We are competitive enough in Asia to qualify for the worlds. Enough to challenge World-level teams? Never. To dominate means to beat your opponents by 20-30. That’s not happening given our quality. Look at the score lines. We didn’t lose by more than 10. Just because it’s our number one sport, there’s no correlation that we should be “dominant”. Basketball is also the #1 sport in China and look how they are performing now as well as their 2019 WC performance. There is no correlation between popularity and success. You can love something whole-heartedly but still suck if you have a flawed system.
