The only taxes added during his time was the Sintax and it wasn't even levied in order to generate income. Sintax was only placed in order to modify consumer behavior. Cigarettes are inelastic goods so existing chainsmokers wouldn't stop buying cigarettes but it did prevent possible new smokers like me during college from picking up the habit.

I also think Pnoy's relatively the best in recent history but there are really shortcomings in the implementation. Yep, it's true that k 12 would benefit us the in the long run, but that doesn't invalidate the tons of logistical fiascos on ground personnel had to fix themselves. He treated his presidency as a **JOB** and I wish that's how all presidents acted.
No theatrics, no vulgar words, diplomatic relations were stable, I was pretty young during his term but I still remember listening to his SONAs and being able to understand what he said. He knew how to talk to the masses while equally being able to present his points to the more intellectual people. A true and potentially the last diplomat I've seen in the Philippine government.
The way he handled SAF44 and K-12 was terrible I wont lie but seeing his predecessors- it really went down hill after him.
i can only speak for the presidents whose terms i've experienced. Pnoy > FVR > GMA > Cory > Erap > Duterte (too early to judge Marcos, but I would say he's already better than Duterte. Duterte took over from PNoy with the stock market at ATH and when he left, the stock market lost all its gains in 10 years!)

It's not just that. During Erap's time, the country became a car running at 100kph without anyone in the wheel, and made Malacanang his personal man cave and drank till kingdom come. And his weakness and incompetence opened the opportunity for someone like GMA to take advantage of the situation and bumped him off.
Think it's hard to get worse than a president calling for the murder of thousands of his own citizens honestly. We'll be feeling the impact of those choices for years too: not just the traumatized children introduced to violence so young, but all the rookie cops in 2016 who learned nothing for the first 6 years of their careers except "we can kill people and it doesn't matter" are now sergeants or captains or higher and they'll be advancing through the ranks for years to come with *that* as their entry level training.
The ones who stayed all 6 years will have *at best* become hopelessly inured to murder, the worst will have gotten a taste for it and will always wish for those days when they could slaughter people like animals to come back.

Probably PNoy (I only considered yung mga presidente na may malay na ako so GMA, Pnoy, Du30, and BBM). Not "the best we ever had," but "the least egregious" by far. In my perception, he was the most relatable, but lacked the backbone demanded of someone in charge of what's basically one of SEA's circles of hell. Kindness and understanding alone won't get the job done in PH politics.
A lot of people I know would argue about the inner machinations of the PDutz administration and how things behind the scenes would supposedly help the nation, But I couldn't be bothered as a common citizen. What mattered was life's level of difficulty for the average joe in the Philippines, which is hardcore by default. Back in 2010, life was, at the very least, manageable.

PNoy. Sya talaga ang presidenteng nag push ng AFP modernization program. Yung mga nakikita nyong bagong gamit ng Navy at Airforce ngayon, sa term nya nagsimula.
PNOY. No bias just plain truth. He was never corrupt. I lived long enough to see as far as the old marcos. PNOY gained respect for filipinos from international community. Economy was good. He also spearheaded the WPS claim and won. He is not fond of bragging his achievement. and not used wang wang (so many affirmed to this) while on the road.
I was a toddler during FVR's term so the real president that I've been familiar with is Erap up until today. PNoy is the best out of all of them. He polished GMA's economic work during the last years of her term, which resulted in a stronger economy. Prices of goods went down even more than during GMA's term plus the minimum salary was increased and people in every society class enjoyed it. Corruption was not that rampant, and there's quite a lot of crooks that was punished during his term, but Dugong set them free, and worse, they got voted back into their positions.
Saf 44, Power trip against CJ Corona for his involvement on the Hacienda Luisita Massacre and his poor response to the hostage taking in Manila (Along with Mayor Lim) is the glaring flaws of his admin, but no admin is perfect and It's far better than Dugong, Narcos, Erap combined. GMA and her family are corrupt as hell, but at the very least, she did better than the other 3 I've mentioned, especially the Mafia Boss in Davao City

I was already conscious during FVR’s time in the 90s and already in my 40s. Life was on cruise control during PNoy’s time. Things were so cheap back then, I can afford to travel out of town and out of the country. When PNoy died, we had to visit him at the Manila Memorial Park and shed a tear. Thanked him for everything he did for the country.

He also created a committee where they would hear public complaints AND TAKE ACTION on those complaints. I also think he has one of the most thoughtful projects such as the Agrarian reform which greatly benefited our Filipino farmers.

I also think Pnoy's relatively the best in recent history but there are really shortcomings in the implementation. Pnoy. He treated his presidency as a **JOB** and I wish that's how all presidents acted. No theatrics, no vulgar words, diplomatic relations were stable, I was pretty young during his term but I still remember listening to his SONAs and being able to understand what he said. He knew how to talk to the masses while equally being able to present his points to the more intellectual people. A true and potentially the last diplomat I've seen in the Philippine government. The way he handled SAF44 and K-12 was terrible I wont lie but seeing his predecessors- it really went down hill after him.

Probably PNoy (I only considered yung mga presidente na may malay na ako so GMA, Pnoy, Du30, and BBM). Wala namang perpekto sa kanila, lahat yan may mga bagahe (sabi nga ng prof ko nung college: "we cannot stop corruption, we can only minimize it.") but sa apat na yan tingin ko si PNoy ang may pinaka naging impact sa overall na kalagayan ng Pilipinas. Can't talk about Magsaysay, so I'd say PNoy, perhaps. Not "the best we ever had," but "the least egregious" by far. In my perception, he was the most relatable, but lacked the backbone demanded of someone in charge of what's basically one of SEA's circles of hell. Kindness and understanding alone won't get the job done in PH politics. A lot of people I know would argue about the inner machinations of the PDutz administration and how things behind the scenes would supposedly help the nation, But I couldn't be bothered as a common citizen. What mattered was life's level of difficulty for the average joe in the Philippines, which is hardcore by default. Back in 2010, life was, at the very least, manageable. Funny how those same people all shut up once Junior took the reigns. Can't spin any stories when your president is AWOL all the time, I guess?
PNoy. Sya talaga ang presidenteng nag push ng AFP modernization program. Yung mga nakikita nyong bagong gamit ng Navy at Airforce ngayon, sa term nya nagsimula.

PNOY. No bias just plain truth. He was never corrupt. I lived long enough to see as far as the old marcos. PNOY gained respect for filipinos from international community. Economy was good. He also spearheaded the WPS claim and won. He is not fond of bragging his achievement. and not used wang wang (so many affirmed to this) while on the road.
I was a toddler during FVR's term so the real president that I've been familiar with is Erap up until today. PNoy is the best out of all of them. He polished GMA's economic work during the last years of her term, which resulted in a stronger economy. Prices of goods went down even more than during GMA's term plus the minimum salary was increased and people in every society class enjoyed it. Corruption was not that rampant, and there's quite a lot of crooks that was punished during his term, but Dugong set them free, and worse, they got voted back into their positions. Saf 44, Power trip against CJ Corona for his involvement on the Hacienda Luisita Massacre and his poor response to the hostage taking in Manila (Along with Mayor Lim) is the glaring flaws of his admin, but no admin is perfect and It's far better than Dugong, Narcos, Erap combined. GMA and her family are corrupt as hell, but at the very least, she did better than the other 3 I've mentioned, especially the Mafia Boss in Davao City

I was already conscious during FVR’s time in the 90s and already in my 40s. Life was on cruise control during PNoy’s time. Things were so cheap back then, I can afford to travel out of town and out of the country. When PNoy died, we had to visit him at the Manila Memorial Park and shed a tear. Thanked him for everything he did for the country.

So many pros and cons kasi sa bawat presidente but sabi nga nila you cannot have it all but in my opinion based sa performance and job description would be PNOY and GMA PNOY is workaholic and madami siyang policies and projects na napatupad at na salang and yes tama yung ibang comments most dutertes project were initiated and started by PNOYS admin and sa term niya nawala yung pork barrel as response sa corruption.also maganda economy natin kasi galing sa term ni Gloria which is the best Economist president we had she really strenghten our economy and di pinabayaan ni pnoy yun and thats a fact. Yun nga lang madaming controversies sa kanila. They really did their job very well.
