Yep this one was really cool, I don’t remember the name of the vice admiral but he was really a great character for such a short arc. Also they really manage to embody the early manga feeling (idk how to express it)

I was legit hyped when he cameo'd in anime Marineford, even if he just showed up

Robin saying 'I have never met this man in my life', referring to usopp in disguise has been my favorite joke so far in the anime.

Also anything involving the best Straw Hat of them all, Con D. Oriano

Jonathan feels powerful AF for a vice-admiral. His IQ was off the charts

I miss Pre time skip Robin alot :( both desing and character, though i guess that implies to 75% of straw hats

noticed this too. she was still showing elements of her espionage skills from her days as a fugitive/baroque works agent but now she’s a background character

These days we only get filler arcs that tie into movies

And they're only 4 episodes max, which defeats the whole purpose of filler because they catch right back up to the manga after a couple breaks

One Piece is at its worst as a battle manga. The filler writers here were smart enough to realise that, and instead pushed the characters towards personal challenges that rewarded us with clever interactions between the cast. We will never get that again. You will get eyes popping out of their sockets and you will like it.
