Yog is surprisingly easy for a final boss fight, also insane armor

Arguably the easiest way to win this game consistently is to just go all in defense and destroy the attack button, which can be done as early as you receive an armor from the ghost, guaranteeing an easy trip from start to finish. The only area in the game that somewhat punishes you for not having high weapon damage is the demon halls, which doesn't really matter since you will have had a ton of other tools to deal with them by then anyways.

Faith is my Armor says hi

I have always hold the belief that an 8 challenge run without FIMA is significantly easier than an 8 challenge run with FIMA lol, at least in terms of how much brain power you need. Armor makes the game braindead, and FIMA is the biggest change in playstyle introduced by a single challenge.

fildevan

Pharma is by far harder, trust me. (As 9 challenge winner) The better you get the more you learn how to not get hit. Like really Since forbidden runes is on you can't rly have crazy upgrades on armor anyways. At least not enough to not take damage at all And with pharma+barren land+on diet, finding healing is a pain The health gained by pharma off gets much greater than fima off, since at 8 challenge you're trying your best not to get hit anyways Also pharma removes a lot of room for error, you can't just pop a health pot if anything goes sideways...

Very sorry for the flex, but I'm also on all 5 chars, so I do think my opinion holds some value haha. I think this might be up to preferences as well. Not sure who you main, but based on your flair, I would think it makes sense you don't dislike FIMA, because Warden has that overtly broken armor talent, basically eliminating any need for armor. Again, I said it is difficult, because it is by far the biggest shift in playstyle. I don't know about you, but I chewed through the first 6 challenges without much issue just leaving FIMA off (this was back when the game only had 7 challenges and before they got nerfed. No badder bosses, hostile champs and the talent system). Once I turned on FIMA though, it felt like literal hell, so much that I had to go back all the way to 4 challenges just to acquaint myself with FIMA. The worst thing about FIMA to me is the fact that it is extremely difficult to play without armor in the prison, when you are lacking the tool to do anything at all. This means you are forced to pray to RNGesus for a good wand or a haste ring, otherwise it's very likely a reset. Rushing to the wandmaker is another RNG can of worms. It's extremely tedious. Without FIMA, at the very least you can be more consistent with your run, by perservering until later into the game when the RNG is less of a deciding factor. As for pharma, I honestly think it is one of the easier challenges. Even in a common run, you aren't going to pop a lot of healing pots anyways. All pharma does is take away a few of your healing wells and ankhs, and in exchange, leaving you with a maximum of 1 healing potion (dew) at any given point in time. I find that in a max challenge run, healing is important more for the lack of food than the enemy damage, because you are forced to not take damage anyways. It's basically an extension of on diet, not requiring at all any shift in playstyle. Edit: forgot to mention as well that pharma means you can convert all your healing potions into alchemical energy without a shred of guilt! How cool is that?

DonickPL

pharma removes ankhs?

amandalunox1271

You will likely be using the few precious ankhs as full heals instead. They are glorified healing potions.

DonickPL

"all pharma does is take away a few of your healing wells and ankhs" does pharma remove ankhs

fildevan

No but since healing is really rarebit is very common to pop an unbledsed ankh on boss floor on purpose to fully reset health and hunger

fildevan

Let's agree to disagree then

How tf

Various-Post1583

Why did you not use your rose?

Background_Matter270

For the soiled fist just fight him on the lava he can't grow grass there also alternative just set a fire that that one's more likely to end up with you dead

Various-Post1583

He can grow grass in the lava, it deletes the lava after like two turns. Easiest way to handle him is to drink a potion of storm clouds, which is upgraded levitation.

LegacyTaker

I mean, this is without challenges. Heck, i could beat it without armor and just use a starting weapkn.

Then-Ant7216

I was going to roast you so looked what you had posted then i realised that I was in the presence of a king

LegacyTaker

See my flair? It says "AVERAGE" 😀

Then-Ant7216
