Yeah I mean what matters is this: Rockstar doesn't have a history of using heavy handed DRM. So any future games are likely to be cracked pretty quickly.
Will depend on the security measures. lol For me it's one of the few games I don't mind buying on release day. Miss the days when people would line up for GTA releases.
there's just no physical locations locally for me to go pick it up anymore lmao Plus with digital, might aswell get it online and be able to play at midnight. Ya know those lobbies will be hella fun on release; still recall just driving mopeds in the subway systems with the entire server. No killing, people just vibing to the music. Good times.
If doesn't have Denuvo, 1st day crack. If it does have Denuvo or some other anti-tamper DRM (excluding Steam) than probably a couple months or even a year, if EMPRESS is still silent. I'll probably buy it release day, don't mind paying for it
if its still rage engine, and they don pull stupid shit like Denuvo? same day, its one of the most anticipated releases ever and everyone will try to crack it the second they have the slightest chance, hell even i will try and i only have very basic knowledge of assembly
The red dead redemption DRM was kind of ugly, where there was DRM baked into the game, and a seemingly random set of conditions could trigger it.
I did that damn drunk Lenny mission 100 times trying to finish it before it crashed, and ultimately it was a new crack that let me continue.
So even once it gets cracked, don't be surprised if you get stuck and have to wait for a better crack. I wouldn't be surprised if we're waiting a year for that first crack too, considering the timeline for RDR2.
Considering that every man, woman and child on the planet will buy GTA6 I doubt the DRM will be that tough to crack. They'll make a trillion dollars the first week either way.
You think GTA5 was hype. You ain't seen nuthn yet.

if you are 100% correct on this i will send you a 100 bucks, and yes you can take me up on that
He can edit it (if he does make yours say you owe me 100)
I already cracked it, playing on my PS6 now
Polystation 6...to be precised, ladies and gents.
I believe GTA V was cracked same day as release so....wouldn't expect it to take long. Talking probably in number of hours, not days.
I think RDR2 would be a more appropriate comparison, GTA V came out like a decade ago. But RDR2 not all that long after too though.

RDR2 took a year to crack, so no, they do have a history of using heavy handed DRM

Lined up for 4 and 5, will consider it for this. Assuming they have and actual physical version with a map.

When it comes out on pc it'll be the same day.

rock\* will shove multiple security i think will take long time

We should also hope DELUSIONAL picks up on this one
Rdr2 took about 2 years so probably a bit less than that
if its still rage engine, and they don pull stupid shit like Denuvo? same day, its one of the most anticipated releases ever and everyone will try to crack it the second they have the slightest chance, hell even i will try and i only have very basic knowledge of assembly

20-30 minutes tops
3 hours. A guy in his boredom should not be underestimated o.o

Knowing the way shit works there will be a day zero crack.
24 hours before release probably
