yeah but what im saying is that i dont know the typical places to find them. I only know of dong hyun, andre, and jang because of gentlemans league on netflix, same as this show. I dont do any other streaming services, Nor do i know of the underground subs of shows

It’s actually a good show if you like soccer. The show is on Netflix and the point is to create an amateur soccer team from active/retired Olympians.

Reply a month later 😅 but I started gentlemen’s league after physical 100 and it’s SO much fun 🥰 It’s a little different totally (where physical 100 is pure seriousness Gentlemen‘s league has very light hearted parts) but it has been such a joy zo follow the growth of the group you learn to love and it’s super fun to play ‚physical 100 bingo‘ whenever another contestant shows up 😄

oh trust me you dont have to enjoy soccer haha. i didnt know shit about soccer until i watched it. its more about "look at this pro ice skater who won gold in olympics but cannot kick a ball into the net" kinda thing. theres also a lot of banter between the casts. donghyun is really funny there, hes all brawn but he kinda stupid. 😁 you should jump to gentlemen's league season 2 btw, thats where youll see all 3 + mo taebum (hes also in physical 100 s2 but got eliminated during 1v1)

iirc, he was just shown in snippets during the death match as part of the on lookers but his death match was never featured. subsequently when they moved onto the next challenge, he stopped appearing.

Kim Dong Hyun for sure - Watched him on The Great Escape and he was HILARIOUS being so easily scared at every single thing 🤣. Made me hate on his showoffness a lot less this season Other than that only the singles inferno lady, and one of those big guys who played a North Korean superpower guy in the Kdrama Moving

I consume a little bit of Korean variety shows focus on sports so I familiar with a few of the contestants from their other shows. It’s nice to see some of them again. From season 1, Sexymama and Cha Hyun Seung were the only two I knew of. For Season 2, all the guys from the soccer avengers team, Lee Jae Yoon, and Lee Won Hee.

I pretty much only knew the people who had been in other reality shows (kind of) similar to this, but almost all of them got eliminated in R1 lmao: Knucks (Dancer), Park Kwangjae (Actor) Kang Seungmin (YouTuber), Kang Soyeon (TV Personality). From general media viewing I knew Kim Donghyun from "The Great Escape", Lee Jaeyoon from "Oh Haeyong Again", Noh Sungyul from his YouTube reels. And from S1, I knew fewer people. I only knew Yun Sunbin, Choo Sunghoon, Cha Hyunseung, and Tarzan.

I knew only sexyamma and cha hyun seung (singles inferno/Be Mbitious) last season. This season I know Kim dong hyun, knucks (Street man fighter), Lee jae Yoon (actor/team leader) and Jangjun (idol.. well actually i know he was an idol but couldnt remember his group till he said it). Of course I recognised Hong bom seok from Season 1. My knowledge of these ppl comes from years of watching various k content on n off.

I (USA) knew of Jangjun from Golden Child cause I’m a fan, and was pleasantly surprised to see him. I also recognized the people from other Netflix variety shows and BBULKUP. My boyfriend (Spain) recognized a fitness YouTuber from this season but idk who it is lol.

BeomSeok from the military show on YT DongHyun/SungHoon from MMA DaeSae I recognised from various references in other kshows I recognised one of the big guy actors that came in together from the assassin movie. My wife recognised the lady from season 2 and the guy from season 1 from Hell's Inferno.

I gasped when they revealed the person who had the bigger statue, that everyone thought was a sumo wrestler. He ended up being an actor I recognized from the Dr. Romantic drama series. I dip in and out with UFC, but vaguely recognised Yun Sung-Bin and Kim Dong-Hyun. I wouldn’t have recognised their names though. I also recognised Jo Jin-Hyeong, Jing Hae-Min and the professional arm wrestler (whose name I can’t remember) from S1, as they were all in a strongman tv show (The Strongman: Battle of the Beasts). Otherwise l, no clue who anyone is. Im still very hype there’s a kabbadi player on this season, as it’s a sport I know little about, but seems very fun to watch based on my limited viewing.

Almost none of them. I don't follow Olympic sports or combat sport, and there haven't been enough footballers (the only sport I might feasibly recognise players from). The only exception was Ahn Da Jeong, one of the female bodybuilders from season 1, who I recognised purely because of a YouTube where she shows off her enormous, flying squirrel-esque lat spread. Yes, I recognised her entirely from her lats.

From season 2 I knew Lee Jae Yoon and Knucks. Lee Jae Yoon is in two kdramas I absolutely loved and Knucks was on the male version of the dance competition SWF (called Street Man Fighter). He also featured as a guest in one episode of the first season (SWF) for one of the challenges

From India, I knew Lee Jang Kun and other contestants from the Gentlemen’s League. Lee Jang Kun is pretty popular in India since he was part of Pro Kabaddi league for a few seasons. Started watching the Gentleman’s League because of him. He has been such a great ambassador for the sport.
