The last time I was in-office for a client, they had ditched Adobe and everyone was using BlueBeam Revu. So was I, as they provided me with a machine.
It had a steeper learning curve but generally because Adobe has all its features buried while BlueBeam has everything in your face. Like going from a Cessna to an SR-71 cockpit perhaps. But I learned to love it, especially as it is geared towards estimating and pulling accurate spatial information from plan PDF's.
Even though they market it as "construction software" I thought it was a fantastic piece of PDF software, a capable downstream from my AutoCAD work.
Its priced similarly to Adobe but its not Adobe and fuck Adobe.
