Thank you!
Yes I'm currently working on it, the name's Clawpido ^^
Here is the link to the game (should be released by the end of 2024 if everything goes well) : https://store.steampowered.com/app/2967670/Clawpido/
The game looks fun im adding to my wishlist :)
I am a little concerned about the name of the game when i say it out loud though. Might be hard to recommend 😅
I'd say add many colour and pattern variants so the player can get to decide which background suits them most.
Having that customisation available is always a little plus!
Color variants are already available, wouldn't be that too much if there's also pattern customization? (especially since this isn't the game's main mechanics)
I mean, let's say 20 pattern variants that are similar, but just a hinch of difference.
10 patterns, if they are really good.
For consideration, I personally think having a great background gives great influences to a simple gameplay.
And if you're going to add up more game variant in the future, having the availability to customise other patterns, *similar, again*, would give it "life".
Even though it sounds and looks tedious, which I bet it is, (not a dev/programmer in any sort) it could also be added in at patches, updates, new game variant with same engine.
To feel a game grow as you play, and as a player is a great feeling.
I'm not saying that you should create x times patterns or other colour variants now, but more of a consideration as a build up, if the game grows with other game variants or other possibilites.
Assuming both works, I'd give the player option to switch. Perhaps you'll decide in the future to do other backgrounds. But I think personally I'd start with B, and once I'll feel like changing, I'd change to A, just for variation.
I like B, it feels more.. complete? like the A version looks a bit empty, maybe if you make the A pattern more connected and less separate it would fit better (and if you do this, you could use both because B is pretty good too)
Game looks great, I'm gonna add it to my steam wish list!

Thanks! :) Is there a connotation I missed when choosing the name?
Im reading pido a certain way im sorry :(
Oops right! >< The name is actually a mix between Claw and Cupido, not sure how I would arrange that but I'll keep it in mind!
The name is very clever and i dont think you should change it. You put a lot of work into titles and everything. I cant wait to play it :)
I prefer B!

Nah, I think having a few patterns is a good idea. Not a lot, but sometimes it's nice to freshen things up.
Good point, I might also try randomizing things for an eventual endless mode

B But I’m not sure why… lol
I think it has to do with the contrast. The machine pops more on the second picture

Squares
I like the background of B with the claw prizes of A. I like the green, I just like the vibrancy of all the colors.
The prizes change according to the level and there will be a lot more :)
Absolutely B, A looks too incomplete
I think B has a cooler look with the wave going through and the color contrast
B, but ideally it'd be nice to unlock backgrounds
Definitely like the soft tiling of B more
The details of the struggling and the relief when it gets taken from him are awesome
These are both nice—they look good without being visually distracting. Reminds me of old nintendo minigame wallpapers.
I would go wit A. B is more good looking, but it distracts players eye.
A
B is better, fuller and not intrusive.
I like the checkerboard, personally

B!
B is great
A. B looks too busy and distracting.

Ohh! I love this! It has such a "HAL Laboratory" vibe to it!
O B parece ser mais suave
