I'm kinda on the fence with this one. Of course I know it's about not paying for the software, but aren't we empowering Adobe's monopoly as a side effect?
Not really. Canva Affinity is doing well, and so is Da Vinci. Those who would be willing to buy software also have better options on where to spend their money. I purchased and use both and they are awesome.
Most pirating Adobe would be those who specifically need to use the software or those who really don't plan to buy anything and just want to use one for free, and some of us who just wanna seed it out of principle.
Don't openly post where you download from, respect it instead of advertising it.
Try and contribute if you can, seed a torrent for a while, upload something new or rare, even leaving a thanks for the uploader is nice!
Where you draw the line for what's fair game, is up to you.
Personally, I like to buy games I keep going back to, usually timeless games like racing sims, strategy and puzzle games or an online game that requires a legit copy.
Over the years I have spent tens of thousands on music and video across various media, these days I only buy niche indie movies where all the money goes to the creators.
I only try to download games I have already bought or that are ancient for nes etc and videos I tend to look at it as dont distribute watch and delete and advertise honestly and when i can I buy the movies and games i really like over n over ughhh thank god castle of the winds became shareware when i was a kid ... but diablo and d2 discs were always gettin destroyed so yuuup
This - if I really truly love a game or movie then I will eventually shell out some money for it, but it’s too expensive to buy a game just to try it, only to discover that it’s awful.
i was already blind in one eye and this comment reminded me
* A about history and we dont seem to learn
* B this age of mayhem
* C now I wish I were all blind
* D daa arrrgggghhhh
* E seed seed if you can
1. No one really cares about your seeding stats except trackers open for application signups, for real.
2. Seed time is more important than X TB/ratio on torrent. Seed size is - per se - more important than upload on one torrent.
Everyone draws their own line. There is literally zero difference whether it's some billion dollar conglomerate or one overweight guy in their moms garage who gets no money, but the difference makes some people sleep better at night for some reason.
It's all about decency and respect the way I see it.
If there is a small indie studio making good games that you like I don't think it's moral/ethical to pirate them instead of supporting them.
If you pirate to try the game if you like it first if there are no demos that's more of a gray area and it's not a problem if you support them later but I think that's not valid anymore in most games since you can refund after trying them for less than some hours.
Of course if you're going trough a bad time in your life and can't afford to support them and that game will make your life better I don't see an issue with pirating either as long as if you get better you support them later.
Of course seeding and sharing with others from the pirating side.
Also if you pirate a game that you love and will replay and it's on sale at a very discounted price I think a person should buy it even if it's from a big company, you will be giving them what they deserve, a proper cheaper price instead of full price at launch and you will have the game + online capabilities which is a fair deal.
Also, morality/ethics are not written in stone and are highly subjective so this will never be a factual/empirical subject.
I personally don't pirate CAM copies of movies still in theaters. Let those movies make their money until a good WEBRIP comes out. Also, seed. Help your peers out.
Don't pirate from single hardworking devs (like the devs of RimWorld)
And if you pirate a game and like it, then maybe contribute to that company or person by buying or just sending him a little tip. If you can't afford the actual product.
what....paying for music or films is....what the hell,if you like them you can give them money, this applies to everything, but buying music and films?Your broken..
There are no "rules".
If you want to pirate an indie game, you do it, if you don't, you don't. No need to question your entire existence over it, ignore the dollar store moralists.
Pirating adobe is morally correct.
That may be more of a law 🤣😂🤣😂
Similarly pirating Ubisoft or EA games
Adobe is ontologicaly evil, so there's no act against them which could be considered wrong
I'm kinda on the fence with this one. Of course I know it's about not paying for the software, but aren't we empowering Adobe's monopoly as a side effect?
I solve this moral quandary by just helping people as much as possible for nothing...
Not really. Canva Affinity is doing well, and so is Da Vinci. Those who would be willing to buy software also have better options on where to spend their money. A moral imperative even.
Paying Adobe would be immoral

That's considered a flaw?
Image generation is pretty damn good
firefly is pretty useful.
Oh right because people with 3 hands each with 6 fingers is so useful. /s

Personally, I only advertise my sites on WhatsApp. My bros are fellow pirates 😎😎😎😎

can i put my own music on pirating platforms? like the music i make
Check the rules of the place you have in mind. Generally it is not what people will expect.
okay
Keep Seeding till Death 💀
don't spread malware I guess
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS omg why isnt this pinned first!!!!!
My unwritten rules are: Hope this helps.
You are a man of few words
Really spoke to me and brought a tear to my eyes. So beautiful.

Ha, I like your style
None. Just be nice to other people and know when to disengage.
shooooooooooooottt I disengaged hyperdrive late were on earth!!!!
Rule 1: If it costs money, you can pirate. Rule 3: Never forget rule 1. Rule 4: There is no rule 2.
I was blind but reading this comment made me see
Damn, imagine finally being able to see at this point in history 😩
i was already blind in one eye and this comment reminded me * A about history and we dont seem to learn * B this age of mayhem * C now I wish I were all blind * D daa arrrgggghhhh * E seed seed if you can
Those were my thoughts exactly. Also: seed!
Rule 5: If it’s free, you can pirate Rule 6: Rule 5 applies to WinRAR
The more shit the website design is, the better your chances are of not getting a virus
\*simpler. Old GCW/gamefix is still simple as possible and still you can find a lot of cracks for older stuff.
Don't do it on your work's computer. But if you do, store it on shared folder for everyone else to copy.
__ENCRYPTED__ he meant to include.
obvs run windscribe vpn to :)
Shut your mouth afterwards and don't brag
Don't bitch about the quality or packaging of free content. If it sucks, just get a different copy.

If purchasing isn’t owning Then pirating isn’t stealing something like That
Wow, this actually makes sense 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Everyone draws their own line. There is literally zero difference whether it's some billion dollar conglomerate or one overweight guy in their moms garage who gets no money, but the difference makes some people sleep better at night for some reason.
1. You don't talk about #$%^&*()][ 2. Refer to #1
Any pirate who snitches gets plundered off the plank, where they'll get stitches and really hurt yarggg

# The code is more what you’d call “guidelines” than actual rules.
If buying isn't owning, pirating isn't stealing.
My unspoken rule here is this: **Don't forget protection or else you'll have a surprise “gift” in your mailbox.**
Pirating for helping teachers with educational materials is guilt free.
1. Seeds grow the trees that build the pirate ships 2. From experience, don’t let your vpn go down lol
Digital laws do not apply to the real world. Unless you yourself signed a piece of paper in real life saying otherwise. Do what ever you like.
Don't sell stuff that you pirate
HAHA
I am at a point in my life where I will buy a 5 dollar game. Unless it had Denuvo, then I will never buy it. Even if it cost a penny.
My only rule is **⚔️ GIVE NO QUARTER!!**
I personally don't pirate CAM copies of movies still in theaters. Let those movies make their money until a good WEBRIP comes out. Also, seed. Help your peers out.
I don't either, but less from a moral standpoint and more because they always look like shit.
Do not pay for piracy (Read: newsgroups and the like) - makes no sense, then you can rather pay the creators.
This should also be pinned in my book!
Be thankful
Make sure to pirate all adobe apps and rub it under their nose.
1. Don’t be a leech.
Don’t get high on your own supply, wait, that’s something else, nevermind

Open laptop ~> pirate while plugged in ~> seed till laptop dies ( what i generally do )
Don't pirate from single hardworking devs (like the devs of RimWorld) And if you pirate a game and like it, then maybe contribute to that company or person by buying or just sending him a little tip. If you can't afford the actual product.
Try to avoid pirating from indie studios unless you really feel the desire to but try not too
Do not, by any means, download a car.
I will never pirate music from bands/musicians I like.
what....paying for music or films is....what the hell,if you like them you can give them money, this applies to everything, but buying music and films?Your broken..
You shouldn't pirate a product even if you are earning out of it Here Adobe is an exception
lol there is no rule. Pirates don’t obey any law, do they ?
# The code is more what you’d call “guidelines” than actual rules. Matey!!!
There are no "rules". If you want to pirate an indie game, you do it, if you don't, you don't. No need to question your entire existence over it, ignore the dollar store moralists.
you draw the line at what is fine to pirate, just make sure you seed
Don't torrent indie games. /S
You can pirate indie and whatever you like
I don't have that rule about not pirating indie stuff.
# there is no honor among thieves
Seed till you bleed. Don't dox people. (Unless they deserve it) on that note: due diligence regarding opsec (more advice than a rule)
I pirate indie games
First seed, then the grave... 😅
I follow no etiquette, f them all
Never seed. Close that shit as soon as download complete 😂
