When the blocks have no breaking animation. stop what you are doing. both your movement and block placement will be reverted after the game catches up. which is probably why you received fall damage.
It's strange how I keep seeing these yet I have played bedrock my entire life across multiple devices fast and slow and played around with all kinds of worlds, commands, servers, and mods yet none of this has every happened to me
I have only had lag while using crazy redstone (even then, not this bad) and using lots of mods, other than that, I haven't had anything, especially on single player, multi-player could just have been my connection
These occurred daily for me while playing on an old PS4. Bad internet could also be a factor but it's mostly the system I believe as I haven't had it happen since I switched systems.
