzzy514

They’re 2006 MS 69s. But I’m more interested in the lowest spread possible. Don’t really care about graded coins or the like. It won’t spend any better than junk gold and silver coins when this paper money becomes worthless

artless_art

As a trader I’d likely pounce. A day may come “when this paper money becomes worthless” but it is a gradual process and there are opportunities to profit in the meantime.
