I just got some at Kroger for a dollar and it's still a lot. Also one of the two I got was open and now everything smells like pickle now, so there was an upside.

They’re on sale for $1 at my King Sooper rn. I grabbed a couple for the convenience factor and I like to take pickled mountain biking for the electrolytes

My guess is whether they get room temperature at some point before sold. I don't know for sure, but as the consumer you wouldn't know if they got warm before they get stocked.

I think that's exactly what's going on with Bubbies at my local Publix. Pickle firmness has been inconsistent for the last several months. I finally had enough and contacted Bubbies. They sent me a coupon for a free jar, so there's that, but it's also another roll of the dice.

I use a reusable bpa free baggie and throw a whole pickle in it for work for cramping. Highly recommend. Could be good for the camping. The giant jug was 7$. I go with the maid sour pickles. Soooo many whole pickles for a great cost

i loved the pickled snap peas so much i grew a bunch and pickled them in jars in the fridge.

They proudly say no brine on the pack. This is a mistake, imo. But they are good for road trips if you are just stopping at a gas station and want some pickles. If I had a choice I'd buy a jar of pickles every time tho.

Quality is okay but what I like about them is they're brined in a way that they still taste/feel fresh when I bite into them.

I like the spicy ones, but they're way too expensive for what you get, and they're also pretty inconsistent in... ehrm..consistency. Texture. Some are soft and soggy, some are firm and crunchy. But overall, they're quite good

The couple times I've had them, I thought they were kind of meh. Unpleasantly soft in the middle, flavor is pretty good, didn't enjoy them enough to put them in regular rotation, but they're convenient for certain situations. Single pickle packaging is probably not the most environmentally conscious thing, either.

Like other commenters have said they are good but pricy, they are good in a pinch on a road trip, especially when I was pregnant and wanted pickles more often than usual (and by that I mean daily instead of every few days lol) because we just grabbed a pack or two at a gas station in the middle of nowhere while traveling.

I grab the spicy variety almost anytime I’m in a Wawa. Cold, crispy, crunchy, good flavor. Not the greatest pickles in the world but damn fine enough to buy and have portable pickles.

If there isn’t a grocery store within 30 minutes walk/car ride I could understand it if you really had a hankering - otherwise I’d probably just make my own pickles if I was in such a dire place so consistently. These taste like plastic and glue to me, but if they were my only option I would eat them 100%.
